The distributor sold us not only the wrong color/pattern tiles, but these tiles were all defect. Large chips, broken tiles, insufficient material, lots of filler, etc. Garret, the manager from the distributor had never inspected the goods before passing them on. He ignored all our quality concerns, did not even come over to our house to verify and consistently tried to blame his supplier. His responses were unprofessional and even insulting. Please, stay away from this hands-off distributor who does not stand behind the goods he sells.

Marble Yard (not to be confused with The Yard) was the third place we visited. I was already overwhelmed from the other two showrooms, but Dale and his team were so helpful in helping us narrow down our options. He asked for our measurements, input them into a design app, looked at our floor/cabinet samples, and really listened to what we wanted. We told him we were looking for quartzite that resembled marble, and he showed us a leathered Bianco Superiore quartzite slab that was absolutely stunning. The leathered finish has a matte, textured feel where you can actually feel the veins--unlike honed, which is matte but smooth. It wasn't what I expected, but we were both instantly drawn to it. Dale also gave us great recs for tile installers and fabricators, all fairly priced. Total bonus: he's been on multiple HGTV shows as a stone and design expert!
