Even though I told him that I was still gathering quotes, he remained friendly and understanding. Joe's quote was far and away the best that I received from 3 different service providers. I called Joe to schedule an appointment. The phone was answered promptly and a time was agreed upon. Joe called me approximately 1 hour prior to the appointment time to ensure that the garage door would be accessible. He arrived on time with all materials required to complete the repair. As I observed the work being performed, it was obvious that Joe is experienced and knowledgeable in his profession. The repair was completed promptly and he took the time to look over the entire garage door, recommending possible maintenance to be performed by me. Austin Garage Door Solutions is definitely on my list of businesses to contact for repair work. Joe personifies the reason I support small businesses.

I did not receive a receipt so even though I was told we would have a year warranty I have no proof that they ever came out. While the person in charge was very responsive to my initial request to come out, once they charged my credit card they ghosted me. I've tried several times to reach them by email and text to get a receipt and to ask for someone to come take a look at the door because it's making a horrible noise. Now I have to pay an actually reputable company to come fix this subpar work.

I called the main number and received a call back from Wellington, long time service technician. He stayed in close touch from his mobile phone and showed up the next morning at 8:30 AM along with his assistant. They stopped by enroute to two garage door installation jobs. Wellington and his helper fixed all the malfunctions in about 45 minutes. Efficient, knowledgeable, courteous, and explained what went wrong and how it was fixed. I am very satisfied with the service. I thought the cost was fair. Experts take less time to get things done.

No customer service We have used Dougs garage door service…read morefor years and they have always been helpful, thorough, and wonderful to work with. Fast forward to today -- after a couple of calls to finally get someone on the phone they came out to go over both of our doors and fine tune them and we were also having problems with the outside entry pad on one door. The service tech that came out barely worked on either of our doors and he just said we have to change the battery on the key pad. Never looked at the seals or oiled any of the rollers. And the keypad still does not work even after I changed the battery because according to the tech "they don't do that part". So after $$ later my doors and keypad are the same as before the tech arrived. He said we can call them back out to look at the keypad again but who knows if they will actually do any work this time. No thanks. I only gave them 2 stars because the tech was on time. This is not the same Doug's as in years past.

Because of that, the rail has been flexing and hitting the ceiling. It has already caused drywall damage. That is not wear and tear. That is poor workmanship. I called to have it fixed. Instead of taking responsibility, the office manager tried to send me to Old Republic because they paid for the job. No. You did the work in my home. You are responsible for how it was installed. This is a simple fix that should have been done correctly the first time. The fact that I even have to argue about it says everything. If you use this company, understand the risk. If the job is done right, you are fine. If it is not, do not expect them to stand behind their work

I was working through a home warranty company and needed a quote that met their specific approval requirements before the repair or replacement could be authorized. After inspecting the unit, David provided a quote exactly in the format I needed for the warranty company to review. Once the work was approved, I scheduled the installation with David. He arrived on time and was once again very professional and easy to work with. After installing the new garage door opener, he noticed that my garage door itself was out of alignment and not properly balanced. Although this wasn't covered by my warranty, David took the time to fix the issue, lubricate the door, and properly balance it at no additional charge. My garage door is now functioning better than it did when it was first installed. Before contacting D2 Garage Doors, I had two other companies provide quotes that were over $200 higher than David's--and that was just for replacing the opener without addressing the additional issues. I highly recommend David and D2 Garage Doors for any garage door repairs or service. I will definitely be calling D2 again in the future if I need any additional work done.
