I am sad to write this review. I have been a customer of Happiness Nails and Spa for a little over a year. For the most part I have been happy. Lately, after having my nails done the last 2-3 times, I noticed my cuticles seemed to peel more, and the polish didn't last as well. I am a regular manicure person, no gels or acrylics. Usually my manicure will last about a week and a half, and I'm okay with that. However, I felt they always pushed gel nails. I don't like the process of taking them off, by peeling and also the roughing up of my perfectly nice nails to make the gel stick. At any rate, we would have this discussion, and I maintained my routine. The last straw came when I recommend my daughter visit the shop to care for her nails. Her nails were her own on 7, and 3 acrylic, all approximately a quarter to a third of an inch past her tips. My daughter cares for her nails very well, and is very particular about their care. As her manicure began, my daughter instructed the nail tech to soak off her gels, to prevent any damage from prying them off. The nail tech began to argue with her stating all her nails were acrylic, and needed to be pried off. My daughter showed the tech which were gels and which were acrylic. At either rate, she wanted them all soaked off. The tech continue to argue with her, at one point stating "I do nails, and these are acrylic" and commenced to pry them off. In the process her nails begin to break, and the tech then says, "oh these are gels". By this point, the damage has been done. Unfortunately, her nails had to be cut down to barely past her tips. She had also instructed the tech she didn't want her nails filed, but lightly buffed with the sponge buffer for smoothness. Even with gel reapplied to her nails, they were paper thin due to all the prying. The service and experience my daughter had is abhorrent! I have never seen the likes of service like this. This is the lack of customer service 101. Never an apology, or admission that they were wrong. They also didn't have the decency to offer her a discount for the poor service, and damage to her nails. She will spend months trying to get them healthy again. At the very least, she should have received a discount and an apology. If after reading this you still want to visit them, wait for the darker completion tech. She is the only one that is patient, listens, doesn't argue with you, doesn't make you feel rushed, and does a good job. I wish I would have told my daughter to wait for her. Never again, moving on. I love this place! It is so clean and the customer service is AWESOME. The gel manicure (on my natural nails) lasts forever! I kept mine polished for 5 weeks and finally gave in because they grew out so much, but zero chipping. I love their pedicures! I have messed my toes up twice (my fault totally) and go back to have them fixed and the won't let me pay for it. I had to hide a tip for the gal so she would take it. Such nice people.... The lady that did my pedi was very nice, she did a very good job. I didn't like that there weren't any postings on what cost what, it felt like they could just tell you whatever price they we're feeling at the time. I came in for a pedicure which happened to be 15% off so I got the deluxe, felt awesome!! Cleaned up my nails nicely, I have no complaint.

The staff here don't smile even when they greet you, and the atmosphere was uncomfortable and unfriendly. While I was getting my legs rubbed during my pedicure, the nail technician killed a fly with her hands and continued rubbing my legs with the same hands. They also wouldn't let me wait in their pedicure chairs while I was waiting for my mom to be done with her manicure. They told me to sit in their uncomfortable chairs up front even though they had more than 5 empty pedicure chairs. I told them I'm comfortable where I'm at, and they raised my arm rests up and told me to go sit in the front and wait. Not only are they unhygienic, but they are incredibly rude. Worst pedicure of my life. Didn't even ask me to choose a nail color when I walked in (asked me what shade I wanted and brought me three colors to choose from). Water was burning hot. Scrubbed my feet so hard it was burning and bleeding. Had to come home to put some topical antibiotics on it hoping it won't get infected in the next few days. Workers talk to each other non stop and don't pay attention to their work. Asked stupid questions and comments to sound friendly as I signed my receipt the comment she made was "looks like a 8" um, yeah. That's my signature and you're not getting a tip. DON'T COME HERE They have the worst service imaginable. I've given them many a chance before I decided to write a review. First, I go in for dipping powder nail services. They barely know what they're doing shouldn't even offer the service. Once I set an appointment for my nails to be done and they still had me wait. Then I go for soak nail removal because I'm thinking how can they mess that up. Both times I've gone they had an attitude on the fact it would 'take too long' and I should just have them RIP the acrylic tip off instead like they usually do leaving the nail looking tore up. The lady had the nerve today to actually complain to me that it would take too long. I decided then I would go somewhere else and I won't be coming back. I love Happiness Nails!! I have been getting my nails done for over 20 years now and my very first nail lady I had was so fantastic it left me very picky and particular about how they are done. I have lived all over the country and sometimes it can take me up to a year to find a nail technician, I got so lucky here finding happiness nails here as soon as I moved back to town. Stopped here after heading to Costco. I got a manicure and I did the dipping powder. The only reason I'm giving 4 stars is because they really didn't do a full manicure not even my cuticles or anything. Just basically put powder on them and shaped my nails. But I'm very satisfied with how it came out. Despite that, I plan to come back for another manicure or pedicure. They have a lot more color selections than the place I typically go to. read more

