If you are looking at this review on Yelp, wondering if you should try this place out - the answer is a resounding YES! Stop thinking and just go, you won't regret it! My family and I stayed in the area for a few days and of all the food we ate during our trip, this was one of our favorite. My mouth is watering just thinking about the medley of fries, steak, chicken with their heavenly sauces drizzled over the top. If I recall correctly it was around $20 for the Double Shaka Fries, which is extremely reasonable given the sheer quantity and quality of food you get - particularly in this location. If you do get the double Shaka Fries like I did, you'll be full when you are about halfway through. You're not going to stop though because it tastes too spectacular. My wife was also impressed by her order of teriyaki chicken. If I lived in the area, I would visit this establishment on a regular basis. read more

This place is not worth your time or money... I ordered the tri-tip bowl. The tri-tip was dry the jasmine rice looked like medium grain, American rice. It did not taste good. It was not worth the money. My boyfriend got a cheeseburger and he said it was delicious. He also got the fries that have tri-tip and chicken. The chicken was dry and burnt. The fries were cold. read more

We tried the shaved ice, Double Shaka loaded fries and musubi. Spiritual!! So good. Service was quick and friendly. We got ours to go and ate on the beach at sunset. read more

This former surf shop annexed to the PB Shore Club has been converted into a Hawaiian-inspired food shack. It's literally steps from the beach which also means nearby parking is non-existent as the spaces get filled up early. A canopy was set up next to the structure with some tables underneath for on-site dining. The fast-casual menu consisted of smashburgers, fries, teriyaki bowls, and shave ice. My hope was that more island fare was going to be featured (e.g. garlic shrimp, musubi, poke, etc). I selected a teriyaki bowl with tri-tip as a protein. A base of jasmine white rice was served with the meat along with broccoli, carrots, and onions. Teriyaki sauce, kook sauce, and kimchi seasoning provided flavoring while green onions and toasted sesame seeds topped off the bowl. I think one sauce would have been sufficient as too much was doused on the mixture. The tri-tip was chewy and not as tender as it could have been. I didn't try the shave ice, but it's a good dessert option along the PB boardwalk which already has many spots for ice cream. Going forward, I would like to see other Hawaiian grub on the menu. For this haole, I gave my experience at Haole Shack a three star rating. read more

Surprisingly good for a little shack by the bars! This place will be great in summer when you need a bite to eat while at the beach. Burger was fantastic and teriyaki bowl was decent. The young woman taking our order was super friendly. Will definitely go back! read more

Super convenient location close to the beach and very friendly cashier/cook! I got a double patty burger, loved it. It was around $15 but I think that is typical for the area. Overall had a great experience trying out Haole Shack for lunch. Will have to come back and try another dish. read more

This place is such a hole in the wall! I wanted to try the vegetarian poke but ran out of time on my trip. I got the small bag of fries and they were perfectly crispy. For five dollars this is such a good deal read more

Came here to check the opening hour because I'm craving their burger already. Ordered one last week, late night through the bar upstairs and it was life changing. Want to try the onion rings and fries soon too. read more

Before I review the food, want to talk about how amazing the staff is at this place. The lady and younger gentlemen who worked on 6/22/25 completely turned our entire day around with how amazing their friendliness and service was. We're a family of 4, with two kids, and they helped us with every crazy thing that comes with having kids like getting a single burger patty without the buns, providing fries without seasoning, helping with a shaved ice into two small cups, providing extra plates, providing extra napkins etc. If you're a parent YOU KNOW how these little things can change your meal around completely and for us, it turned this random shack into our absolutely favorite place, all because of these two employees. Seriously can't praise them enough. Regarding the food, that doesn't even require hype, it's so delicious. The smash burgers, amazing. The teriyaki bowls, absolutely delicious with a ton of flavor and healthy. The shaved ice, takes you right back to Hawaii. Ambiance, right on the water. You really can't beat this place. It's our official meal stop in PB, thanks to the employees and the food being delicious! Hope the manager of this place sees this some day and finds out which employees I'm talking about. Mahalo! read more

