I was one box short and was desperately searching for the that exact Porcelanosa tile I needed to finish my bathroom project. If you're not familiar with Porcelanosa - the tile gets shipped from Spain and takes 6-8 weeks to arrive. At Porcelanosa they told me they don't have any inventory available and basically left me searching on my own. I contacted Sognare through their website and Joshua quickly responded and offered to help me find it eventhough I didn't even purchase my tile from Sognare! He called his vendor, checked different warehouses, found my tile and made sure it was in good shape. We are from Houston, Texas. While vacationing through Costa Mesa, we decided to stop and see some showrooms to help us get some design inspiration for our upcoming remodel project. We recently bought a 4,300SF house in the Houston, Texas area. The house had good bones but needed a complete overhaul in terms of look/feel! We decided to repaint, gut all the floors, gut the kitchen, and gut all five bathrooms. We knew it was going to be a lot, we had no idea what we were signing up for! We walked into Sognare Tile expecting to see some kitchen and bathroom vignettes, we walked out with a dream team of design, construction, sourcing, and style consultants!! Over the course of the next six months, Ameen, Salima, and Rabia helped us with every facet of our remodel! We were so fortunate to find a vendor willing to take so much interest and investment in our project. They weren't just trying to sell us tiles, stone, etc., they treated our project like their own and went above and beyond we could have ever expected. They helped us with construction, furniture, paint, and checked in with us repeatedly. Despite the fact they were in California, we felt like they were local here in Houston to us! One of the most challenging parts of our remodel was the kitchen. Our kitchen was shaped oddly, dated, and needed a complete overhaul. Ameen is a visionary! He saw a series of videos/pictures of our space, came up with great ideas about closing off some walls, moving other walls, moving plumbing lines, and then showed us beautiful 3D renderings bringing the vision to life! He spent countless hours with us configuring our cabinet layouts and design. His ability to focus on big picture design concepts with us while handling all the many little details like trim pieces, spacers, etc., was so impressive. He also did not simply pass the baton after cabinets were ordered, he checked in frequently, spoke to our contractor directly to work through construction issues that popped up multiple times, and was always available to us even when dealing with issues unrelated to services he provided us. He was a true professional in every sense. In addition to our kitchen cabinets, we also bought vanities for five bathrooms from Sognare. With each bathroom, Ameen carefully walked us through our options, provided us renderings, and helped us make sense of what was best for our space. In some spaces where we were buying cabinets, he told us we should save the money and simply get doors repainted. He was unselfish and helped us maximize our full renovation budget! We shopped quite a bit in Houston before engaging Sognare, we never found anyone here that cared or was invested in our project. The most fun part of our redesign project was working with Salima! Salima is very passionate about what she does, she took such an interest in our project. On our first day walking into Sognare, we spent HOURS with Salima looking at engineered flooring samples until we found the perfect floor for us. After a while, everything started to look the same. Salima helped us focus on what we cared about most and find good value. When we picked something we liked, she showed us an alternative that was substantially more affordable--it was clear she was looking out for us and not trying to just make as much money as possible. We ended that day sharing with her some inspirational pictures and talking to her about what we wanted to accomplish in our foyer, living, kitchen, and all of our bathrooms. She told us to come back the next day and she'd have some ideas for us. We came back the next afternoon and were shocked--Salima had vignettes ready for us for every room with flooring, counters, plumbing, cabinet hardware, design ideas, and even paint samples to consider! We were blown away. We spent the rest of that day refining what she chose for us until we had everything we wanted. We accomplished so much with her over two days, we would have been so lost without her help. Over the next few weeks, we came back home and stayed in touch with Ameen and Salima. We had multiple Zoom calls to discuss changes and additional ideas. When it came time to order product, we assumed ordering from California for a Texas project would cost us a premium. However, we thought it was worth it to have a vendor so invested and helpful. To our surprise, Salima and her assistant Rabia worked tirelessly to help us source local materials from nearby Texas distributors to keep costs down. When we shopped locally to compare pricing, Sognare was somehow always cheaper. Honestly, I was shocked by how competitive their pricing was! We love our home! I am not sure where we would be without the support and investment from Sognare! Our partnership with them is also still ongoing, we have enlisted Salima with interior design!! Sognare Tile may be a small family business, but they carried one of my favorite tile manufacturers, Porcelanosa Tile. We were able to see the sample that we wanted to see in their showroom and they were very timely in ordering our large format tile. I was remodeling the bathroom myself and picked up the tile from their location on two occasions, getting expert help loading the heavy boxes into my SUV. Sognare didn't have a fancy wide open show room like the others in the tile district but don't let the marketing fluff distract you. They have quality products and a great selection. Porcelain tile, hardwood, Vinyl, SPC, WPC etc; flooring can be overwhelming with choices but their knowledgeable staff can help you narrow down your selection. I took my time going back and forth between different flooring and designs but the staff was extremely patient and made sure I was happy with my choice. No pressure at all! In addition to the new flooring project, I was also looking for matching a tile I currently own. I contacted the distributor the tile was last purchased from and they did not have it. I also contacted 5 other places with no luck. Fortunately I checked with Sognare and they had the same exact manufacturer and brand! I ended up buying the tile and was surprised by how great the prices were. I assume their operating cost is lower due to their no frills, straight to the point showroom. They probably pass the cost savings to the consumer. I picked up the tile and it was very effortless. The tile was packed very securely and they had a forklift place it in the truck. My husband and I renovated a 1961 original home. This home needed work, to say the least! We spent months shopping around "tile row" in Anaheim and when you're renovating an entire home (bringing it to the studs) with 4 bathrooms, it's really easy to get overwhelmed with all the options - too many choices, too many colors, too many design opportunities. In my mind, I knew what I wanted our home to look like, but narrowing down the choices was the most daunting part. When we stopped by Sognare, we were warmly greeted by Salima. She and her husband, Ameen, own the shop and immediately you could tell that they stood out from the rest. Salima took the time to get to know us and understand what our renovation project entailed, the timeline we were working with, and even took the time to learn about my design style and preferences. We bought pre-fab quartz countertops from Sognare and just could not be happier with the result! 1. They have great prices and are very good about directing you to the kind of material you want. 2. They know you can't really choose a counter from the sample all of the time. They look SO DIFFERENT in the full size! So, they'll connect you would wholesalers to choose your countertop. We got to choose the *exact* pieces we wanted for our kitchen and they look gorgeous. 3. Their communication is so fast! 4. Their installers are real pros - they are quick, but also so careful and experienced. They were able to offer ideas about placing the seams in our counters that made them less visible, kept them away from fragile places on the counter, and saved us counter material (we had enough extra to do two vanities in our bathrooms!). I first came to Sognare in 12/2022 looking for materials for our kitchen remodel- countertops, sink, and faucet and Josh was able to help procure everything I was looking for- some beautiful dekton, a large 15g stainless steel kitchen sink with accessories, and faucet. When it came to remodeling a guest bathroom in June we got all our major supplies from Sognare- large 30"x60" tiles, vanity, faucet, shower system, toilet. The showroom has a large collection of samples of tile and hardware, but they have access to lots of other options/materials as well that are not on site. We shared our timeline with Josh and he was able to find what we were looking for and have everything ready for our project.