I was out of town and in dire need of a mani/pedi so my cousin recommended Happiness Nails in Clovis. We walked in and they were pretty swamped. Our wait was about 15-25 minutes before we got seated and pampered. Both ladies did a great job with the services. Here's the kicker for the 5 stars...It was not until later that night, I realized I left my white Movado Bold watch on the massage chair side table (this is what happens when you're too excited how the gel mani came out and rushed out of there). I was pretty bummed knowing that the chances were slim considering that I had to wait until the very next day (11am) to call them to see if they found it. I called the very next day just after 11am, explained that I was seated in chair 2 and left my white watch there...the lady assured me that they had it and will keep it there for safekeeping. I went for an eyebrow and lip wax, when I got there, there was a woman on her cell phone that met me at the entrance, we walked in and she directed me to the private room in the back. The ENTIRE time she was doing the waxing she was on the CELL PHONE! Also, I understand if you need to bring your 3 year old child to work with you, but come on! I absolutely love the work that they do here. The manicurist are very professional and take their time. My nails always look amazing and I constantly get compliments on them. I went in and was seated right away at seat number one for a full set of nails. A man started working on my nails right away but didn't bother to give me the nail color samples so I could start picking my color. I thought that was weird but I figured he would give me time after. Anyways I told him I wanted long coffin shape and he did that thing where they ask u for length "okay here" and I said no a little shorter and he went too short so I said no a tad bit longer n he kinda rolled his eyes moved the cutters up a bit and cut before he let me say wether that length was okay for me he just cut it which I didn't like. Then he started applying the acrylic and did the "coffin shape" but they just came out square and after he filed them down they were wayyyy to short. After that I was just like whatever I'll just pick a cute color n move on...well he told me to move to a different seat and I was looking at colors and he was literally standing there staring at me with his hand on his hip the WHOLE time I was trying to pick a color! I felt soooo uncomfortable so after like a minute I just picked a random nude color and I wound up hating it! Overall my nails were way shorter than what I asked for, NOT at all coffin shape, and I was rushed to pick a color. I've been going to this place for years. I usually have tren do my pedicure or John do my nails. They are both very friendly and do a good job. There prices are a little bit on the higher side then most salons of equal value. The service is descent but could be better but My nails and feet always look nice thats why I stay here. When people come in they rush to get done faster with you so the other person won't leave and that sucks for you cause you don't get all your money's worth for the service. read more

This was my first time coming here and I walked in with a friend for pedicures not only the employees there looked absolutely miserable, they made me feel embarrassed. I simply asked for a rhinestone on each of my big toes and somehow it turned into an ordeal. The woman who was originally doing my feet had to ask someone else to apply them and when I told her I wanted just one rhinestone in each toe she looked at the first woman and like laughed. Then during the application another guy came so now I had 3 people looking at my feet and talking about how I only want one rhinestone and laughing amongst each other almost like it's a joke and it made me so uncomfortable. Unfortunately, I downloaded the app just to write this review. That's how dissatisfied I was. After waiting for over 30 minutes, I was called up. I get it, it was Saturday, busy. I understand. I wanted a full set since I had given my nails a break for a couple months and my baby shower is coming up. It took her less than half an hour to complete my nails. They were overfilled, acrylic piled on, not filed down enough. Shape wasn't consistent, super glue on my fingers, parts not covered in polish. First time I have ever been so unhappy with my nails. I get that it was super busy, but that's not a reason to slack on service, especially when spending a lot of money. I ended up having to go to another place to have them fix my nails since I didn't trust them to do it. I will never go here again. First time and last time. You would think that they would want to do a good job, especially when one will be celebrating a life coming into the world. So disappointing. read more

This was my first time at this salon and first time getting a dip powder manicure. The dip powder manicure only consists of nail shaping and then the dip powder color and re-shaping. It does not include cuticle clean up or anything manicures normally include. I was okay with this because I really just need my nails done, not my cuticles. I had Googled "dip powder nails" and read sanitation can be very poor with them in a lot of salons. I don't think it's the most sanitary here. The nail tech did pour the powder into a separate glass to dip my nails into, but when he was done he poured the leftover powder back into the main container and then wiped the glass he used for my nails with a paper towel and put it back into the cabinet. Might seem sanitary if you're not paying attention but it's not. But I'm giving 4 stars anyway because my nails turned out great and lasted over 4 weeks. I have minor chips now but they're not even worsening. I got a regular pedicure as well and it wasn't great but it was okay, got the job done, and it's not like anyone's gonna look at my toenails up close. Prices seemed reasonable - I believe the dip powder manicure was $30 or $35 which was worth it to me. read more