The young woman working refused to stop "stocking" to make a two flavor shave ice. Instead, she made us wait over ten minutes. She was rude AF. I guess this cute place can get away with rude workers during the summer months. Too bad. I really wanted to like this place. Giving two stars because the shave ice was good. But, really, it's ice and sugar water. Nothing fancy! read more

Pretty good burger and fry's. Alex hooked us up. Thank you. The shaved ice was really good too.

the spam musubi will change your life i promise you. i can't believe there isn't a review about it yet. the outside is fried in a thin layer of breadcrumbs, and topped with this heavenly sauce that tastes to be a sort of blend of mayo and thousand islands. the furikake seasoning sprinkled on top really brings it all together. the seaweed wasn't soggy either. a perfect but filling quick bite. i miss it already. also their smash burgers are pretty good but don't even hold a candle to these gifts from heaven. read more

So, I'm visiting town for a work conference and get the munchies later at night. I start looking for places to eat and come across Haole Shack. I think, ehhh... let me try this place. I was tired and moving a little slow since it was past my bedtime, so it took me a moment to find it. But when I did, it was a pleasant experience! The owner was so nice, sweet, and very friendly! You could tell she genuinely cared about her customers. I asked for a military discount, and she kindly gave one. And the food? It was excellent! I definitely recommend supporting this business! read more

Ordered some food here for the first time. Tried the Big Haole and the Beef/Chicken Bowl. Both were phenomenal. There was confusion with DoorDash which I don't think was any of the restaurants fault. I called to express my concern over the order and Jadon answered. They were incredibly polite and helpful with resolving my concern. They showed that this restaurant cares about its customers and I cannot wait to come back here again to eat some more delicious food! Thanks again Jadon! read more

Stopped by here to grab a bite while in the area. We ordered the Big Haole and an order of Double Shaka Fries. The burger is a triple smash burger that was good, but slightly under seasoned. With that much meat, a little more seasoning on the patties goes a long way. I make the same mistake when I make smash burgers sometimes. The fries however were excellent. The radio of Fries to toppings and sauce was a perfect balance. The price is also good considering the proximity to the scenery. Will be going back again soon. read more

Convenient and cute little spot with.a clean little table area. Randomly saw it while walking the Boardwalk. Kind and friendly service we shared the bowl with chix/filet combined. So great and loved every bite of it - the rice and veggies with the protein were fantastic. Would recommend and will be going back! Super cute walk up spot right by the pier. We got the teriyaki chicken bowl and the double Shaka fries. They were both AMAZING! Meat was delicious and loved the kook sauce. The fries were way bigger than we thought; that alone probably would've fed the two of us. Still glad we got the bowl too because it was so good, but just was a lot for 2 people. Would love to come back to try their shave ice!! Service was solid, they were nice and food came out in ~10 mins read more

Came by here and shared three items with some friends. The two piece burger, good smashed burger. Shared the double Shaka fries which has chicken and tri-tip and was so good. The meats were cooked to perfection. My friend got the teriyaki bowl with both chicken and tri tip and that was really good also. Super easy to have a spot right at the beach for a quick pick up or sit down for food. read more

I was excited to have shave ice but it was a snow cone for sure. The ice was chunky on half the bottom. Very disappointed.

This place have a good burger but we came here this Sunday and unfortunately, while the food was good, the overall experience was really disappointing. I placed my order at 9:00pm, and by 9:15pm when my friends arrived, they were told the kitchen was closed because there was no more food. Honestly, I don't know who is managing this place, but please make sure there's enough food available and that your staff stops lying just because they want to close early. You can't even imagine how many people were still interested in ordering. Just to say. read more

Haven't even got my food, but I've been waiting for a get and go place (I'm assuming since there isn't even a single table for 15 minutes). If you're looking for pick up food there are plenty of other places, don't bother for somewhere you can't even sit to eat. read more
