I think this is a hidden gem in many ways because they sell so many salon products for an affordable price. While all beauty stores are small, they are packed with great beauty and salon products which you cannot find in drugstores. They sell many of the products which are available only in salons and for affordable prices. They carry a very wide variety of items and all of those underground items you can't get anywhere else. The sales person are very helpful and friendly, they always have the answers to my wife questions and are attentive and helpful. I've purchased hair color endless clippers trimmers many times, as well as many of the supplies needed to do highlights, haircuts and such. I also love the body waxes and accessories they carry there. Yes i do body wax. They also sell hair extensions, human and synthetic for affordable and I LOVE these because it is nearly impossible to find hair anywhere else. The customer service is also great, there have been a couple of times where I came across a bad batch of wax, and they gladly exchanged it no questions asked even without my receipt. For people that are complaining about the policy be courteous and they will help you; if you come in with an attitude you will get back what you came in with. So goodluck. SO, I came here as a referral, from a guy that used to work at the other Han's location in rowland heights. he told me a woman named "ANNIE" was the best colorist esp; when it comes to asian hair. so it seemed he knew his stuff and i was convinced. a few months later i finally got around to booking an appt with her. she is very nice and i was really excited to get my hair colored by her, after have heard so many rants and raves about her work from that guy. SO! I CAME in with a messy choppy razored cut, from a new place i decided to try out a good month before i visited this spot.. i came in with mexican looking blocky hi-lites, which did not flatter me whatsoever! i told her to just tone it down a bit, that i still wanted my blonde hi-lites but just not as chunky.. i asked for her opinion, and she said she really loves a darker tone for me.. so i said ok.. you can do just a bit darker to make the color even all around but i still want my hi-lites to be blonde. she said ok, she will work her stuff and the results will be great! after she was done, my hair was a lot darker!! and my hi-lites were so stringy they werent even noticeable.. i was really bummed cause i wanted to keep my blonde in there! since it took me forever to achieve that color. she said it looked great.. but from experience, you have to give ur new hair a few days to really see how u like it.. so i did.. i went home, i really wasnt happy.. so a good few months later i went back to go red.. since it would be an all over again process to get back that blonde, i didn't want to kill my hair even more than it already is. -i showed her a photo of what i wanted..=COPPER RED she showed me color swatches, and i picked the one i wanted.. she said it will eventually look similar.. if she went a shade darker.. just to be safe. so i said ok. i always listen to a stylists opinion since i didnt know any better. the color was BURGUNDY.!!! BURGUNDY!! I TOLD her it was more burgundy.. than red, she kept saying, "you have to remember your going to wash it too and the color will fade" during that time, she had informed me she also does extensions.. it was 2 weeks before my birthday and i thought i would give her extensions a try, SINCE again she convinced me the extensions were soooo great! every one of her clients loved them! they lasted a good 4 months, you can reuse the hair, etc... it all SOUNDED SUPER great! so i told her i wanted them done! before hand i also told her i wanted them long!! personally i feel, if your going to pay $3-400 to extend your hair than u minus well go all out!!! -i told her to order me extra length cause i have a longer torso. she said it will cost $20 more.. i agreed. a week later, i came in w/ my sister.. annie was not PREPARED AT ALL!! she was running late, & my extensions have not even been colored! my sister brought her baby along & thought she could get her hair hi-lited the same time she installed my hair. but it didnt work out that way cause, 1) i only washed my hair once since the last time she had seen me, and my "BURGUNDY" FADED to a nasty brown, so bad that she had to re-color my entire head. 2) she was supposed to have my extension ready and colored before my arrival, but she wasnt prepared n we had to wait for my extension 2 color also. 3) we waited a good 15 minutes before she showed up to our appt. my sister was pissed with a agitated fussy baby, waiting on an unprepared stylist. so while waiting for the extension to process it's color i had to drive my sister & niece back home, cause she did not have the patience to wait for annie to get her things straight. -I CAME back a good 40 min later & she apologized.. she installed the extensions and and they were so fuck*n Short!! i even told her, omg it's short, i wanted them longer.. it was literally mid back. & 2 inches longer than my OWN HAIR. i wasnt happy. her response " Well, i usually order the 17" cause about 95% of my clients require the 17" & it is long on them, if you want to order longer than that, it is much more expensive and it comes in 2 strips, and it is much heavier" WELL HELLO! I PAID THE EXTRA $20 FOR WHAT? I TOLD U I HAD A LONG TORSO FOR WHAT?! JUST SO U CAN KNOW HOW LONG MY BACK IS? her extensions were one i have NEVER HEARD before.. THEY WERE A THICK BAND ACROSS THE CENTER OF UR HEAD. THEY WERE SEWN IN WITH CLIPS, THE PROCESS SEEMED FAIRLY SIMPLE & ONLY TOOK 40 MINS. **THEY ARE SO UNCOMFORTABLE!! I CAN'T EVEN PUT MY HAIR HALF WAY, I CANT EVEN LAY MY HEAD DOWN WITHOUT BEING FRUSTRATED, I CAN'T EVEN WEAR A HEADBAND.