Amazing food and great prices!…read more I have seen this place pop up on my Yelp account many times as I've been searching for places to try. I brought it up to my sister and she also said she had been wanting to go especially since she was told they have gluten free options so we decided to pop in for lunch. We went on a Sunday around 2:45 and it wasn't super busy so we were able to get a table right away. We were immediately brought water and menus. There was the regular menu, happy hour and brunch. Brunch is served on Saturday and Sunday until 3. We both tried the blackberry mule mocktail which was good but tasted quite heavy on the ginger beer. I couldn't decide between the breakfast pizza and poutine fries so I got both. The poutine fries were on the happy hour menu during that time. The breakfast pizza was quite large and fennels meant for at least two people but it was nice and hot and cheesy and I loved the addition of the egg but wish it came with more than one. It also needed a sauce of some kind, ranch or salsa or even hot honey. The poutine fries were delicious! I got it with mushroom gravy and haven't been able to stop thinking about them. I was unable to try the stuffed avocado and Baja bowl that my sisters ordered due to my avocado allergy but she really enjoyed it. The service was prompt and our waitress was really nice. All in all, there was so much in it that it was difficult to evaluate what I was eating, which is a good thing. It means I'll have it again :). It functioned as a whole rather than as separated ingredients to give a complex flavor profile, which I appreciated. The fries were seasoned beautifully. Very savory. I enjoyed them. Cooked wonderfully as well. The tortilla chips in the nachos.. I don't know if they were made there or not, but they gave the impression of being store-bought. The quality was not great. The nachos themselves... plenty of ingredients that you can mix together, but the ingredients weren't like a complete package. They were like a pile of separate things. I expect a well-balanced mixture of ingredients. The layer of queso was below while the avocado was clumped up at the top. The ingredients separately were quite bland. I wouldn't have this again. The brownie was better than a flourless chocolate torte and quite large. I enjoyed it, though I would say that it's not as good as a more standard brownie. I wouldn't have this again.

My friends didn't seem to be proponents of coming here initially, but we did anyway because we got tired of looking around and figured worst case scenario, we come back to the hotel we were staying at and ordered room service, and to give this place a look. When we got there, there seemed to be many employees and a good number of people already dining here. They have a more limited menu for the late night hours but it was enough for us. My friend ended up getting a wor wonton soup and she said it was pretty good. She also ordered a side of eggs. The serving sizes appeared generous. My other friend got French toast and she said it was solid, as expected. I got a chicken club sandwich with fries and it was reasonably priced and also generously sized. I ended up taking some of the fries home because of how big the sandwich was. Food came out reasonably quick, hot, and fresh. Overall, the vibes were of a late night diner. Nothing fancy at all. The staff up front seemed a little flustered, but honestly, it also had the distinct vibe of a place where they had probably dealt with approximately 47 people who thought they were the most important customer of the day. Despite all of that, we were seated outside within about 20 minutes. Our waiter was fantastic and went out of his way to make sure we had a table in the shade and adjusted the shade for my mother in law. Food came out surprisingly quickly too. I had the apple walnut salad, which was fresh and delicious, and someone else in our group had an eggs Benedict that was equally great. Yes, you can hear some street traffic, but honestly, with the way they have the patio set up, you quickly stop noticing it. Our waitress was very friendly and got our coffees out right away. Even the regular black drip coffee was good! She took our order shortly after, and considering how many people were seated outside, our food came out relatively quickly. I never made it inside to see how busy it was in there, but the patio was packed. Clearly, the kitchen has it down because they were moving a lot of food without making us feel like we were waiting forever. I had the chicken fried steak and eggs, and I would order it again in a heartbeat. The chicken fried steak and gravy were excellent, the hash browns were good, and surprisingly, one of the stars of the plate was the toast--and I'm not even a big toast person! It tasted incredibly fresh, like the bread had been made that morning. The other two dishes at our table were the Eggs Benedict and the Truckee Meadows omelette. I think the fact that both plates were completely cleared says everything you need to know! Wow. If you find yourself in Reno, jonesing for a burger, Archie's is the place to go. We aren't…read moreresidents, but come up the hill a few times a year for various events. Until this 4th of July weekend (250/2026) we had never heard of Archie's. It was recommended to us and we stopped in on Sunday the 5th for lunch on our way out of town. What an amazing choice. I ordered their bacon cheese burger. Guess what? It was GIANT. It was delicious. It was perfect. Comes with fries but I got onion rings. The onion rings were perfect too. Largest order of rings I have ever seen. The burger (1/2 Lb I think!!) had nice thick bacon in every bite, two large and fresh slices of tomato, a big old slab of an onion slice, mayo and lettuce. I can't remember if there were pickles. It was the best burger and onion rings I have eaten in at least ten years, maybe 20. We will be back, EVERY time we are in town from now on. I can't recommend this place enough. Special shout out to David, our server. This guy made no mistakes. Laughed at all my stupid dad jokes, was attentive, patient while my companions changed their minds 36 times, and was friendly too. Says it was only his 2nd day on the job, but I wish he had been working for us at our restaurant (Hokkaido Noodle House) in Sacramento. He is a pro already, give him reasons to keep working for you boss. Don't worry, we won't steal him from you, we are retired and closed our joint 10 years ago. Rock on Archie's! You have earned a few new fans today.

I went here on Sunday mid afternoon before Memorial Day so I assume many students had left town so…read morethe place was pretty empty (so service was excellent.) Was surprised it had a second floor with a small deck and pretty decent views! Big place. Great Happy Hour Deals (half off drinks) and other specials. I haven't eaten breakfast there but the burger I'd put in the top 4 in Reno. It is giant diameter wise but the meat is the same amount of a smaller thicker burger which makes it no too hard to eat. I'd call this a Purist's Burger. Crisp lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles, mustard, sauce. They went really light on the sauce to the point I didn't think it had any. Fries were excellent too. Price is very reasonable (that's typical near a college.) I've tried Royce, Juicy's, and The Parlor. I'd put Archies below Royce and Parlor but above Juicy's. Two left on my list are Armando & Son's Butcher Shop and of course Beefy's.
