I recently switched to Castro Pool after dealing with a previous pool service that completely dropped the ball. My old pool guy wasn't maintaining the pool properly, and it got to a point where it was no longer usable. Castro Pool came in and completely turned things around. They took the time to properly assess the condition, reset the system, and get everything back on track. Within a short time, the pool went from looking rough to being in amazing, crystal-clear condition again. What really stood out was their professionalism, consistency, and attention to detail. You can tell they actually care about the quality of their work and keeping the pool in top shape--not just doing a quick pass and leaving. If you're dealing with pool issues or just want reliable service, I highly recommend Castro Pool. They brought my pool back to life. read more

Castro Pool - Pool Cleaners Near Me

I rarely leave negative reviews, but after spending thousands on what was supposed to be a straightforward spa coping replacement, I think it's important to share my experience. The project was estimated to take about five days. Instead, it stretched to nearly three weeks because one issue after another kept coming up. What became most frustrating was that I felt like I had to constantly inspect the work and point out obvious problems as they happened. The new spa coping profile didn't match the existing pool coping, but even worse, one half of the spa coping had a different reveal than the other half (see pics), the bullnose was noticeably uneven, extensive patching was required after the initial pour, and the mastic installation had to be redone. Every time one issue was addressed, another seemed to appear. The final, and still unresolved, problem involved the three spillways between the raised spa and the pool. During the project, the Castro team unnecessarily removed and discarded original spillway stone. They installed replacement stone, but after the spa was refilled, the spillways no longer functioned as they had before the project. Because of the way the replacement stone was installed, water that previously flowed fairly evenly across all three spillways now flows almost entirely through one, with little bit in the middle one, and pretty much no flow in the third. What disappointed me most was what happened next. I wasn't asking Isidoro to immediately fix it. I simply asked him to come back, look at the spillways with me, compare them to the videos from before the project, discuss what changed, and come up with a plan to fix it. Instead, after I had already given him the final payment, he told me it would cost another $1,500 to address the issue and he was too busy immediately to come fix it. He never came to inspect the work in person and on my last phone call with him, he told me to fix it myself and literally hung up on me. I understand that construction projects don't always go perfectly. Mistakes happen. What matters is whether a contractor takes ownership of problems and works with the customer to resolve them. That didn't happen here. If the workmanship issues had been the only problem, I probably wouldn't be writing this review. It was the combination of repeated quality issues, the need to continually monitor the work myself, and the unwillingness to come back and inspect a legitimate concern after the project was completed that left me unable to recommend Castro Pool Services. read more

He is unlicensed, unprofessional and fixed/replaced a pool filter. That's all he's kind of capable of. Don't let him do an Masonry rear work -- and don't let him provide estimates for your Pool because he is not someone that you can rely on or is he dependable nor does he provide contracts. read more

It took a couple of days to finalize an appointment, but I'm glad I did! Mr Castro was very helpful and professional. He gave me a great deal on a refurbished pump vs replacing my tired, noisy motor and he also took care of the shoddy plumbing too. He is fair and reasonable with his pricing and his workmanship is fantastic. I would recommend Castro Pool for your pool pump service, repair and replacement. read more

Very unprofessional experience. The work resulted in damage, and instead of resolving it properly, I was asked for extra payment to fix the issue. Communication was not handled professionally, and I had to discontinue the service. I would not recommend. read more

Terrible pool service, will not call him back doesn't know what he's doing .Overcharged me and didn't fix the problem.

Castro did an outstanding job on our pool. He came the same day, gave a more than reasonable quote and started work immediately. His crew was thorough and on time. Castro was the only contractor who offered to come out to check what was going on with the pump. Discovered that the motor was going out. Gave me estimates from best to worst case. Found not only the motor was going bad but the impeller was broken. He provided pictures for me to see. He was on time and saved me more than 50% of the estimates by the other contractors. I would recommend this company for your pool issues read more

We had a Very difficult time trying to find somebody who would help us with repairing a broken diving board. CASTRO pools got right back to us after our Request.. they worked with us for two days to get a new one installed. We would highly recommend their services at any time! read more

For about 12 years we had gone with a pool service that has been poorly reviewed many times on Yelp for inferior customer service and snippy responses. They shall go nameless. But I never found anything significantly better for the price, until I met Isidoro. He is the opposite of the above: Isidoro is professional and courteous, and he responds immediately to texts. He works quickly but he is not sloppy or haphazard, and his rates are reasonable. He always explains exactly what he is doing, the condition of pool and equipment, and what we might need. Our pool is sparkly and inviting because of his care. And he's the only construction or service person I know that our little mutt allows to pet him. Of course, it takes a couple of treats, but it's still saying something. Give Isidoro a call, and he'll be poolside poste haste, guaranteed. read more

Needed a filter change and pool cleaning and Castro Pool did an excellent job and was fairly priced and prompt.

Isidore completed the repair work on my pool water supply lines in a timely manner and cleaned the area nicely.

We couldn't speak more highly of Isidoro professionalism and his team dedication to our project. Isidoro was hands on from design to completion. We have built a pools before and never had the personal attention and expertise we experienced with him. Everyone who worked on the project was respectful, clean and seemed to be experts in their field. We were so impressed by their quality of work and were thrilled when they actually finished on time and on budget. Isidoro doesn't nickel and dime and is the most honest pool contractor we've met. His reputation is impeccable not to mention his design style! He went above and beyond to make sure our project was exactly what we had envisioned. If you're thinking about using Castro pool for your pool project, go for it, you'll end up with an outstanding product! We would highly recommend to anyone. read more

Isidoro from Castro Pool is professional, honest and courteous. He keeps his promises - he comes at the promised time and does what he promises to do. I highly recommend this provider to anyone who needs pool related repair and services. Recently I came to Yelp to find someone to fix my noisy pool pump. Castro pool was one of the early responders that I invited to have an on-site estimate. I initially went with another service provider that responded earlier but left me with poor experience and disappointment - after more than two weeks and many broken promises, my pump was still not back to working condition. With my trust on the provider dwindled I demanded my original pump back with a full refund, swallowing all the time wasted. The following Sunday afternoon I contacted Isidoro from Castro Pool, hoping to get some response back the next day. To my surprise, he got back to me within an hour and promised to come for the repair the next day! He then came on time for the repair work (replacing the motor) Monday! And with reasonable price! He even helped fix the leak left by the previous provider. Moreover, he is honest and does not up sell - he let me buy the new check valve from Amazon and installed for me on his next visit. Now I also let him take my regular pool service. I may update my experience on this in the future. read more

Castro is incredible, professional, genuine, and have a very good network. I highly recommend Castro for any pool work based on my experience. I am impressed with his dedication and commitment. I purchased a house with a very big swimming pool. I wanted to reduce the width and depth of the pool with a very reasonable price. I shopped around many vendors and pool contractors. The price given was very much beyond my reach as this work required almost building a new pool (new wall, new skimmers, plumbing, coping , electrical etc). Castro not only completed all the work with very reasonable price but all well before the committed time. Impressed with the work, I still continue his service for monthly maintenance. read more
