I did a walk in today and Tammy took me in quicky. I asked for a shade of matte dark brown like espresso brown, and short almond shape with gold chrome. I picked the shade 116 and the color is so so much lighter than the sample. This shade is so much more neutral nude than the sample color. Even though the color came out what I was not expecting, it still came out really cute. So i kept it the way it is. Tammy did a great job on my nails. She is a speeder and knows what is she doing. She carefully files, took care of my cuticles, very gentle, and make sure everything came out perfectly. She is a busy lady but can also keep her client entertain too. I love the way how she does my nails. Its not so puffy like a bunch of powder on my nails. It looks so natural and flat like normal nails. She also warns me about the chrome on the tip, that it may chip off easily due. I still go with it. This set is at $75. I love the vibe, the ambiance and their art! Thanks TB Nails. read more

My experience with TB Nail Spa was okay, and then ended up negative. I was hesitant to make this review because I think the nail tech worked hard, but I ended up dissatisfied with both services I received- considering one affected the integrity of my nails I came here for my birthday nails, and was already aware my inspiration could be turned down since it is a complicated, heavily detailed style. When I showed the first nail tech the inspo pic, she told me it wasn't something she felt comfortable doing- which was totally fine since I had other nail ideas with simple art as back up. However, another tech said she could do it and let me know it wouldn't look the exact same. I think this should've been my sign to do a different set, but since it was for a special occasion + she was confident, I thought it was going to be alright. But there was two things I ended up not liking which were the length and the design itself. When it came to the length, she only asked me if my pinky was good before cutting all the other nails, and they all ended up too short for my preference. And with filing, the nails ended up even shorter. Then with the design itself, I think I initially gave a lot of grace and complimented her since it was so time consuming and detailed. But I ended up not being happy with the finished product sadly, even though I really wanted to feel genuine about it. The colors used and the art were completely different. I regret not speaking up but it felt pointless since she looked proud of her work and my own birthday celebration was in three days. Something I did appreciate was the acrylic base application, which was she was very attentive to and she spent a good amount of time making sure everything was even and not bulky. For transparency, I paid $110 What turned my experience into a bad one was when I came in few weeks later for a soak off, completed by a different nail tech. It was a quick service, but within that amount of time my nail health was honestly not cared for. I have a high pain tolerance and thought maybe the discomfort was only from heat spikes. However, after going home and really looking at my nails I realized all of them were severely raw and had rings of fire. It's been a few weeks and my nails are still splitting, breaking, and aching from where they were filed basically down to my skin To summarize: their skills are good, but it's fine to decline harder designs that cannot be similar to the original. I'll have to be blunt and say I wouldn't come here again after what one soak off did to my nails. I'm still healing and having constant pain and sensitivity in your fingers, for a month and a half, is an awful way to remember a nail spa read more

Excellent experience. They took me and my 3 daughters last minute towards end of the day and did an outstanding job on our nails. The owner does excellent artwork. I don't remember her name but she's great! My 13 yr old wanted fancy nails for her bday and showed the owner a pic of the nails she wanted. Owner did such a good job, you can't tell a difference between the pic and my daughter's nails. Outstanding job. My daughter gets compliments every single day. First time I came here the lady took almost 2 hour for my deep cleanse pedicure. It was ok Second time the lady went to deep and cut me Mind you my nail was not straight Third and last time I come here was a Sunday morning was seen right away but service was poor. I chose the service which stated 10min foot massage but only lasted 5min about 2 min on each foot. Same lady made my nail not straight. My advice don't go here on a weekend better chances in the am if your desperate. About 3 other chairs waiting for a pedicure which prolly led to my massage being taken away. I walked in on a Monday afternoon without an appointment and was able to be seen right away. I asked for Gel-X nails and showed a design to Hannah that I liked. She said she could do it, and she did an amazing job! She paid close attention to detail and made sure they looked great. I was so pleased to get my nails done, and I plan for keep coming back. So far, I've had these nails for about a month. Only one thumb nail popped off, but the rest are going strong with no lifting. I went in for a pedicure and I was helped right away and the nail tech was so kind. My toes looked so pretty after too!

Went in for a gel x manicure and a pedicure. The woman doing my nails was late, so another woman started doing my nails with dirty tools. You could literally see the nail dust all over the tools and inside the little bin she had them in. Then when my actual tech got there, she was rushing doing my nails so much that she wasn't properly applying different things onto my nails such as the dehydrator and the glue for my gel x tips! The next day I noticed a bunch of gaps in between my actual nail and the gel x, which is really bad for water and dirt getting trapped under. For my pedicure, it was the same thing. She added tips to my big toes but next day, I noticed those tips were also lifting from my natural nails. I had to remove them myself to try to avoid water getting in or some type of fungal infection. This was my first and last time coming to this nail salon. read more

The salon I was trying to go to was closed for Labor Day so I began calling around. TB answered and said they weren't busy and could get me in. This nail salon is unassuming and hidden on Blackstone and Herndon. Just past Imperial garden parking lot. The place is a bit run down and old looking, could definitely use a refresh. But the seats were comfy and I enjoyed the massage. The people were very welcoming and friendly. I like their vast pedicure menu- I went with gel delux today but I'm interested in trying the jelly pedi and volcano pedi soon. The gal doing my toes did a good job and I enjoyed the hot stone massage very much. Not many nail salons offer that. They take credit card and debit card. You can tip with CC but they prefer cash tip. An atm machine is located in the salon. Per the sign, Apple Pay, cash app and Zelle are other payment options. read more

