Today we stopped by hungry goat. We ordered two pulled pork sandwiches and a brisket protein bowl, and a potato salad. To be honest, we were really hungry after hiking Zion NP, so anything other than trail mix would have been a welcomed dinner. We ordered around 6:20, and there was no one else there, probably because they close at 7pm. Service was fast and friendly, but I was a bit disappointed with the brisket bowl: the brisket was fatty and the bowl lacked any fresh ingredients (the "roasted" veggies in the bowl tastes like they came from a can). We ate out on the deck, and you really can't match the views. Glad we fueled up before heading back to our campsite. Overall, a decent meal for what we paid.

Great and filling food, got a chicken protein bowl after a hike and it was perfect. My dog loved the brisket and we are happy campers

Don't bother catching this place for breakfast. If BBQ is their thing they should stick with it. Breakfast was tasteless and cold. No toaster or microwave to help. Coffee was too strong. I'm sorry but it's not their thing. read more

I think they named this place Hangry Goat because they wanted you to know that's how you'd feel after eating here. Their protein bowls are so darn small, they should be considered appetizers!!! I ordered the bbq chicken protein bowl. It was the weirdest mix of black beans, rice, quinoa, bbq chicken and bbq sauce . Believe me, when I say it tasted weirder than it sounds. However my BIGGEST issue with this place is the portion size! The bowl is merely an appetizer. The name Hangry Goat implies you will eat here (after a long day of hiking in Zion) and leave full and satisfied. Absolutely not the case. I had four to five bites max of this awkward mix of ingredients after a whole day of hiking in The Narrows, and left starving and unsatisfied. Please find another place to spend your money. read more

Service was not great; Neither was the food. The two young ladies behind the counter didn't seem like they wanted to be there. It felt like I was bothering them by placing an order and that they wanted to get back to chatting with guy friends at one of the tables. We placed orders for a BBQ brisket sandwich and brisket bowl. The brisket in both was dry and bland. The bread was dry, almost like eating soft crackers. Maybe the sandwich could have been saved by masking its dryness with BBQ sauce, but whoever made it only put what looked like a tablespoon of BBQ sauce. Why be stingy with BBQ sauce in such an expensive, tiny sandwich? I was extremely disappointed with the high prices and low quality. I don't mind paying tourist prices for food while on vacation if it's good. This was not good. There is no way that this resto could be successful in a normal location outside of a tourist trap where customers have limited choices in where to eat. In our remaining days at Zion, we ate at other restaurants that were 10 times better with service and food. I recommend going to one of those instead of Hangry Goat. read more

Not bad for a quick bite right after returning from Zion N.P. I got the chicken bbq bowl with a side of Mac and Cheese. The bowl had quinoa instead of rice which I loved since it's better for diabetics. Unfortunately, I believe they served me pork instead of chicken. No big deal it was still good. The Mac and cheese was just ok. Good for a quick nutritional bite. There was a soft serve ice cream store right beside it. I got a plain large vanilla cone. It was $7.50! Good but price gouging. read more

Perfect location, parking was a little bit of an issue for us. But the walk down to the Goat was enjoyable. The protein bowl was delicious! I would have never thought to put all of those ingredients together. The potato salad was also really good, something I normally don't like but try at every place. Our order was filled quickly, so if you're in a rush I recommend coming here for quick service and good flavor! read more

My husband and I decided to go Hangry Goat on our last night in town because we saw it had many 5 star reviews. We have eaten dinner in Springdale all week, and every restaurant we have been has been delicious with very good portion sizes. At Hangry Goat, we ordered 2 brisket bowls - comes with rice/quinoa mixture, black beans and corn, and sauce of choice. $16/bowl. When they handed us our meals, my husband and I couldn't believe how small our bowls were - it looked like a kid's meal. To be fair, the brisket was very tender and delicious with a fair-portion of meat. However, everything else was pretty frustrating. It was about 1/4 cup of rice, and a little over a 1/4 cup of beans which tasted like they were directly from a can. Both my husband and myself had to eat snacks and fruit when we got back to our hotel room to get full (and we've brought home leftovers from every other restaurant this week). We felt jipped by The Hangry Goat. Even the table next to us was joking about the tiny bowls they were given. Honestly though - if they gave larger bowls with more of the rice/bean mixture, I think it would been a lot better experience for us. The bowls we felt tasted good overall with everything in it (with the chipotle ranch on top). It was creative and delicious. It is also in a beautiful location, with great seating, and a very pretty atmosphere! As others have stated in reviews - they are handing out free designer stickers for a review. I think they would have a lot more bad reviews because of portion sizes if it was not for these stickers. read more

