Eye Opener

Hanlon's I love you. Hanlon's is home to the kindest, sweetest, most attentive, and friendly service I have ever had. Everyone who works here is absolutely lovely. Today I had the Lighter Fare after losing my battle against the Eye Opener. It was delicious and still plenty of food!

Still delicious food with good service. The PB&J French toast was yummy. Nothing special about the decor, but worth visiting.

Friendly service, DELICIOUS and flavorful food, large portions and great value for the money. They accept cards but I like to use cash for small mom & pop establishments. Love the hometown feel of the restaurant--doesn't look like much from the outside but cozy on the inside. :) Looking forward to returning other items!

Breakfast burrito and home fries

I got breakfast delivered a few weeks ago and I can't wait to order again! The free delivery was an awesome surprise. I got a mushroom, Swiss, spinach, and bacon omelette. It was so huge and filling! I got home fries on the side. They were red potatoes with some sautéed onion. I would've liked them to be a little crispier so I'll see if I can request that next time. My husband got a pretty big breakfast burrito filled with veggies and assorted breakfast meats.

Great, homemade breakfast. Huge omelet! Unassuming little joint with a nice menu selection. Will be back again soon!

the omelette was stuffed to the brim. very filling. it lacked some seasoning but the excessive cheese makes up for it. love a handheld hash brown

This has been a neighborhood favorite for years. For some reason it's taken me forever to try it out. It's a very cute restaurant but SMALL and there's nowhere to wait. It was packed but I expected as much since it was a Sunday after church. Service was beyond friendly, I never waited for a drink refill and they checked in frequently. Atmosphere was very homey. I got the loaded home fries with jalapeños, bacon, and mushrooms. The portion was huge and so delicious. The cheese got a little hard but that's probably because I was going more talking than eating. I can't wait to come back!

This is a nice small diner located in the shopping center of crafton. You wouldn't expect it to be there, but we have driven past it a few times and wanted to give it a try. We both got an omelet with sausage and potatoes. It was a good sized portion for the price. Great prices. I thought the meal was alright, but the service was beyond slow and our waitress only checked in with us once throughout the entire 50 minutes we waited for our food. I could tell it was busy and they were probably short staffed, but we were ready to leave it took soooo long. Staff was friendly, but it's not somewhere I am craving to return to unfortunately.

Just a portion of the roast beef hash. Comes with 2 full slices of toast (4 pieces), and lots of meat and potatoes!

Sam was our server and she was open, engaging and very knowledgeable about the many choices on the menu. Dining area and bathroom were clean and uncluttered. We both had the biscuits and sausage gravy with home fries (and added onions and peppers although not really needed). The gravy actually had visible sausage and the gravy savory. The whole dish was seasoned just right although I added a little Frank's because, well it's Franks! I also made a menu suggestion for a redneck Benedict with biscuits, patty sausage, the sausage gravy and two eggs any style. Sam! I forgot to mention adding a sprinkle of shredded cheddar. The redneck bennie will change. Your. Life! Needless to say, not only will we be back, we've found our go-to spot!

I really like the Claire's veggie benny.. just wish there was more of it. My daughter ordered the strawberry crunch french toast- fun idea and it was good in small doses, but a lighter, simpler version would be better. Extremely greasy/ buttery and they added a bunch of red food coloring to the cream cheese filling to make it pink, which i think was really unnecessary. I don't even remember seeing any strawberries in it.

The inside is well-worn, with vintage Steelers memorabilia on the walls, taped-up chairs, and that classic neighborhood "dive diner" feel that has probably looked the same for years. What makes this place stand out is the food. Don is clearly a talented cook. The pancakes were light, fluffy, and absolutely delicious. Our favorite was the homemade home fries with onions and green peppers--they were perfectly cooked, full of flavor, and some of the best we've had. The servers were incredibly sweet and made us feel welcome from the moment we walked in. If you're looking for a polished, upscale restaurant, this isn't it. But if you love authentic neighborhood diners where the food is homemade, the portions are generous, and the people are kind, this place is definitely worth a visit. We'll absolutely be back!

Would be 3.5 if half stars were allowed. I've been here…read moremultiple times and the reason for the lower rating is the inconsistencies. In my most recent visit, we each ordered a single pancake and a side of bacon. The restaurant was busy, so we expected a wait. But 20 minutes later we hadn't seen our server at all for drink refills (or food) and when we asked about when the food was coming (we asked someone else because we hadn't seen our server) they said "you need to ask your server that" Well, we can't because she is apparently MIA... The pancakes were HUGE. The full size of the plate. But they were SO dry. I'm not sure if they were overcooked or what, but they were just not good. We loaded them with butter and syrup and they were still somehow dry. My daughter mentioned it to our server and she said "well the kitchen is just busy today" Maybe it was an off day, but between the food not tasting all that great and the service being non existent, we were pretty frustrated. On another visit, our service was almost too attentive. Hovering, constantly asking if we needed anything else. They have a fantastic variety on their menu and I have had really good meals here. But they really do need to work on their consistency in food quality and service.

The scrambled eggs were uniquely flat but good. The bacon was thin, but it was delicious (and they gave more than two pieces, so it was plenty). The home fries were pretty standard. Italian toast was well toasted and buttered. I found it odd that they gave ketchup packets instead of a bottle, but this is a Greek owned restaurant, and maybe ketchup isn't prevalent in Greek culture. My son got Greek eggs Benedict, which had Gyro meat. I tasted a bit of the meat, and it was awesome. Definitely something to consider on a future visit or maybe for lunch. Not huge inside, so large parties could be tricky. There were five of us, and it looked like only one table could accommodate a larger party, but it was available with no wait. There was only one server, so I was worried that the service would be slow, but she did a great job. The restaurant was only around half full at the time. I saw comments in other reviews about the waitress being rude. I'm not sure if ours was the same person, She had a very monotone voice and direct demeanor (probably partially due to being the only server and trying to be as efficient as possible) and I can understand how some people might perceive this as rude. We had zero problem with her. She was very nice and attentive, and she offered a bit of small talk as I was paying at the register.

He ate it just as quickly as it came! While I wish the interior design had been given more thought--such as displaying pictures, murals, and nicely arranged flowers on the tables to enhance the experience--the food more than made up for what the interior lacked. We both had a wonderful experience here and would highly recommend it to others.
