Hanlon's I love you. Hanlon's is home to the kindest, sweetest, most attentive, and friendly service I have ever had. Everyone who works here is absolutely lovely. Today I had the Lighter Fare after losing my battle against the Eye Opener. It was delicious and still plenty of food!

Still delicious food with good service. The PB&J French toast was yummy. Nothing special about the decor, but worth visiting.

Friendly service, DELICIOUS and flavorful food, large portions and great value for the money. They accept cards but I like to use cash for small mom & pop establishments. Love the hometown feel of the restaurant--doesn't look like much from the outside but cozy on the inside. :) Looking forward to returning other items!

I got breakfast delivered a few weeks ago and I can't wait to order again! The free delivery was an awesome surprise. I got a mushroom, Swiss, spinach, and bacon omelette. It was so huge and filling! I got home fries on the side. They were red potatoes with some sautéed onion. I would've liked them to be a little crispier so I'll see if I can request that next time. My husband got a pretty big breakfast burrito filled with veggies and assorted breakfast meats.

Great, homemade breakfast. Huge omelet! Unassuming little joint with a nice menu selection. Will be back again soon!

the omelette was stuffed to the brim. very filling. it lacked some seasoning but the excessive cheese makes up for it. love a handheld hash brown

This has been a neighborhood favorite for years. For some reason it's taken me forever to try it out. It's a very cute restaurant but SMALL and there's nowhere to wait. It was packed but I expected as much since it was a Sunday after church. Service was beyond friendly, I never waited for a drink refill and they checked in frequently. Atmosphere was very homey. I got the loaded home fries with jalapeños, bacon, and mushrooms. The portion was huge and so delicious. The cheese got a little hard but that's probably because I was going more talking than eating. I can't wait to come back!

This is a nice small diner located in the shopping center of crafton. You wouldn't expect it to be there, but we have driven past it a few times and wanted to give it a try. We both got an omelet with sausage and potatoes. It was a good sized portion for the price. Great prices. I thought the meal was alright, but the service was beyond slow and our waitress only checked in with us once throughout the entire 50 minutes we waited for our food. I could tell it was busy and they were probably short staffed, but we were ready to leave it took soooo long. Staff was friendly, but it's not somewhere I am craving to return to unfortunately.

Just a portion of the roast beef hash. Comes with 2 full slices of toast (4 pieces), and lots of meat and potatoes!

Delicious old-school stick to your ribs diner food! I decided to get takeout breakfast after the gym next door. I tried to call in my order, as not to use any third-party apps which take a large commission, but the phone just kept ringing. I walked next door and placed my order, and she quoted me 15 minutes. Enough time to do a quick massage at Planet Fitness, grab my wallet, and come back in 15 minutes - it was just ready and being walked to the front of house when I arrived. Great timing! Cashier/hostess was very friendly and helpful with adjustments to the breakfast burrito (no meat). The inside is very small and it was buzzing with people on a Saturday morning. I got myself the roast beef hash & my friend the breakfast burrito with side of home fries. Everything was just as we'd ordered and hot! The roast beef hash was excellent! Tons of shredded, tender beef fried up with some potatoes and cheese. I'm not normally a breakfast person, but wow, this was just excellent, with a generous portion and two toasted slices of rye. Home-cooked comfort food bursting with flavor. My friend enjoyed his burrito and home fries. I loved that the home fries were "rustically chopped", in that you knew they were cut and cooked in house! No defrosted cubed potatoes here. I will definitely be back to try some of their delicious-sounding lunch options!

Good family dining and friendly service. Fresh food. Excellent breakfast. Not too expensive. Patronize a family place instead of a chain!

From the second we walked in, the atmosphere was so charming and nostalgic, right down to the unbelievably reasonable prices. It's the kind of spot that instantly makes you feel comfortable and keeps you entertained the entire time you're there. We sat at the bar and were greeted right away with coffee and water while we looked over the menu. One of the coolest parts was being able to watch the food being prepared right in front of us - the entire vibe of the room felt lively, authentic, and honestly hilarious at times. Between the conversations, the energy behind the counter, and the overall ambiance, it genuinely felt like dinner and a comedy show wrapped into one. We ordered the vegetable omelet and the pancake special, and both came out piping hot and absolutely delicious. Everything tasted homemade, fresh, and comforting in the way classic breakfast spots should. You can tell this place has character, heart, and a loyal following for a reason. This is truly one of those spots that deserves way more attention and is 100% worth stopping into if you're in the area. And if you're a fan of Mayor of Kingstown, you definitely need to check this place out!

The scrambled eggs were uniquely flat but good. The bacon was thin, but it was delicious (and they gave more than two pieces, so it was plenty). The home fries were pretty standard. Italian toast was well toasted and buttered. I found it odd that they gave ketchup packets instead of a bottle, but this is a Greek owned restaurant, and maybe ketchup isn't prevalent in Greek culture. My son got Greek eggs Benedict, which had Gyro meat. I tasted a bit of the meat, and it was awesome. Definitely something to consider on a future visit or maybe for lunch. Not huge inside, so large parties could be tricky. There were five of us, and it looked like only one table could accommodate a larger party, but it was available with no wait. There was only one server, so I was worried that the service would be slow, but she did a great job. The restaurant was only around half full at the time. I saw comments in other reviews about the waitress being rude. I'm not sure if ours was the same person, She had a very monotone voice and direct demeanor (probably partially due to being the only server and trying to be as efficient as possible) and I can understand how some people might perceive this as rude. We had zero problem with her. She was very nice and attentive, and she offered a bit of small talk as I was paying at the register.

The Speckled Egg provided the upscale and elevated breakfast, that was a nice contrast to the rustic and local breakfast we had the next day. Our waitress was friendly and professional. After some deliberation, I went with a bowl that included eggs, chicken sausage, sweet potatoes and a nice garnish of dill. The dill surprisingly elevated the whole dish. My wife enjoyed an omelette. Coffee was also quite good! Nice start to a day of sightseeing! (The restaurant staff gave great advice about the nearby tourist attractions)

He was courteous, well spoken and friendly. We sat there for about 10-12 minutes. No one approached the table. We looked over to what appeared to be a bar area and we saw two servers standing there talking and showing each other their phones. My wife said, "With our luck, one of those two is our server." Sure enough, when they were finally done talking, one came over to our table....no smile and a big audible sigh. She asked what we wanted to drink, we gave our order and she returned with our beverages. After another 10 minute wait she came back to take our order. When asked about a certain dish, came another big sigh, eye roll and and a rote description of said dish. The food arrived and one of the orders was wrong. Another wait to get her attention. We asked for the item to be redone as we had ordered it. And she even asked how we wanted it! You got it...another eye roll and a big sigh. At least she was well oxygenated! The dish came back with the very same results. On that issue we gave up. Then came the wait for the check. Once again the two servers were chatting, no heads turned to check on their tables. My son went over to get the check. When the check arrived, it was attitude city. She accused us of picking on her because she was only a server. It's obviously how she saw herself. We then asked for the manager who was quick to side with the server. She said that nothing seemed to satisfy us and that we had a problem. IN SHARP CONTRAST. I have been to the Speckled Egg on the South Side many times. From the Host/Hostess to the servers to the bus staff, everyone had a smile, chatted with their customers, laughed and it was always a great experience. The manager came over since he recognized me from being there many times and we chatted for a minute. We are talking Night and Day. Completely two different experiences from server to management styles. To me there is only one Speckled Egg and one complete waste of time (Downtown).
