If you're having a hard time deciding on who to use to refresh or rebuild your pool, stop scrolling. Stanton Pools is who you should use in the SF Valley. I didn't just jump into this with them, I took probably 2 years deciding on who I should use and why. I met with general builders, discount pool builders, other pool companies and I am so happy that I did my homework. Eric and his team are AWESOME. Chad is his point guy and he's the nicest guy you'll ever meet. What they do better than the rest is LISTEN. They really take the time focusing on what you want to accomplish with your pool refresh. I had one of those 70's pools that's 8-9 feet deep. It NEVER warmed to above 80 even in the months where it's a 100 degrees out here for a month. We brought up my depth from 3 1/2 feet to 5 1/2 feet in different areas. We added an 8 foot tanning shelf with stairs. We literally went over every inch of that pool with me in it with a tape measurer just to measure where I wanted the water level in every spot. We made a million changes throughout, as he said in the beginning that we would once things started to take shape. We added the pebble finish. We added new porcelain tile. There are a million options there as well and he guides you through every choice and really has a great understanding of what your water color will end up looking like or how your coping with play with tile that you choose. He/they are way beyond just being knowledgeable. Every inch of your pool will be discussed, if you're that into it. My project took 4 weeks total to finish and came in ahead of schedule. The price I paid was EXACTLY to the penny of what my estimate was, even with the changes that we agreed upon. We took away a few things and added a few things. If I could give 10 stars I would. There isn't ONE inch of my pool that I am unsatisfied with.. Oh, and my water is already at 80 and we haven't even hit the heat of the summer here in the valley. Eric has specialist for every phase of your project and they all were amazing. Clean work, and no debris left after their processes. They were not the cheapest nor were they the most expensive. They landed right on fair. But, worth every penny. My wife and I couldn't be happier. Oh, and if they sucked, I would be the first on here screaming it. I told Eric before we started that I would be leaving an honest review and here it is. If you have any questions, you can have Eric call me and connect us and I will tell you myself. Aces. read more

Needed my pool resurfaced. Looked at several pool services with free estimates. Well, if Stanton Pools was my first estimate....I would not of looked any further! Eric Stanton sold me by his professionalism and knowledge of pools. Showed me pebble surfaces and explained the process (I wanted sparkle...so we added shell!). Lowered my deep end to 5 feet and added a Baja shelf. Pleasant and professional workers! I can't say anymore positive comments about my pool project! I use my pool everyday and love the new look! Our old sad looking pool is now our beautiful oasis thanks to Stanton Pools. We were very impressed with the whole process from the beginning, Eric and his team ( especially Chad) were professional, responsive, and clear about the process. They helped us choose the right finishes and design details to match our style, and the workmanship was top notch. The project stayed on schedule, and the crew kept the space clean and safe while working. We loved watching the process of chipping out the old plaster and tile. It was fun watching the new Stonescape pebble finish being applied, it turned out exactly how we hoped it would. We feel like we have a brand new pool and have received many compliments already on how beautiful it looks. If you are thinking about a pool remodel, I highly recommend Stanton Pools. All-around excellence. Eric Stanton came out and reviewed our needs and gave us a quote that suited our needs and budget - and then stuck to it. Met the timelines we established. Had a project Manager Chad Avena, who communicated promptly and kept the project moving. The Stanton teams that showed up for each piece of the complete pool demolition, valve repairs, pebble and glass coating, special effects and lights were all top class and professional and friendly. Even the fixes that were needed to bring us up to code. And they checked back to make sure everything was working properly weeks after the job was done. Stanton Pools Team Rocks!!!! read more

Our old pool plaster looked like it had leprosy. I bit the bullet and hired my pool service company to do the remodel. I can't even fully explain how happy I am that I hired them. We have friends who hired pool companies that made errors and were not always reliable--and their work took forever. So, we were nervous about a remodel. Eric and Chad went over all possibilities and explained the differences of the different types of pool resurfacing options, tiles, and even grout choices. They gave us the information of places to go to for picking out our tile, etc. The process was seamless. They had a great crew come for demo (left no mess), then the tile guy was immaculate and my tile is crazy good and very meticulous in application. Chad helped give pointers on grout and we chose the exact right kind. We went with (Mico Fusion) pebble tech because it lasts a long time, can come in a beautiful color (we chose Laguna) and we didn't want plaster, as the new plaster out there doesn't last long at all. The guys who came to apply the new surface were amazing and left me no mess. The prep of the new surface afterward was done and we filled it with water. They even did more than I expected. There is no mess, everything was done right, they came on time and when they said they would. Chad and Eric were always available for questions. I am not used to doing something where something doesn't go wrong, and it was amazing to have it go completely right. Even the pool start up was great. My pool used to look like a swamp, and my new pool surface is glowing blue, with abalone shell shine added. My tile is the best thing I have ever seen and applied so well. I really appreciate the work and the care that Stanton Pools puts into their jobs. I recommended my friend to them, and she is getting it done with them too-- because she saw how well my pool resurfacing went. So, my 90s pool has been updated and I thnk it looks epic. I actually want to use it now. Pictures don't even do it justice. read more

