This place is so Expensive. They wanted to charge me $55.00 to hem a dress and I had to leave a deposit. So I went else where I only paid $30 and didn't have to leave deposit. But I can say the staff is nice. read more

Will scheme and overcharge you for basic alterations. And not do a great job with the actual alterations on top of that. I brought in a skirt to have the waist taken in and a pair of jeans to have the waist taken in and the bottom hemmed. They charged me $28 per waist and $20 for the basic hem, which was significantly over the prices they had listed above the counter for the services. I only noticed they upcharged me as much as $10+ per service when I went to pick up my items, since I took the prices they charged at face value even though I thought they were quite high for the jobs, one of which was bringing in a waist only 1 inch. On top of that, the waist of the skirt was brought in 4 inches down (vertical seams), which made it not fit me since the seams were so long and tight. The pants were also poorly done and are still too big on me since the waist was not measured properly. The seamstress opted to not mark the spot when I tried them on but to just alter them based on the spot on the skirt she marked. Overall, A LOT of money for basic tailoring and unfortunately a waste of it, too. read more

I made the mistake of ironing a wool suit jacket with a dirty iron, which warped the fabric and nearly ruined the jacket. I took it to one dry cleaner, who was unable to do anything. I thought I'd try again with Happy Cleaners. They were upfront about the (very reasonable!) cost as well as the likelihood of fully repairing my jacket. Needless to say, though they weren't able to totally undo the damage, they improved it significantly (and also gave a satisfactory explanation as to why more couldn't be done). I called yesterday for pick up and requested next day service. I was told that my laundry would be returned today between 1 and 3 and that someone would call me in the morning for payment and I could pay by credit card or cash. No one called and between 2 and 3 I called and they took my card for payment. $40 for laundry that costs around half of that when I drop it off for service at another laundromat. They apologized and said they were very busy and asked if they could deliver it between 4 and 6. I agreed. At 6 still no laundry. I called and was told they would call me back in a few minutes and would call the driver. After 20 minutes I had to call back again because no one called me back. At that time I was told that the driver was lost and they can bring it to me on Monday morning. I said absolutely not, I want my laundry today. And if you have a cell phone you can't get lost, this is 2023 and you are in Brooklyn not the middle of the country. I was told again they would call the driver and I still haven't heard back. This is terrible service. I will never use them again. Just called again and now they are closed until Monday. read more

I'm switching laundry places because I'm allergic to the detergent they use (and as far as I know they don't offer fragrance-free/hypoallergenic options?), but I'll be sad to go because the location is convenient and the service is great! I brought in a denim jacket that is many years old and had a huge hole in one shoulder plus holes in both cuffs. I asked Linda to patch those, reinforce the other shoulder, and dry clean the jacket as it was not in great shape. The whole thing, repairs and dry cleaning, came to about $50. I agree with some of the other reviews, your clothes WILL come back funky if you use their detergent. I made that mistake. Tip: Separate the whites, colors, and blacks in different bags. I also leave my bleach, dryer sheets, and Tide with my clothes. I love whatever makes my life easier and this service does just that. And its cheap. Terrible. If you want your clothes intact and relatively "clean", it would be better not to wash them at all than to take them to "Happy" Cleaners. Having a broken foot, I requested pick-up/delivery only to be forgotten. The woman working was very kind but definitely gave an air of "my mind's on everything but providing a service to you". At this point, I was already having doubts, but my friend carried my laundry there since pick-up no longer seemed an option. The laundry was delivered: Literally everything had become pink. Literally. Every.thing. I paid $21.50 as a donation to Happy Cleaners and, then, tossed my now pink organic pillowcases and clothes into the bin. Not so "happy". read more

Been coming here for several months and have never had a real reason to complain. The lady at the front counter most days is cheerful and often remembers which bag is mine which is sweet. Fine prices. My only wish is that the delivery system was more organized.
