After having gotten quotes and design ideas from a few…read moredifferent pool contractors and construction outfits, we were left feeling as if our dream would never be fully realized. None of the mockups we were shown looked aesthetically-pleasing or felt like they were "us." All that changed when we contacted Swink's Creations. From the moment we met Mark, he seemed to understand what we were after, taking into consideration our needs (handicap-accessible) and specific desires (baja shelf, water feature, free-form pool shape). Chris helped us choose tile, rock and concrete that would best compliment our existing backyard and porch, and Blaise was instrumental in making sure everything was to our specifications, from the placement of handrails to depth of the shelf, and bringing things to code in terms of updating gates and fences. Cesar was our point of contact throughout the process, and he kept us updated every step of the way, so we never had to wonder where we were at in the project. Any questions we had were answered promptly. The team operated quickly and efficiently, and cleaned up after each day's work was completed. They treated our property like it was their own. Angel, Renee, Angela and everyone in the Swink's office were professional and welcoming, and we really felt taken care of. The project was started in mid-August and we were enjoying our gorgeous hot tub, pool and fire pit by Veteran's Day; at least a month ahead of schedule! We just cannot recommend Swink's Creations highly enough. Their prices are somewhat higher than most of their competitors, but the care with which they work and custom beauty they bring to their projects is worth the cost.

But swinks responsiveness and professionalism gave them the edge. They worked with me and my limited budget. If I had the ability I would have them do a heck of a lot more work around the house, they are that good. Thanks to Carl and the team at swinks for everything. What lead me to Swinks: I tried to take shortcuts to save money by using local gardeners but ended up getting the short end of the stick. The local gardener I used was one that my neighbors use for their weekly maintenance. The guy talked a long game but in the end lied and cheated. The moral of the story: Hire a professional the first time you'll end up saving money!

David, your response contains factual statements that are not accurate, and I have timestamped…read morecamera footage documenting the timeline. The installation did not take three days. The main installation began Monday and was essentially completed that same day. Two workers returned briefly Tuesday morning, after which you told me the project was finished and collected my final payment. You also previously told me that you returned Monday to check the work. I reviewed my camera footage and could find no evidence that you returned that day. Your statement that I "could not be bothered" is also false and insulting. I was working at my job. In fact, I interrupted a work meeting and went outside when I saw your crew accessing my underground sprinkler area. I hired you to manage this project and supervise your crew. I was not supposed to repeatedly leave my own job to supervise yours. As for your statement that I "expressed satisfaction at the final walkthrough," I took a quick look while I was between work meetings and, at first glance, the new pavers looked nice. That does not mean I accepted problems I had not yet had an opportunity to discover. You specifically gave me three days to inspect the completed work and report any problems. I reported the problems the very next day. What you also did not tell me when you collected my final payment was that you were about to leave for a week-long vacation. I learned that only after I contacted you about the problems I discovered. Your statement that every issue was addressed by your company is also not accurate. During the original installation, a sprinkler was damaged and my gardener repaired it. After you returned from vacation and moved the drain that had been installed in the wrong location, a second sprinkler line was damaged. I ultimately hired and paid my own sprinkler professional to repair that damage because, by that point, I no longer wanted you or your crew working on my property. There were also workmanship issues with the pavers, including the area around my custom-built catio, where the door was left jammed and unable to open properly, poorly cut pavers, and an area that was not flat or level. My backyard was left with sand everywhere, construction debris, dug-up grass and even the crew's lunch trash. I stand by my review and my description of my experience. I have photographs, messages and timestamped camera footage documenting both the condition of my property and the timeline described above.

I didn't just jump into this with them, I took probably 2 years deciding on who I should use and why. I met with general builders, discount pool builders, other pool companies and I am so happy that I did my homework. Eric and his team are AWESOME. Chad is his point guy and he's the nicest guy you'll ever meet. What they do better than the rest is LISTEN. They really take the time focusing on what you want to accomplish with your pool refresh. I had one of those 70's pools that's 8-9 feet deep. It NEVER warmed to above 80 even in the months where it's a 100 degrees out here for a month. We brought up my depth from 3 1/2 feet to 5 1/2 feet in different areas. We added an 8 foot tanning shelf with stairs. We literally went over every inch of that pool with me in it with a tape measurer just to measure where I wanted the water level in every spot. We made a million changes throughout, as he said in the beginning that we would once things started to take shape. We added the pebble finish. We added new porcelain tile. There are a million options there as well and he guides you through every choice and really has a great understanding of what your water color will end up looking like or how your coping with play with tile that you choose. He/they are way beyond just being knowledgeable. Every inch of your pool will be discussed, if you're that into it. My project took 4 weeks total to finish and came in ahead of schedule. The price I paid was EXACTLY to the penny of what my estimate was, even with the changes that we agreed upon. We took away a few things and added a few things. If I could give 10 stars I would. There isn't ONE inch of my pool that I am unsatisfied with.. Oh, and my water is already at 80 and we haven't even hit the heat of the summer here in the valley. Eric has specialist for every phase of your project and they all were amazing. Clean work, and no debris left after their processes. They were not the cheapest nor were they the most expensive. They landed right on fair. But, worth every penny. My wife and I couldn't be happier. Oh, and if they sucked, I would be the first on here screaming it. I told Eric before we started that I would be leaving an honest review and here it is. If you have any questions, you can have Eric call me and connect us and I will tell you myself. Aces.
