Not the best pic, as I had already taken a bite out of this baby, but it was delicious!

This is a definite hit with burgers n fries! The meat was seasoned and cooked to perfection and the fries were standard, but served hot n crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. They burger came with plenty of vegetables if you like that as well. It was a small place but had indoor and outdoor seating. The service was good as the guys that served us were all very pleasant. If you like a good burger, ya gotta try Rocky's!

Visiting from out of town and came here for lunch because of a friend's recommendation. Burger and fries were extremely fresh! Service was solid. The vibe cool. They offer merch you can buy. Seems like a neighborhood staple!

Dive bar. No frills. Two sizes of burgers / cheeseburgers. Decently crowded on a Friday night but was able to walk in and find an open seat no problem. Burger is a legendary bar burger. Crisp outer crust on the patty. Bun is soft but crumbly. Cheese super melty on top. No need for sauce, just enjoy the beef. Fries are nice and crisp. Good selection of beers, no complaints.

Super simple food menu with only hamburgers, cheeseburgers, and fries. My husband raved about the burgers and let me tell you they did not disappoint! The burgers come with mayo, tomato, pickles, lettuce, and onion on them. My cheeseburger was SO good! It was cooked perfectly (not dry at all) and was juicy. The fries were really good too and you get A LOT of them. We shared the fries which I would recommend. The order of fries and two cheeseburgers were plenty for us. We couldn't even eat all of our fries there was so many. Service was great and fast. We got to eat outside which was really nice. There's also seating inside by the bar and some tables too. We walked through the inside to get to the outdoor seating and it was really busy! I can see why this is a popular place. You have to be 21+ to go to Rocky's so there were no kids there. Very impressed with Rocky's. I will be base for another cheeseburger and fries for sure!

Rocky's is an institution and has been around forever. They are a classic dive bar and their burgers are one of the best in town for sure. You're not going to find a lot of variety on the menu but that's how you know they do their one thing right. **They even take credit cards now after years and years of being cash only.

My buddy Phil kept telling me to go here for one of the best burgers ever. Small but very well thought out selection of beers, wine if you want it. But a burger fries and brew...heaven. Great service in a place crowded and limited space with people clamoring for a seat and table.

A staple in PB. Some of the best burgers I've tried in San Diego and I love the great service in there. Cash only so make sure you have your bills.

As I return to Rocky's in Crown Point, I can officially say this place is amazing. I must have just caught it on an off day two years ago, because I was definitely wrong back then. Rocky's is pure fun, with the vibes of a beachy bar and the best burgers in San Diego. The staff keeps the laughs coming, the beers never stop flowing, and the burgers are straight fire. Whether you're here for burgers, brews, or to catch the game, this spot is a must-stop. .

This corner pub in the Crown Point area of PB has been frequently mentioned as having one of the best burgers in the SD area. It's a first come, first serve operation in which all of the seating at the bar and high-top tables were open. There was no onsite parking lot, and you may have to circle around the nearby side streets multiple times to find a curbside space. A small chalkboard menu hung to the left of the kitchen entrance in the back of the establishment. Hamburgers and cheeseburgers were available in either a 1/3 lb or a 1/2 lb patty along with french fries, that was it. Between 11 am and 2 pm on Monday to Friday, there was a lunch special for $19.50 that included a 1/3 lb cheeseburger, fries, and a soda or pint of beer. It was a good deal if you selected beer as the beverage. I went with a 1/3 lb cheeseburger with french fries. In hindsight, I should have ordered a 1/2 lb cheeseburger without the fries which were hot and crispy but not worth the price for the amount given. The burger was assembled nicely on a sesame seed bun. The meat was juicy, but again a larger patty size would have suited me better as I was quite hungry. It took close to 30 minutes before my food was ready due to the heavy volume of orders. Rocky's Crown Pub serves a solid burger, but I would hesitate to call it the best in town.

You know when like lines form out the door and people are waiting to enter? I feel like Rockys should be one of those places. In order to control the crowds that are sitting and the noise. You know? I suppose you would need a better ordering system. Rockys food is great. Good solid burger. However, something about it seems outdated/out of touch... I love that their grinding and working hard... At the same time is not the most fun to have a server, serving burgers who looks angry. Like straight up mad. I don't know makes me think twice about visiting. It's on the outskirts of PB not Garnet I would think the vibes would be a bit more chill. It'd been more than 5 years since I'd been there possible more then 6. Definitely not dying to go back. The vibe is thick, dense, hefty. Too Mayan M.C. (the TV show) with young 30 year olds accompanied by their parents and or grandmas. Like what kind of vibe is that? High five on the food. Boo on everything else. -Elder Millennial