The Hangry Goat is located in such a perfect part of town. The views are literally gorgeous. The service is great here - efficient and friendly. The restaurant is modern and sleek. I ordered the pulled pork protein bowl with Texas sauce. The pork was super tender; the sauce was sweet and tangy. I got to try the Carolina sauce which was extremely tasty with a kick. My main critique is that the portion is on the smaller side for the bowl. My boyfriend ordered the brisket sandwhich with chips on the side, it also comes with a pickle. The brisket was delicious. I would say that ordering a sandwhich a better deal if you want your money's worth. Overall, great find and such a convenient place to eat near Zion. read more

Great choice for a lite early dinner or a heartier lunch after hiking in Zion. If you aren't completely exhausted from your day, it is absolutely a reasonable walk from Canyon Village if the bus is taking too long in the afternoon. A good variety of food to satisfy both children (mac 'n cheese) and adults with gluten sensitivity (but not celiac). Might leave those with heartier appetites wanting though. read more

I ordered a couple of dishes I had never tried before, including a steak and chicken crusted with pistachios. The bison steak was especially memorable. The herb butter on top was incredibly delicious and added so much flavor. The food did seem to take some time to come out. The kids ordered the beef sliders and absolutely loved them. We actually had to order a second round because they disappeared so quickly. Everyone working here was friendly and welcoming, and parking was very easy, which is always a plus. Overall, it was a really pleasant dining experience.

The Hangry Goat is an excellent and quick eatery. It's like a barbecue Chipotle, with Texas flair as they get their meat from Austin Blue, a Texas based company. It is a little taste of my home state with a Utah-pian twist. The owner and staff are friendly and the food is FANTASTIC! It will really hit the spot after a hike or two in Zion National Park, and it's located dang near right outside the park entrance. They have a breezeway which has a great view of the mountains and an awesomely relaxing breeze running through it, which will put you to sleep after a long day outside. They have country music playing, but it's NOT obnoxiously loud. You can have a nice conversation discussing what you loved about your trip while you eat and let the events of the day soak in. Also, their parking lot is a pay to park area while they're closed in the morning, so once you come out, you're already right where you want to be to eat and relax! WIN WIN! They have shirts and stickers, which are pretty awesome and funny too. I love this place and we will definitely be coming back here next year. Try this place out! You won't regret it! read more

Awesome find for post-hike refuel right outside the Springdale gate of Zion NP. 6 of us had the protein bowls (some w/ chicken, some w/ brisket) over a savory mix of wild rice/quinoa/black beans. Choice of BBQ sauces - the Carolina mustard sauce is terrific on the chicken & as a Carolina native we can attest it is authentic! Setting is great - plenty of shaded outdoor seating for relaxing & people watching. This place is great!!! You won't be sorry you stopped. Service is lovely also - warm & efficient. The "bad" reviews on this site are honestly shocking to me. I've eaten at Hangry Goat a few times now since they opened in April and I am blown away. Views aside, the food is seriously SO GOOD. The Kansas city sauce with the chicken is my favorite, but ive also tried the brisket and pulled pork and they are both really flavorful. They are a "grab n go" place so I can see how people want to compaire them to chains, but the quality of food is something you'd get in a sit down restaurant... if not better. read more

AMAZING place! We stopped in for breakfast three times during our three day stay in Zion, it was that good. Staff was so friendly which really set them apart from others in my opinion. The place was clean and the views were awesome, with indoor and outdoor seating options. We had the sausage egg and cheese bagel and the sausage breakfast bowl, although the sandwiches were our favorite. Cherry on top was the prices were great too. I hope we can return in the future to try their lunch options! read more

The Hungry Goat was exactly what we needed after a long hike! The food was amazing, especially the beef brisket, which pulled apart so easily and melted in my mouth. The restaurant offers both indoor and outdoor seating, but I definitely recommend sitting outside to enjoy the beautiful canyon views. They also sell fun merchandise inside, and the customer service was top notch. Highly recommend stopping by if you're in the area! read more

The perfect place to stop in or out of the park. The most beautiful views and the place is so cute. Employees were so friendly! The food was delicious, highly recommend the sandwiches. The food is 10/10 amazing. We were hungry after a long drive and I wasn't in the mood for anything. Hubby picked this place because it was close. I had the brisket protein bowl and because I don't care for beans minus beans and the veggies (which have beans) and they added a little to make up for it. . Service was friendly, they have a cool patio with plenty seating and the parking lot has free 40min parking. It smells incredible when you first walk in and it has window where you can see the view of the mountains it's such a nice vibe. The food came out quick too. read more