When a business is healthy and genuinely focused on customer satisfaction -- and not just making money -- it's a win-win situation for both the customer and the business. Stanton Pool is exactly that type of business, and Eric Stanton is that kind of businessman. I was very nervous about replastering my pool and hoped to find an honest contractor who would do a quality job and not leave me with a bad experience. I met with a few contractors to get estimates, but I selected Eric Stanton because you can immediately feel his honesty, genuineness, and professionalism. He clearly explained the entire job process and provided a fair and detailed written estimate outlining all the steps. He answered all of my questions, always got back to me very quickly, and even arranged for me to visit the pool construction materials company so I could see and select the pebble colors. He kept me informed every step of the way -- by text, email, and several phone calls -- before the job even started. The pool looks beautiful, and, funny enough, he still hasn't sent me the final bill even though the job was completed two weeks ago. He truly works with you. Michael James Azimi read more

Hiring Eric Stanton was one of the best decisions I've ever made for my home. They didn't just remodel my pool--they literally reshaped it, replaced all of the plumbing after uncovering a massive leak, and transformed my old, outdated pool into something truly spectacular. I barely recognize what used to be in my backyard. It now looks and feels like a luxury resort. What impressed me even more was the way they took my family's specific needs into account. We have family members with ambulatory issues, and they didn't just add handrails--they redesigned the steps entirely, making them wider, shallower, and significantly easier to use. These thoughtful, accessibility-focused upgrades made a world of difference and showed that they truly listened and cared about how we planned to use the pool. Their communication was outstanding from start to finish. They explained every phase clearly, walked me through design and equipment options, addressed every question promptly, and delivered exactly when they said they would. Professional, transparent, and incredibly knowledgeable. The craftsmanship is exceptional. The new shape is beautiful, the tile and plaster work are meticulous, and the upgraded plumbing and equipment run flawlessly. The level of detail and pride in their work is evident in every inch of the finished product. My backyard now looks like something out of a magazine. Friends and family are in awe--and honestly, so am I. If you're considering a pool remodel or facing plumbing or design challenges, this is absolutely the contractor you want. They exceeded every expectation and delivered perfection. I'd give 10 stars if I could! read more

Stanton Pools has serviced my pool and spa in Chatsworth for 3 years. They are very professional and communicate often with updates on cleaning, filter changes, chemical tablets to be added, etc. There are seasonal services that coincide with the weekly pool and spa cleanings and they always keep me updated so I'm not surprised by non-monthly fees. The best thing is the service guy who comes, Devin. He's prompt and friendly and very thorough. He's even come a few hours earlier or even a day earlier than scheduled when I've had a couple of occasions planned at the house when I knew I'd be having people out near the pool. They even fixed a few parts of my older equipment, like Devin replaced one tube in particular, to keep the system running properly. We built our pool about 25 years ago and so it was in dire need of upgrade; coping, plaster, equipment; everything. Eric did a superb job of working with us in helping bring to life our vision for a new look. I have provided some before and after photos; original look was rock, boulders and our new look was cement coping, tile and we added a Baja step, pebbletech, new lighting and remote control. Over the years We have worked with a number of various contractors regarding renovations of our two houses and hands down, Eric was one of the easiest and best. Iam a massive stickler about doing what you say and saying what you do; additionally being on time and communicative. Eric was all of that and then some. I HIGHLY recommend Eric and his team. Before Eric redid our pool, we had a 60s pool. All the plumbing, electrical and surface needed to be redone. In the process of designing the pool, we added a jacuzzi and a Baja shelf and we resurfaced with pebble tech - all of which I highly recommend if you are updating your pool. I love the way our pool looks now. It went from an outdated eye-sore to a clean gorgeous entertaining area. Eric Stanton is the best. His crew loves him - which I think is one of the signs of a great contractor. I started the process of interviewing MANY contractors 8 months before we broke ground. Eric always took my calls and answered all my questions. There was never any pressure, just information on how to make good choices. He is extremely communicative and collaborative, and genuinely wants the best for his customers. I really enjoyed working with him. We can't say enough good things about Eric and his company, Stanton Pools. They were amazing, and believe it when we tell you, this was not an easy job. Our over-sized pool was built in 1960, and it had issues! There had been a few upgrades through the years, but nothing like what was needed NOW... 65 years later. We had met with several contractors, learning a little more each time, so when we first met Eric, we thought we knew what we wanted. WRONG! Eric presented so much more knowledge, ideas, and fore-sight, and not because he wanted the job, but because he really wanted us to see the whole picture, and be happy in the end. Remember, this was not going to be an easy job. We needed someone who was going to think outside the box. Eric emailed us very informative procedures and recommendations. He has some amazing You-Tube videos online, explaining and demonstrating pool remodeling procedures. We had found our man. Eric truly wanted us to love our pool when it was finished, and we do! His crew: Chad the project manager, who was always available and a joy to work with, to Jim the "Jack-of-all-trades" who came and went, keeping it all moving, and finally Tim, the start-up guy, who got to put the finishing touches on the masterpiece. And a huge shout-out to the chip out crew, the tile crew, and the pebble coating team. They were all incredible at their jobs, and also punctual, respectful, friendly, and clean. We love you all, and we will think of you as we float in our new pool this summer, holding a cocktail, while listening to the Dodger game! read more