Never Have I Ever: Had a service so bad.... I have rheumatoid arthritis so have ton of pain and swelling in hands and wrists so wanted to treat myself.... I have gone to TB nails about 6-8 times a year for 2 years now and never have I experienced something so awful but I won't return.... I wanted a manicure for the massage, hot towels, and hot stone massages included but also always get a full set. This time decided to do Dipped Nails with Tips. Spoke with who I assume is an owner or manager upon arrival was quoted was followed: $115 Total service Deluxe manicure for $50 Dip nails w/ tips small designs (one per hand) $65 Issues In order of occurrence: -Dirty towel for manicure it had clumps of acrylic on it, nail polish stains, pieces of nail tips, and clipped fingernails.... -Station 3 was dirty covered in nail dust and nail clippings. - male technician assigned to my manicure began without talking or saying a word to me at all. Very awkward - First red flag came when he pulled a disposable spoon from a drawer to apply the sugar scrub, which initially looked hygienic to ensure he wasn't putting his hands repeatedly in the scrub however, he then placed that spoon inside the bowl of water of my hands was soaking in, then took it out, later to use in the 2 different lotions... so 3 contaminated containers. Each time he used it he also wiped it on the dabbed dirty towel -The tools taken out to clean my cuticles, looked clean however, after doing my nails he began to put them in drawer then paused took them out, he reached over grabbed a bottle labeled alcohol sprayed It, then wiped it on the dirty towel again, and then proceeded to put them in the drawer while my hands later one 3 occasions he took those tools out and started to clip off the dead skin and worse the black scab on his left hand and then put them back in the drawer -Then moved to another technician who would be doing the dip and design. He was not friendly would grumble responses to my pleasantries. As he shaped I noticed the lengths were inconsistent and was rudely told he would fix it later. -another woman technician who was restocking the hot towels she got the towels wet brought them over to a dirty station,l right next to me laid them out and proceeded to go back-and-forth between wiping her nose because she had the sniffles on her hand and her arm , and folding these towels into rolls to place in the steamer - she then proceeds to go get a can of knock off Febreze. She opens the steamer sprays all of the towels inside with Febreze, which is not safe for skin and then closes it then open the other door of the steamer against spray all of those towels as well. (when someone gets an allergic reaction, please know it's the Febreze that's on your skin) -I noticed that on one of my fingers there was a dark black spot. I asked him about it. He said it was in the powder and I pointed out that it wasn't on any other nail he said its not supposed to be there but is under the powder when asked if he could fix it. While making rude glances at me he uses the grinding tool to remove some redips it and still does not get rid of the dot but did make it less noticeable. He goes "fine there now" and at that point gave up trying to get a good set of nails I have been going to the salon for about a year pretty inconsistently. I have had my nails done by a few individuals and while I've not always been 100% pleased with the design coming out nicely and the shape being consistent I have never let without being overall satisfied with the service. I'm just still very disappointed. I relayed this to the I believe manager/owner. I said that I was very unhappy with the services and then she looks at my nails she goes, but they look pretty and I tried to explain that it wasn't that they didn't come out Okay it's that the stations were dirty, staff was rude, it was unhygienic how one used tools on himself without cleaning them, one was spraying febrezze on the hot towels....she just kind of looked behind her when started speaking to the employees in another language she did not sound upset about the situation seemed to keep a normal deemer when speaking to them. She did not address any of the concerns I posed with me, she took my card charged me the amount that was discussed when I arrived and I let her know that I am very unhappy and will not be returning. She's kind of like shrugged her shoulders like all right. If you're going to go to the salon, all I have to say is keep an eye out for if the tools are clean, or if they're being cleaned after you... and if you have any skin reactions be aware I doubt Febreze on the hot towels is the only unsafe thing that your exposed to... I wish I would of taken photo before cleaning up the nails a but in the car. read more

Made an appointment. Salon called me thirty minutes before my appointment to confirm I was coming in and I responded yes on my way. I arrived five (5) minutes before my appointment and was told I had to wait because some else had WALKED in and they started on her! I was unhappy to say the least. This is how they treat regular customer who tips well! Please note: I made the appointment to get my nails done FIRST at 10:00am. I then asked if Alice is available at that same time to get a pedicure. I had another appointment and could not be late and could schedule another day if Alice (pedicure) wasn't available. Excellent service. My nails were filed too thin from my regular salon and I had gone to Zumba and my toenails broke (3+ nails on one foot). The excellent pedicurist was so gentle, kind and did an excellent and thorough job. He worked with me and made sure I was not in pain while dealing with my very fragile nails. I came to do a fill 11 days ago and two nails completly fell off by the 10th day! I called to see if they could fix them but instead the lady whom I think is the owner told me that I had to pay for the fix because she said "by the second week you need to do a refill already" which a fill has absolutely nothing to do with your nails completely falling off if properly done. I didn't want to argue so I still went in and paid, and even got my eyebrows done. The lady gave me MAJOR attitude because I asked her about the price of my eyebrows. Telling "oh my godddd" with frustration . Completely unprofessional for no reason I have been coming here for years. I haven't had an issue till now. I had seen major details with lack of cleaning of the utensils, but for some reason, I still kept coming back. I don't know if the lady just had a really bad day or what was the reason for her giving me attitude, but I am not coming here again. She was completely unpleasant. read more

$75 basic French tip with chrome powder ( 3 days nails ) I don't think this design was very difficult but I feel the guy that did my nails was rushing it and didn't really care to pay attention the cuticles. My sister got her nails too and hers look so much better her cuticles weren't drowning in the nail polish. read more