Nothing beats a good old fashioned classic burger big enough to stuff you up, crispy fries to snack on and some local beers on tap and bottle to round out your meal. A watering hole for San Diegans and visitors, Rocky's Crown Pub is an intimate spot to grab a stool, order a half or third pound burger, a basket of fries, and a pint or bottle of a beer of your choice and be surrounded by many folks doing the same. The pub area isn't too spacious but they do have outdoor patio space for additional seating, although they fill up quick as well (oftentimes just as crowded as the interior). Either way, the staff will look out for you and be at the ready to take your order and get you satiated. The menu is simple and not known for its flair so you should be able to decide quickly what you may be craving for. The beers may be a bit more nuanced but ask the staff and they may be able to recommend something based on your preferred taste. The burgers are juicy, flavorful, and come out hot and loaded for immediate consumption. A good mix of veggies (tomato slice, lettuce, red onions) will balance out the hefty slab of meat between fluffy sesame buns that soak up the juices well. With melty cheese to bring it all together, you'll get a classic taste of burger with each bite. The fries are crispy and come out in a pretty generous shareable basket. Pair with ketchup or not (since they're already lightly salted) and have a nice change up to your juicy burger. Parking can be rough as its street parking only but if you're willing to walk, it's not so bad. It is close to the airport so if you're just coming off the plane or on your way to one, this is a nice pit stop! Overall, Rocky's does one thing well and that's making a hearty burger with just the necessary ingredients. You're going to get a no frills, no additional additives, and complete burger for a reasonable price at a casual establishment where you'll be able to enjoy a pint or two with a portion of crispy fries. If you're looking for a traditional burger done right, Rocky's is your jam and the Crown Pub can be your new crown jewel to satisfy that burger craving.

When you only have a burger on the menu, you gotta come through. Damn did this come through! This might have been one of the best burgers I've had in my life. Theres something about the simplicity in their burger that takes it to the next level. That first bite just reminds you of the homemade burgers you had growing up. Every bite packed a lot of flavor and when you're done, you wish you had more. Come for the burger, stay for a good time. Great burgers, refreshing beer, and TVs to keep you entertained.

Today was my first time having Rocky's crown pub, and it was excellent! I live down the street, born and raised in Ocean Beach, I can't believe I have never had a hamburger from Rocky's. My cousin who lives in PB, is in the hospital trying to get stronger, said that's the only food he wants, a hamburger from Rocky's. He said it's the best and I agree! I arrived 15 minutes before they opened, there was 15 people in line ready to enjoy the cozy atmosphere, indoor and outdoors with welcoming staff. I was greeted right away, sat down on a bar stool. Sergio helped me with my to go order, as I watched the Olympics with everyone. Thank you Sergio! It felt like family at Rocky's, a community where you can go relax at the bar, know everyone and have amazing hamburgers with french fries. Everyone seemed to be enjoying a pint of beer too, but I was going to the hospital. Definitely will go back again.

This spot just gets it…read more I came through recently and was honestly excited before I even ordered food because they had a solid selection of NA mocktails. For a bar, that's not always a given, and as someone who doesn't drink as much these days, that immediately stood out to me. I grabbed a lavender leprechaun and it was super refreshing, light, and just a really nice change of pace from the usual soda-or-water options. It didn't feel like an afterthought, it actually felt intentional. For food, I went with the corned beef sandwich and it did not disappoint. Hearty, flavorful, and exactly what you'd want from a proper Irish pub. The whole place has that classic pub vibe but still feels welcoming whether you're drinking or not. That balance is rare, and I really appreciated it. Definitely a spot I'd come back to, especially knowing I've got solid non-alcoholic options to enjoy.

Stopped by The Field Irish Pub in downtown San Diego for a Guinness and a bite on St Patrick's Day,…read moreso as expected, it was absolutely packed. Despite the crowds, service was impressively fast. We grabbed seats at the bar and were taken care of right away, which was a pleasant surprise given how busy it was. Food-wise, the fish and chips were good, but not amazing--solid, but nothing to rave about. The sausage rolls, unfortunately, were a bit underwhelming for me. I was hoping for a crispier, flakier pastry, but they fell a little short in texture. One thing I really miss is the live music they used to have before Covid. It added so much to the atmosphere, and I'd love to see them bring that back. Outside of big events like St. Patrick's Day, the place can feel a bit quiet, so the music would definitely elevate the overall vibe. Overall, still a great spot for a pint and good service--especially impressive during peak crowds--but there's definitely room to bring back some of that old charm.

I hate leaving questionable reviews.. but also feel when we researched places we didn't get an accurate story. This is a true neighborhood pub.. the place you come so everybody knows your name. Which I love and can appreciate. But as an outsider it was kinda chaotic instead. A bartender came to clean a table for us. The largest grossest bugger hanging out of his nose, he had sweat marks so large there was no need to lift his arms to see them. He proceeded then to do shots at the bar with costumers. Which again... I totally can appreciate having a good time in a good neighborhood pub. The floors were so dirty around the booths. The menus dirty. Just over all couldn't stay and eat here. Did get some good laughs watching a few very inebriated customers, had some good drinks and went on our way. We personally wouldn't come back, but again if you live in the neighborhood and it's just that place you come to for your hang with friends, it's looks like it's a fun place.
