Writing an update to my review as it seems that Charla from Mitercraft wants to chime in on the veracity of my version of events. It seems that Mitercraft staff have never experienced life events happening that are more stressful and taxing than a simple home renovation project. At the time that the below events were unfolding my wife was diagnosed with hypertension while pregnant and we were in constant fear of losing baby during the late stages of pregnancy. When something like this happens then moving forward on a home renovation project takes the back burner and you can't always stop to explain things as you are just taking care of your own during a stressful season. Anyone reading this that has been through any kind of life event will understand what that is like. Also, to clarify something that Charla shared in her response: our home security footage recorded Doug (owner) clearly banging on the front door and yelling. I would be happy to share the footage with anyone considering working with these clowns. I was able to de-escalate the situation through calm mediation language but he was making a scene that was quite chaotic and traumatizing for my toddler who still jumps when she hears someone knock on the door and who for weeks after the incident would ask "why did that guy bang on our door?" I truly just hope this review is helpful for anyone considering working with Mitercraft as they are not a reputable or professional business to work with. Full review below ---- Awful experience with these guys, Doug in particular was a real a$$hole to deal with. Order was placed in early April and I chose to order from these guys, particularly choosing Milguard because of the quoted 3-4 week delivery timeframe. AFTER the order was placed I was told it would be 8 weeks. I informed them this didn't work because my wife was pregnant, due soon, and the only way to do this project was to get the windows in 3-4 weeks. Despite that, once the windows came in late May they demanded payment for windows not yet delivered and I stated we would not be able to do the project because of the timeframe and pregnancy complications and would be delayed 5-6 months before we could rip into this project. They were completely unwilling to work with me or store them for any amount of time. I told them multiple times that we were at doctor appointments almost daily and I was unable to take delivery or pick them up and they would need to be stored. They went as far as verbally harassing me on the phone, threatening to lien my house (which is funny because you can't lien a house when you haven't done work or delivered product). All they did repeatedly was demand payment for windows not yet delivered Doug then delivered the windows to my home today (without warning), by banging on the door, scaring the shit out of my wife and baby. He yelled at me for not being professional which is just comical considering that it is not the customer's duty to be professional. He brought a little cronie to film the interaction - when I asked if he was filming he refused to stop although I did not give consent to have this be filmed. Overall my experience with Mitercraft was that Doug is a real asshole, and I recommend others to completely avoid any dealings with this business unless you want to work with the least flexible, rude, and degrading vendor you have ever met. read more

I am so grateful to Tyler with Miter Craft. His patience and honestly saved me a lot of money and he did this without making a penny from me. His ethics are impressive. My story is as follows..... I wanted to rekey my all doors/locks, which are many and several have different keys that are lost. I was quoted an exorbitant price of $1145 from Golden Locksmith in Irvine for rekeying eight locks and giving me one key for all of them. I felt this quote was way too overpriced and after taking to Tyler, he confirmed he believed that my quote was indeed overpriced. I was thinking I would need to get new cylinders for each lock ( I was contemplating doing the job myself to save money) which is why I called Miter Craft to find out the price. When I told Tyler my story in dealing with Golden Locksmith, Tyler referred me to Balport Lock and Safe which I ended up using, and they were amazing! Tyler let me know I didn't need to purchase new cylinders and that Ballot could handle all my needs without me needing to purchase anything more or new. Simply call Balport and I would be fine and this was the case. I am so grateful for Tylers kindness and honestly with my challenge and when I do need to purchase new door hardware, I will definitely be using Mtier Craft. I found out about this company because I was trying to match my baseboard at Home Depot and a guy overheard me in the aisle and said I should go to Miter. I called and Zachary was very friendly and told me to email him pictures. He researched it immediately, they had it in stock, and I went there there to pick up just 1 piece of baseboard. Got referred to Miter Craft from my handyman and have used them several times since. The staff is very friendly and professional, but even better they were very knowledgeable about their products. I'll give you an example, I bought some new doors and needed some additional moulding to go around the edges to match what I had purchased from them years ago. I brought in a picture of the moulding I had purchased there before and they new exactly what it was and got me more of it no muss, no fuss. Even the man who strapped my moulding onto my car was expert at his craft; clearly he had done it hundreds if not thousands of times before. We just got new floors put in our house, so as soon as I can get everything measured, I will be heading over to Miter Craft for new base boards for the entire house. read more

I have been to Miter Craft many times. Great prices and they know there stuff. If you care about COVID do not go here. Not one employee was wearing a mask. I asked Tyler to put one on and after he rolled his eyes and took a deep breath, he put it on except, of course, wore it under his nose. I had a really bad experience with this company. I usually buy from Ganahl Lumber, but after a good friend and neighbor in Newport Beach told me about Miter Craft, I thought I'd give them a shot. I had a small list of doors I was shopping with a few different suppliers. I went to Miter Craft and asked if they would match the pricing I got from a supplier in Ontario, the gentleman at the front desk was more than accommodating and said he would. That's when then owner (I presumed) walked in and looked at the quote and said... "I'll pass... I',m not going to drop my drawers for anyone"... I replied with... "I totally understand... No problem" he answered condescending with "Have a nice trip back to Ontario" I live and have been a business owner in Newport Beach for 35 years. I think his Ontario comment was meant in a derogatory way, and was way out of line. His pricing was 19% higher than my other quote. If he instead would have just said, I can't meet that price but here's what I can do... I probably would have purchased from him out of convenience. But the disrespectful comment hit a nerve with me. read more

This place is great. The owner was there working on a Saturday, he showed me around, took my order and even got his own son to deliver the product for me at no cost. When the son showed up to deliver, He unloaded my doors and molding and carried them into my garage, there was A LOT to unload. I offered him a tip and he refused. We love this place! read more

I just finished painting our 24' x 18' den and knew that even though it did not have crown moulding before, it would look great. Plus some paint got on the ceiling and I didn't want to paint that! So, I began my search for the perfect moulding that would not be too expensive, too gaudy, too cheap looking and would cover my mistakes of paint on the ceiling! I searched the web, Loews, H Depot, Ganaul's and Moulding World (or World of Moulding)...not sure on that name. Well, Loews and and Home Depot had next to none, Ganual's had more to choose from and so far the cheapest and the World was loaded, but pricey. Then I was on Balboa Isl at a luncheon and saw my friend had some up so I asked about it. She told me about Miter Craft! So, I went to the store (late-called them on my way which was right at closing), they stayed open for me which was incredible! The price was about .40 cents lower per foot than World of Moulding. they were so helpful and nice too. I really thought it was a beautiful store wither nicely displayed hardware and of course mouldings. I will go there for any kind of fixture and moulding I will need in the future without hesitation. That's why I am writing this review. Great people and small business at good prices. Being a small business owner my opinion is that you cannot beat that combination. So, thank you Miter Craft. When I got new flooring put into my house, they tore out the old baseboards and I was looking for a place to get new baseboards. I'm glad I checked out this place because of the FANTASTIC prices and really helpful staff! They loaded me up w/ samples and spent time to answer my questions.
