Michael was recommended by a pool pump installer I had used before, who has since retired. I left a message on his phone, and soon received a call from Michael. He asked me to text him pictures of my current pump, pool, and my address. I did that promptly. That was three days ago. He has not texted or called back. Even a short response saying I am too busy, or I cannot do this would have been appreciated. It's a matter of courtesy. So here I am three days later waiting for him to get back. Super responsive! I called Mike from Vision pools asking if he could please come by and take a look at my pool pump. Our current pool guy told me we needed to replace our entire pump (costing $2k) and I wanted to get a second opinion to ensure that was really the issue and see if I was getting the best deal. Our pool got out of hand while we were on vacation, with lots of algae growth. Looked up pool services on Yelp and called Michael based on positive reviews. Sent him photos so he'd know what he was dealing with, and he responded right away with a plan and a very reasonable quote. He came as soon as he was available and the pool is crystal clear again. First off, we communicated through text only (?). We established an agreement for leak detection services. Two days later, he text me early in the morning to ask if " we are still doing the leak test today?" (?). He text me that he had a lot of other things come up and he needs a bigger window for arrival. The only thing this guy was clear on was getting his fee for $300 with a 80% chance of finding the leak. He wants to get his money regardless of if he finds the leak or not. So, if he can't find the leak, he will reschedule a second visit (he has to bring someone with him) to conduct a pressure test and that will cost an additional $250-$300 (?). He states this saves "us" both time and money. Twice this guy quoted his fee. So, I ask questions regarding the leaks to educate myself and he just says there's air in my system. He tells me because of the test I did , that there is a leak in my pool. As if I didn't know that already... which is why I called for a pool leak detection specialist! So, as we are texting back and forth, he letting me know about road construction and if he's still coming to my home to conduct a leak detection test??? He needs to 'know'. I was patient, I was kind and told dude to cancel and keep moving. DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY. I found him/them to be unprofessional, unreliable and potentially unethical. I was pretty confident I had a leak somewhere in my spa, and needed his expertise to locate and, hopefully, repair it. Number one, he did not show up, number two - he did not even call to cancel. Very unprofessional to say the least. If he would have let me know, or something came up, I would have understood. But not even the courtesy of a phone call is inexcusable. He has also NOT returned my calls or texts tonight. Sketchy and shady in my opinion. Suggest you look elsewhere for pool service. Michael is great, came and checked out my pool, gave me great options for saving money on my energy bill, had our pump replaced with a HUGE rebate and now has my business permanently.
