Today we stopped by hungry goat. We ordered two pulled pork sandwiches and a brisket protein bowl, and a potato salad. To be honest, we were really hungry after hiking Zion NP, so anything other than trail mix would have been a welcomed dinner. We ordered around 6:20, and there was no one else there, probably because they close at 7pm. Service was fast and friendly, but I was a bit disappointed with the brisket bowl: the brisket was fatty and the bowl lacked any fresh ingredients (the "roasted" veggies in the bowl tastes like they came from a can). We ate out on the deck, and you really can't match the views. Glad we fueled up before heading back to our campsite. Overall, a decent meal for what we paid.

We had a long drive coming in, so all we wanted to do was pick up our early dinner and head for the pool at the hotel. The food was amazing! It's about time we got some BBQ in Springdale, UT. I love the location, right near the entrance of Zion, in the heart of the beautiful mountains and scenic views. I got the gluten free Texas Style sauce, but you could rock the Carolina Style (not my jam) or Kansas City sweeter version. The seats are comfortable, outdoor seating, covered and very cute. Great views from the seating area. I wish they had a little more indoor seating as it gets quite hot on the patio depending on the time of the day. We came on the 3rd day they've been selling breakfast, so maybe the dryness is part of the learning curve. We found that the biscuit breakfast sandwich and sausage, egg, potato bowl were very dry. They could both use some sort of sauce (and we aren't saucy people). I'd say an aioli spread for the biscuit and salsa for the bowl. The two gals working gave excellent service, explaining the options. It's a small place, but there's seating inside with A/C or outside is mostly covered (depending on the angle of the sun). There is public parking behind the building with reserved spots for the restaurant. They have some fun merchandise; we liked the goat silhouette shirt with super soft texture the best. Tank tops would be nice for the summer patrons wanting a souvenir from the Zion Nat'l Park area. read more

The Hangry Goat is an excellent and quick eatery. It's like a barbecue Chipotle, with Texas flair as they get their meat from Austin Blue, a Texas based company. It is a little taste of my home state with a Utah-pian twist. The owner and staff are friendly and the food is FANTASTIC! It will really hit the spot after a hike or two in Zion National Park, and it's located dang near right outside the park entrance. They have a breezeway which has a great view of the mountains and an awesomely relaxing breeze running through it, which will put you to sleep after a long day outside. They have country music playing, but it's NOT obnoxiously loud. You can have a nice conversation discussing what you loved about your trip while you eat and let the events of the day soak in. Also, their parking lot is a pay to park area while they're closed in the morning, so once you come out, you're already right where you want to be to eat and relax! WIN WIN! They have shirts and stickers, which are pretty awesome and funny too. I love this place and we will definitely be coming back here next year. Try this place out! You won't regret it! read more

Awesome find for post-hike refuel right outside the Springdale gate of Zion NP. 6 of us had the protein bowls (some w/ chicken, some w/ brisket) over a savory mix of wild rice/quinoa/black beans. Choice of BBQ sauces - the Carolina mustard sauce is terrific on the chicken & as a Carolina native we can attest it is authentic! Setting is great - plenty of shaded outdoor seating for relaxing & people watching. This place is great!!! You won't be sorry you stopped. Service is lovely also - warm & efficient. The "bad" reviews on this site are honestly shocking to me. I've eaten at Hangry Goat a few times now since they opened in April and I am blown away. Views aside, the food is seriously SO GOOD. The Kansas city sauce with the chicken is my favorite, but ive also tried the brisket and pulled pork and they are both really flavorful. They are a "grab n go" place so I can see how people want to compaire them to chains, but the quality of food is something you'd get in a sit down restaurant... if not better. read more

AMAZING place! We stopped in for breakfast three times during our three day stay in Zion, it was that good. Staff was so friendly which really set them apart from others in my opinion. The place was clean and the views were awesome, with indoor and outdoor seating options. We had the sausage egg and cheese bagel and the sausage breakfast bowl, although the sandwiches were our favorite. Cherry on top was the prices were great too. The Hungry Goat was exactly what we needed after a long hike! The food was amazing, especially the beef brisket, which pulled apart so easily and melted in my mouth. The restaurant offers both indoor and outdoor seating, but I definitely recommend sitting outside to enjoy the beautiful canyon views. The perfect place to stop in or out of the park. The most beautiful views and the place is so cute. Employees were so friendly! The food was delicious, highly recommend the sandwiches. The food is 10/10 amazing. We were hungry after a long drive and I wasn't in the mood for anything. Hubby picked this place because it was close. I had the brisket protein bowl and because I don't care for beans minus beans and the veggies (which have beans) and they added a little to make up for it. . Stopped in for lunch and everyone in our group tried something different on the menu. We ALL loved what we picked! The pork and brisket both just melted in our mouths! Service was friendly, they have a cool patio with plenty seating and the parking lot has free 40min parking. It smells incredible when you first walk in and it has window where you can see the view of the mountains it's such a nice vibe. The food came out quick too. read more