This is a combo review for both Stanton Pools and Titan Pavers. Around Labor Day 2023 my pool started losing 2" of water per day. It hadn't been redone since 1995 (a little while after Northridge) and was definitely overdue for a remodel. Eric came by, reviewed the state of the pool, discussed remodeling options and came back a few days later with a DETAILED quote/schedule for every thing that was going to be remodeled. I also wanted to get the deck and my dead lawn replaced. Eric recommended Titan Pavers and said that Stanton did a lot of joint projects with Titan. Max from Titan came by, reviewed the deck and lawn remodeling options and also came back with a DETAILED quote/schedule a few days later. I have DETAILED in caps because the other 3 places I got quotes from wrote a VERY large number on a piece of paper with NO line items/schedule and said "Let's Go". Both Eric from Stanton and Max the owner of Titan have excellent communication skills between each other and the customer. They are very good at coordinating the various steps of remodeling so that things proceed in a timely manner. Both Eric and Max communicated when they found issues during the remodeling (I was expecting the unexpected to pop up due to the age of the pool) and gave me various options/prices for resolving them. My remodeling job took about 2 months from the demo of the entire yard to the filling of the pool. The work and the price for the pool remodeling, pavers and putting green are excellent and I'm highly satisfied with both companies. Give Stanton and Titan Pavers a call. You won't be disappointed. read more

The pool is the first thing we wanted to remodol when we moved in to our new home. So happy we chose Eric Stanton Pools! The water has turned green and the blue tiles were pretty old and outdated. We were gonna go with blue tiles as blue is our favorite color. Eric suggested we go with something lighter so the calcium build up won't show much. Thank you Eric for your suggestion :) We went with a sand color which we are very happy with. We look forward to looking at it every day! It matches our backyard :) Thank you as well for the suggesting the Puerto Rican blend as a mix to our pebble. Our brand new pool is exactly what we wanted. After getting a few quotes on replastering my pool, Eric at Stanton pools became my choice with how insightful and professional he was during our initial consultation. It didn't stop there, every step of the way Eric and his right hand man, Chad were very professional and communicative every step. I was amazed as usually dealing with contractor work is a process of patience, but Stanton pools beat me to any concern with keeping me looped in and giving me tons of information to make the best choice on pebble, color and expected result. But where this company won me over is when I did have an issue, being my expectations are overly high (as my family has mentioned multiple times) they worked on my concern until I was satisfied. All the while, they remained professional and easy to work with. My only wish is they did other construction as I'd love to work with them on other projects given their great service. If Yelp had the ability to give 10 stars, that's what I would give Stanton Pools. Best contractor experience in my lifetime. Allow me to explain. I don't trust most contractors. I don't like most contractors. I put them on the same level as personal injury attorneys and people that kick cats & dogs. If you're considering using Stanton Pools and reading this review, you probably feel the same way and are in angst (like I was) of which contractor to choose. The author Hunter S. Thompson wrote this about the music business and I think it applies to the contracting business as well, so I've changed a few words. "The Southern California residential contracting industry is a cruel and shallow money trench, a long cement hallway where pimps and thieves run free, and good men's wallets die like dogs. There's also a negative side" Stanton Pools is the complete opposite of the above. Eric Stanton, his right-hand man Chad and office staff (Hello, Edith!) are amazing. From my first meeting with Eric he gave me options, ideas, gentle guidance and most importantly, knowledge. Never once did I feel like was trying to bump me up for extras. (May I recommend a Pirate's Lair water slide, sir? Or perhaps some buxom topless mermaid mosaics for the shallow end?) He explained the pros and cons of everything without a know-it-all, "you're dumb if you don't do it this way" attitude like the vast majority of contractors. Chad is also a true professional and handled all questions and the labor like a master juggler. Never once dropping the ball. If I left a voice mail or texted, it was almost always answered within an hour. Never once during the entire process did I get a "opps..we forgot to tell you" type of surprise. No one ever showed up unannounced. In almost all cases I was given at least a 24 hour heads-up of any work to be done. Demo crew, tile workers, Pebble installation, start-up, follow-up. Perfect. ** Probably the best way to express my happiness with this company is I actually ENJOYED writing them checks. Thank you, Stanton Pools. My only regret is I don't have another pool for you to remodel :) read more