** I DO NOT RECOMMEND THEM!!! PLEASE SAVE UR TIME AND $$ LADIES!!!! Came here because I was just around the corner at Brea Mall. Hair conditioner was running low. I heard from a friend that this store has a wide selection of everything you need for your hair, so i went in and indeed!!! Hair heaven. So I have long natural color, thick, and when air dried: slightly wavy. I love a good volume so Lee, this guy that is like a hair expert recommended the volume line from biolage since I was already using this brand for the fresh scent I love, but without the extra moisture other conditioner may leave. He did recommend it with a side of Kendi Treatment Oil, a natural organic bamboo ingredient, that leaves my hair shiny, feeling strong and healthy. My hair is thick, so without that extra moisture of other conditioner, my hair still feels light doesn't weigh me down and the oil keeping my hair soft and silky. I definitely recommend coming here, ask Lee if you have any questions. He seriously knows what he's talking about. If there was a hair doctor's degree, he'd be the first with H.D. behind his name on his business card. Next time I go there, I will probably invest in a GHD hair straightener. I just bought one that is still working, so that could wait. They also have a salon side of the store, I wish I had time to try them because I am in mad need of a trim. My professional beauty supply, SalonCentric suggest I go here since they do not have what I was looking for. Sure enough, Han's Beauty was able to help me. The stylists, estheticians & staffs are very nice and super patience. I have to applause them for having to deal with a few of the difficult customers that I have witness when I'm in the store weekly. Those customers not only want free samples all the time, but regularly tries to return half used products AND holding up the check-out line(without any respect to other customers) while demanding to get their way. Witnessing these makes me thankful for my job as an independent stylist that I can refuse service to those unrealistic clients. I would never let those people in my chair to waste my time. I bought a hair straightener that was a final sale item and supposedly not exchangeable/refundable, but they allowed me to exchange it for a better one and I thought that was nice of them because they didn't have to do that (Derrick). I recently went in and observed a couple who were looking for shampoo and conditioner. LEE took them to what he said was the most expensive one and said they needed to buy that if she didn't want dry hair! I noticed their confusion because they didn't speak English well and there are a hundred different brands. So I walked up to the woman told her I was a stylist and told her which ones I recommended and there was no need to buy the most expensive one. She thanked me and went up to purchase and LEE was SO RUDE AND SO MEAN TO THEM! He told them they were going to hate their choice! I felt so sorry for them! They didn't know what to do! I told the man he just wants their money and they purchased what I told her and left. They were treated so badly I will NEVER shop there again myself! He should be reprimanded! I've been going here for 6 years. Laurel does all my facial and waxing needs. I have gone to a couple other of the girls who work there and never leave satisfied like I do with Laurel. I have cystic acne and Laurels facials clear me right up! She does my Brazilian wax and it is so quick, efficient (completely hair free) and pain less (I've been getting waxed for 10 years, so it's pain free for me) , I've never left irritated from the wax unlike from other places. Not to mention that she is very sanitary! Never uses the same stick in the wax. Lee also does amazing nails!!! They rarely lift and she shapes my nails to look natural, which other nail techs can not do because I have short and wide nail beds. I recommend this place to anyone. The MorroccanOil is amazing for any dry hair, absolute favorite &must have. I also buy my Philosophy Purity cleanser (only $20), Shiseido sunblock, and Clarisonic brush replacement here to save me a trip to the mall. AND you get $10 credit for each stamp card you turn in :) The staffs listen to you & are very helpful. The stylists & esthetician are available to answer questions pertaining to the issues I have with my thinning hair and problematic skin as well. Went in this store a couple weeks ago for Bare Skin Essential Make Up and Brush, wound up staying over an hour getting products and great advice from Stacey. Loved the samples she provided, the knowledge she shared with me and the attention to my concerns. I actually purchased a few other products for my hair as well. So enjoyed the samples, returned and purchased more of the Dermalogica line. It really is the best product I've ever tried. Hooked! This time Lee assisted me with an eye cream and cleanser. Recommended returning and speaking to Jillian personally. After literally "grilling" Jillian about her experience I returned yesterday to get my hair cut and colored (roots, high and low lights). I was so impressed with the finished product that I immediately booked an appointment for a touch up in 4 weeks. I found Hans on google map when I was in a hurry to find a beauty supply store. I purchased too much wax and went back to return it and get some more supplies. They gave me a hard time about returning the wax and while i was asking for suggestions about products the worker was rude to me and completely NOT helpful. I cant stand when people are rude to customers. Considering I am a license hairdresser they only gave me 10% off on all the products I wanted. I was going to buy some hair spray and I might as well have just bought some from my salon because the pricing was outrageous. I have been purchasing from Han's Beauty for a few years now. I like this place because they carry all my regular make-up , facial and hair care brands ( twice they were out of stock on my shampoo ) and the parking is so easy that I can be in and out quicker than most drive-thru's. !!! Convenience gets me coming back . the service at the counter is always quick, and friendly. Two down sides for me --- you can not return anything.. although they did give me a credit once when I purchased the wrong version of my regular product. The second downer is the prices seem a bit higher than the beauty supply in La Habra. In my weekend errands, I seem to always be more in the Han's Beauty Store area and it's on my way home so, the convenience again keeps me coming back. I recently even used their hair salon. I was a walk-in and didn't even know if they serviced walk-ins . The gentleman behind the counter said that no stylists were in right now but he immediately called a gal named Nicque and she could be there in about an hour !!! i thought that was very very service friendly.! I left to do an errand and came back right on time and she was waiting for me. Nicque listened to my concerns., my ideas and she interjected her professional suggestions with knowledgeable explanations She was courteous , thorough and her suggestion was also less expensive than my own idea. I went to purchase some hair color from igora and Stacy recommended that I consult with her hairstylist who was an expert with that particular brand. She mentioned that she ruined her daughters hair and the hair dresser provided an excellent solution. Thus, I took her advice and met with her hairdresser. When I went home and tried a pea size amount on my hair I realized it was too red, so I went back to exchange the color which was practically unused. Stacy told me that she was absolutely unaccountable for the recommendation and point blank that it was my loss for listening to her.
