This boba shop requires more improvement. Drinks review: Early grey milk tea: I originally wanted their happy cup milk tea. I thought it was their "standard" milk tea but I was informed it was chocolate infused. Earl grey milk tea is their standard milk tea. 100% sweet Salted cream cheese ($1) Lychee jelly (.50) - Didn't taste the salted cream cheese (didnt even see if there was actually any) nor the earl grey at all. It was watered down. The only thing I was able to taste was the lychee jelly. Dalgona roasted oolong latte: (my friend's opinion) 100% sweet - it tasted like water and burnt coffee. Antelope: ( my friend's opinion) 100% sweet - it's good however, it was too sweet. And it only had 10 basil seeds. Maybe we'll order 50% sweet next time. Overall review: When I walked in, they all just stared at me then continued with their own business. One of them was not wearing mask. While making the drinks, 3 of them actually made the drinks. I can tell that they were still learning how to make the drinks. One of them was flipping through the pages of recipes. Another one tried the drink with a teaspoon.. they weren't wearing gloves either. The interior looks pretty nice and trendy. It's a new local boba shop so, they are still all probably learning. We saw good reviews so we stepped in but woah.. I will say the boba pearls itself is super good. The drinks however have little to no flavor. The service was baddddd. I asked if they had a certain flavor and the worker just stared at the menu for a minute and had no response until I said it's okay nevermind. And then he made our order incorrect. Twice!! (We already waited a while for the drinks so we just left at this point). I also asked if the drinks usually run super sweet and he had to response again and said I can pick my sweetness level. This place is a cute place to come for a day date with family or spouse. I was referred here buy a close friend and I enjoyed it. Service-Maria was very friendly. She apologized to another customer ahead of us for taking too long because there was 7 adults and 7 kids in my group. But the service was fast once she had everyone's orders in. Drinks-I ordered Sierra iced tea and my wife got the avocado salted cream. I'm a fan of anytime calamansi so this was the obvious choice. Pretty dang good. I finished mine in under 5 minutes. It was super refreshing. It made me curious to try so many other items on the menu. Cleanliness- I have a pet peeve for cleanliness especially in the bathrooms. I went inside the bathroom and everything was marble tiles from the floor to the walls and EVERYTHING was sparkling clean. New boba place in Glendale! And they're a Filipino owned business which is a plus in my book. It's in the same strip as Highlight Coffee for those familiar with that cafe. In terms of parking, definitely look for street parking or park in the Chipotle/Dollar Tree parking lot at your own risk. The street parking nearby is free after 6pm on the weekends but metered parking (free after 8pm) during the week. Inside: Very cute and terrazzo-esque, if you will. There are areas to sit down inside and I also saw outlets there as well in case you plan on doing some work or study. It's bright and airy as soon as you walk in so it feels very inviting. Drinks: I ordered the Hojicha Green Milk Tea and it was very good! Unfortunately they ran out of boba but they suggested egg pudding for the drink, and it turned out really well! My sister also ordered the Minty Tamarind with lychee and that was refreshing also! They have unique drinks on their menu so definitely worth going back to to try. They're definitely up and coming, and still in the process of starting out and getting into the swing of things so be very patient with them when it comes to making drinks. Ok, so the boba is delicious. Perfect texture and perfectly sweet. I ordered Thai iced tea w boba with oat milk. I didn't particularly care for it. It didn't have that authentic brewed Thai tea taste to it and I've had thai tea with oat milk at other places before! The other thing that I don't love is that the price ended up being almost $7! And it was a much smaller drink than other boba spots that I frequent. They also dont offer any type of rewards program. If they do, i wasnt invited to sign up for it! The parking is also really bad, as are many places in Glendale. I was fortunate to find street metered parking. Final verdict, drive to Pasadena and try tea spots. Their Thai iced tea is much more authentic tasting. I just thought id try this place since i was in the area. At tea spots, the ambience is much nicer and easier to get to. read more

