This place is a cute place to come for a day date with family or spouse. I was referred here buy a close friend and I enjoyed it. Service-Maria was very friendly. She apologized to another customer ahead of us for taking too long because there was 7 adults and 7 kids in my group. But the service was fast once she had everyone's orders in. Drinks-I ordered Sierra iced tea and my wife got the avocado salted cream. I'm a fan of anytime calamansi so this was the obvious choice. Pretty dang good. I finished mine in under 5 minutes. It was super refreshing. It made me curious to try so many other items on the menu. Cleanliness- I have a pet peeve for cleanliness especially in the bathrooms. I went inside the bathroom and everything was marble tiles from the floor to the walls and EVERYTHING was sparkling clean. When we were sitting drinking our tea I noticed that Maria was wiping everything down. Clean environment and refreshing drinks. Definitely made a me a future customer. read more

New boba place in Glendale! And they're a Filipino owned business which is a plus in my book. It's in the same strip as Highlight Coffee for those familiar with that cafe. In terms of parking, definitely look for street parking or park in the Chipotle/Dollar Tree parking lot at your own risk. The street parking nearby is free after 6pm on the weekends but metered parking (free after 8pm) during the week. Inside: Very cute and terrazzo-esque, if you will. There are areas to sit down inside and I also saw outlets there as well in case you plan on doing some work or study. It's bright and airy as soon as you walk in so it feels very inviting. Drinks: I ordered the Hojicha Green Milk Tea and it was very good! Unfortunately they ran out of boba but they suggested egg pudding for the drink, and it turned out really well! My sister also ordered the Minty Tamarind with lychee and that was refreshing also! They have unique drinks on their menu so definitely worth going back to to try. They're definitely up and coming, and still in the process of starting out and getting into the swing of things so be very patient with them when it comes to making drinks. But the hospitality from the owner is definitely there, which is plus in my book. I would definitely come back to try their signature fruity tea drinks. read more

LOVE the selection of teas, coffees, lattes, and their signature drinks. The decor is so modern, simple, and inviting and so was the staff. It was hard for me to choose a drink because everything sounded appealing. Since it was after dinner, I wanted to avoid caffeine and ordered the Ube Salted Cream with 75% sweetness. I really enjoyed how the drink turned out. It was the perfect amount of sweetness and refreshing that I was looking for. I'm sure anyone would be able to find a drink they love at this shop. read more

Happy cup ? Lol more like no cup. The cashier that was supposed to serve me couldn't pour milk and tea in a cup while I was using the restroom so I paid for a drink I didn't even get. Right after I came out of the restroom my bus got to the stop so I had no time to wait for her to pour my drink. It was literally dead in there so there no reason she couldn't have made my drink. I walk out of the restroom and she's chit chatting in the back. Way to make customers a priority. read more

We saw good reviews so we stepped in but woah.. I will say the boba pearls itself is super good. The drinks however have little to no flavor. The service was baddddd. I asked if they had a certain flavor and the worker just stared at the menu for a minute and had no response until I said it's okay nevermind. And then he made our order incorrect. Twice!! (We already waited a while for the drinks so we just left at this point). I also asked if the drinks usually run super sweet and he had to response again and said I can pick my sweetness level. No what I asked?? There was no one in the store and we ordered very slowly so I'm surprised there was a misunderstanding. The jasmine milk tea just tasted like milk. And the Indio again had little to no flavor :// the boba pearls were good tho that's about it. read more

Found this place after doing some shopping at the Los Feliz flea market. Ordered several fruit flavored drinks. All of them are refreshing and good. Added bonus are the welcoming and pleasant personalities of the people behind the counter. Place is easy to find. Building where the store is located is at the corner of Broadway and Glendale. I've driven by this place so many times, it's located off of Glendale Ave, a very busy street and parking in that area is a mess. I found street parking perpendicular to it as I was running errands in the area and wanted to drink something refreshing that was not coffee. It's cute and quiet inside, I was the only customer that time (weekday afternoon) and the worker there was very nice and gave me some recommendations. After hemming and hawing I finally ordered Sunrise- no sugar. I think it only came in one size, it wasn't cheap but it was very tasty (and it definitely didn't need sugar as it was naturally sweet). I will definitely be back to try something different next time! Glad they have something like this in Glendale so I don't have to go all the way to K-town or Pasadena. read more

