Oftentimes you can find the equivalent tile for half the price. Nevertheless, we purchased tiles for our bathroom here but bought our shower pan and edging elsewhere. Luckily, the tiles were in stock, so I was able to pick up at the Hawthorne warehouse location on 147th and Inglewood the same day. From the start, the customer service was outstanding. We came in looking for very specific rift white oak cabinets, and Rich really listened to what we wanted. He helped us choose beautiful solid-wood cabinets from Nations Cabinets (made in the USA) that matched our vision exactly. They look high-end, the finish is gorgeous, the doors and drawers are smooth, and everything feels sturdy and well-built--nothing cheap or flimsy. The cabinets arrived fully built and ready to install. A few small pieces were missing, but they rushed the replacements so our project wouldn't be delayed. Rich even came in person to oversee delivery and unpacking, which gave us a lot of confidence. Jim also took multiple follow-up calls from us about timing--we had a hard deadline--and he was always calm, courteous, and reassuring. They delivered exactly when they said they would. We unfortunately could not wait another two weeks for replacement cabinets and had to make these work or it would have cost us more than the cabinets. I paid $1800 for 6 cabinets for the laundry room. I'm so glad I waited to order the kitchen cabinets. I will not order from RTA again. Their quality review at packing is nonexistent.

In each case, the interaction at the store has been easy and friendly, and the problems resolved swiftly. I was frustrated at one point, but it turned out to be my own fault: Rather than calling or dropping by the store, I was sending emails and getting no replies. I later found out that the emails were going to employees that were no longer there. The staff is friendly, and if you drop by the store, the owner will personally greet you and make sure you are happy.