I've driven by this place so many times, it's located off of Glendale Ave, a very busy street and parking in that area is a mess. I found street parking perpendicular to it as I was running errands in the area and wanted to drink something refreshing that was not coffee. It's cute and quiet inside, I was the only customer that time (weekday afternoon) and the worker there was very nice and gave me some recommendations. After hemming and hawing I finally ordered Sunrise- no sugar. I think it only came in one size, it wasn't cheap but it was very tasty (and it definitely didn't need sugar as it was naturally sweet). This is not on the menu, but they make it for my son every time. They do have an ube salted type slush drink. We just opt for the unsalted one. I love the coffee milktea. I find that 50% sweetness is perfect for the slushes and milk teas. Just gives a slight sweetness and not overly sugary. They can also make it with no sweetness. We normally find parking on the side of the building. Hard to park in front because there's a bus stop right in front of the store. Last but not least, the people who work there are super helpful. Pretty small boba shop, the looks of this place can be deceiving. The inside of this shop looked really chill and they had good music playing (88rising playlist). The only parking available is metered parking, so it can be a bit difficult to find close spots to park. I ordered a lavender milk tea, as it is one of my favorite milk tea flavors. Normally, the flavor of the lavender is apparent but isn't overbearing on the entire drink. However, this lavender milk tea missed the mark completely. Something tasted really strange that left a rancid aftertaste. It was really tempting to throw away the drink. Very unlike many other lavender milk teas from other boba shops. With the difficulty of finding parking and the poor quality of drinks, I'd recommend taking your business elsewhere. read more

We placed an order on postmates and our drinks took over an hour to arrive.. keep in mind we live 5 mins away. Visited for the first time today feeling optimistic since I saw the overall great rating and got excited about the menu. My partner and I walked into the shop and there was only one person working. We were the only ones there. The decor is kinda cute I guess. We placed our order for a lavender milk tea 100% sweet with basil seeds, the cucumber lime + mint 50% sweet (big mistake) with basil seeds, and a large calamansi slush 100% sweet with mango star jelly (which isn't star-shaped btw so I was kinda confused if that meant it was mango starfruit flavor or something else? I've had star-shaped jellies before so that's what I was expecting). A few minutes after ordering, a couple other people started showing up and in total we probably waited about 20 minutes for those three drinks. The slush came out first and was half melted by the time we got the last two drinks. The person working forgot to add the basil seeds and when I asked for them in both drinks, they acted as if it were an inconvenience that they made my drinks incorrectly and that I noticed and nicely asked to get it fixed. I asked to see the physical receipt again but they said it was already in the trash, and didn't offer to just look up my order on the register to confirm I did pay for the toppings I did not initially receive. Their mask was hanging under their nose as they were trying to keep up with orders. Overall not a super great experience with the person working during our first time there. When we left and finally got a chance to try our drinks, the fizzy drink I ordered was *actually* inedible because it was so sour and it tasted like they used flat Perrier. When I asked for 50% sweet, the employee told me it usually doesn't have much sugar but did not advise me to get 100% sweetness, which I feel like still wouldn't have been sweet enough to counteract how much lime was in the drink. I don't think they even tasted it at all before giving it to me and I would have appreciated a heads up if they knew my drink was going to taste terrible with less sugar. The calamansi slush was *very* lightly sweetened despite having 100% its normal sugar. Any less sugar and it would have tasted way too watery to be enjoyable. This was the best drink we ordered. The lavender milk tea was fine. I want to give this place a second chance because it seems like a lot of people have good great experiences. Maybe I need to come in when the owners are there to see what Happy Cup is really about because this initial visit was underwhelming. read more

I really wanted to love this place however, it just didn't fully do it for me. I got the butterscotch milk tea and minty watermelon. I have asked for 75% sugar and 100% sugar on the MW, but somehow, I think they mixed it up since my milk tea was SOOO sweet and the watermelon was not. I ordered Roasted Oolong tea with boba and pudding. The boba is chewy and not too sweet. Pudding has a good texture, tastes meh. My order tasted like there's no tea in it. The staff tried their roasted oolong and agreed that the tea is extremely watered down. They offered to brew a new one which was cool. But then informed me they are out of boba for the day (?) - come on, I went at around 1730. They gave me a refund. There were 3 staff that day. The guy who handles the cashier was very helpful. I couldn't say the same for the 2 women he works with. They looked so lost. I really hope this place improves. Good decor though. read more

I had the Hesperia at 50% sweetness and it was perfect for me. I'm happy my drink was more naturally sweet rather than "syrupy"sweet...if that makes sense. I loved the jellies at the bottom too! I work nearby so I will definitely be stopping by on my breaks....The shop is bright, simple and colorful. There are tables and chairs for you to sit and enjoy. Great, friendly service too.