After searching for an amazing boba spot city to city, from Pasadena to North Hollywood - I found the best spot right in my own neighborhood! Literally might be the best Brown Sugar Milk Tea I've ever had. The drinks actually look photo worthy or like a commercial would look like. The brown sugar actually tasted nice and roasted. Pretty small boba shop, the looks of this place can be deceiving. The inside of this shop looked really chill and they had good music playing (88rising playlist). The only parking available is metered parking, so it can be a bit difficult to find close spots to park. I ordered a lavender milk tea, as it is one of my favorite milk tea flavors. Normally, the flavor of the lavender is apparent but isn't overbearing on the entire drink. However, this lavender milk tea missed the mark completely. Something tasted really strange that left a rancid aftertaste. It was really tempting to throw away the drink. Very unlike many other lavender milk teas from other boba shops. With the difficulty of finding parking and the poor quality of drinks, I'd recommend taking your business elsewhere. read more

Im not sure if they were having an off day, but my boyfriend and I were super disappointed with our drinks. We placed an order on postmates and our drinks took over an hour to arrive.. keep in mind we live 5 mins away. Our postmates driver had to message us saying they were swamped and that he was waiting there for a while. Had the drinks been really good, we probably wouldn't have mind waiting. Because all good things come to those who wait right? Lol well. Not in this case! I ordered their Dalgona roasted oolong milk tea with boba. They forgot to sweeten the drink! The boba itself was also not sweet. I literally had to add sugar into my drink at home... :( Boyfriend's drink did not make an impression, but at least it was drinkable, unlike mine. T_T I'm not sure if our drinks were rushed in a sense because they were so busy, but we wouldn't have mind waiting had the drinks been properly made. Happy Cup? More like sad sad saddd cup :( We will bring our loyalty back to Bobatime. read more

Best boba drinks in the Burbank-Glendale area. Love how you can pick the sweetness level of the drinks. They have many different flavors of drinks and toppings on the menu that you won't find elsewhere. My son loves the ube slush with boba. This is not on the menu, but they make it for my son every time. They do have an ube salted type slush drink. We just opt for the unsalted one. I love the coffee milktea. I find that 50% sweetness is perfect for the slushes and milk teas. Just gives a slight sweetness and not overly sugary. They can also make it with no sweetness. We normally find parking on the side of the building. Hard to park in front because there's a bus stop right in front of the store. Last but not least, the people who work there are super helpful. This place is for sure worth the drive. A thousand times better than the chain boba shops around. read more

Visited for the first time today feeling optimistic since I saw the overall great rating and got excited about the menu. My partner and I walked into the shop and there was only one person working. We were the only ones there. The decor is kinda cute I guess. We placed our order for a lavender milk tea 100% sweet with basil seeds, the cucumber lime + mint 50% sweet (big mistake) with basil seeds, and a large calamansi slush 100% sweet with mango star jelly (which isn't star-shaped btw so I was kinda confused if that meant it was mango starfruit flavor or something else? I've had star-shaped jellies before so that's what I was expecting). A few minutes after ordering, a couple other people started showing up and in total we probably waited about 20 minutes for those three drinks. The slush came out first and was half melted by the time we got the last two drinks. The person working forgot to add the basil seeds and when I asked for them in both drinks, they acted as if it were an inconvenience that they made my drinks incorrectly and that I noticed and nicely asked to get it fixed. I asked to see the physical receipt again but they said it was already in the trash, and didn't offer to just look up my order on the register to confirm I did pay for the toppings I did not initially receive. Their mask was hanging under their nose as they were trying to keep up with orders. Overall not a super great experience with the person working during our first time there. When we left and finally got a chance to try our drinks, the fizzy drink I ordered was *actually* inedible because it was so sour and it tasted like they used flat Perrier. When I asked for 50% sweet, the employee told me it usually doesn't have much sugar but did not advise me to get 100% sweetness, which I feel like still wouldn't have been sweet enough to counteract how much lime was in the drink. I don't think they even tasted it at all before giving it to me and I would have appreciated a heads up if they knew my drink was going to taste terrible with less sugar. The calamansi slush was *very* lightly sweetened despite having 100% its normal sugar. Any less sugar and it would have tasted way too watery to be enjoyable. This was the best drink we ordered. The lavender milk tea was fine. I want to give this place a second chance because it seems like a lot of people have good great experiences. Maybe I need to come in when the owners are there to see what Happy Cup is really about because this initial visit was underwhelming. read more

I really wanted to love this place however, it just didn't fully do it for me. I got the butterscotch milk tea and minty watermelon. I have asked for 75% sugar and 100% sugar on the MW, but somehow, I think they mixed it up since my milk tea was SOOO sweet and the watermelon was not. Both drinks were also not cold and the boba didn't have any taste although it was very chewy. Got lucky on the parking as there's a bunch in front of the dollar store :) read more

This review is for 03/31/22 If you know me, you would know I am not a boba snob. In fact, I am easily impressed. I am sorry to say but this has got to be the worst boba place I've ever tried. I ordered Roasted Oolong tea with boba and pudding. The boba is chewy and not too sweet. Pudding has a good texture, tastes meh. My order tasted like there's no tea in it. The staff tried their roasted oolong and agreed that the tea is extremely watered down. They offered to brew a new one which was cool. But then informed me they are out of boba for the day (?) - come on, I went at around 1730. They gave me a refund. There were 3 staff that day. The guy who handles the cashier was very helpful. I couldn't say the same for the 2 women he works with. They looked so lost. I really hope this place improves. Good decor though. read more

Name matches the shop....truly happiness served in every cup. My daughters and I came in to try this new boba shop and walked out incredibly happy! I had the Hesperia at 50% sweetness and it was perfect for me. I'm happy my drink was more naturally sweet rather than "syrupy"sweet...if that makes sense. I loved the jellies at the bottom too! I work nearby so I will definitely be stopping by on my breaks....The shop is bright, simple and colorful. There are tables and chairs for you to sit and enjoy. Great, friendly service too. As the daughter of a Mom who owned a small restaurant, I know the hard work, hopes and dreams one puts into starting up a business. The remodel and details in the shop and the ingredients used in their drinks show they want to succeed and they really care for their customers. A female staff member said I could, so I ordered at the counter and asked her what drinks could be made caffeine-free. She very kindly told me that if I let her know which drink I wanted, she would make it without caffeine for me. The female staff who took my order was incredibly friendly. I ordered the Mango Coconut Boom, and it was great that they had a display board showing which order numbers were currently being made while I waited. After waiting for about 5 to 8 minutes, my drink came out, and it was really delicious. It wasn't too sweet and was very refreshing. (I actually try to avoid drinking sugary drinks because of my teeth. Ever since spending a fortune at the dentist a few years ago, I've been taking extra care of my teeth. So I usually don't drink sweet beverages, but this one didn't bother my teeth at all, which made it even better.) The only downside is that this location doesn't have any tables or seating space. Still, the drink was so delicious and refreshing that I finished it in a flash, and the staff who took my order was so friendly, which was great. (Even when Starbucks gives out free drinks sometimes with my reward points, I never order a Venti because I think it's a waste to order a large size just because it's free if I can't even finish it. So I just ordered a regular size yesterday, but it was so good that I drank it so fast.) I heard Hey Tea is very popular lately and that a lot of people love it, so I went out of curiosity yesterday, and I am completely satisfied.

For me, they were way too tart. I tend to like my drinks sweeter, so these just weren't hitting for me at all. My girlfriend, on the other hand, loved them. So I don't necessarily think the drinks were bad. If you like fruit-forward drinks that are more tart and less sweet, this might actually be exactly what you want. It just wasn't what I personally like. The branding and presentation are cute, and I understand the appeal. I just wouldn't come back specifically for the drinks we tried.

We ordered the "happy cup milk tea" - didn't taste like there was any milk at all, just tasted like water & powdered tea. Also ordered the "honey lavander latte" - I was initially scared to try it at first 'cause it looked like it was just milk & ice. We love this place. The menu is big! I always opt for the Taro Slushy with Boba. I love how they use real Taro on top of the drink. It makes the texture even better to drink. Maria is the owner and you can tell how excited and passionate she is with this boba shop cause ever time we come, she always makes our visit real special. Cant wait to come back! This is the largest variety of drinks I have ever seen. You can come every day and drink a different drink and probably for 3 months you will drink different things. The most interesting thing is that they give the option to choose the amount of sugar from 0% 25% 50% 75% 100% this is very interesting, because even I have not seen this yet.
