I understand and sympathize with the waitresses (3 of whom) who were working as hard as they could, but ", it was one FULL hour after we placed our order before we got served! (Which obviously shows the my need more help in the kitchen!!!! Waitresses cannot serve until the kitchen supplies!!) Hand cut fries ALWAYS get my attention, this time HAND CUT SHOESTRING FRIES!!!! ONCE THEY FINALLY ARRIVED, they were hot & perfect. BURGERS WERE HAND PATTIED & done perfectly!! Our bill for 2 burgers, 1 lrg hand cut fries, & a lrg Blue Moon draft was $17 WITH 20% TIP!! Seat yourself & no crowds on a Friday dinner so no wait. Server was nice & came around enough. Had to ask kitchen on a question we had about menu. The chicken & fish baskets were a good value w/ a mountain of fries (& the good shoestring kind at fairs)! But the other sides were not proportional like my potato salad cup which was about 3 tablespoons & about 1/4 the volume of the fries side. My Turkey Rueben was tasty but wish it had a bit more filling. Side salad was fine & pizza was ok but the crust was interesting like it was gluten free almost. The wife likes a nice cheeseburger and she wanted to give this place a try. Glad we did, the food and service was great. I tried the deep fried green beans and I will definitely get them again. Even the kids liked the food. I try the wings in most places we go and these wings are worthe it. We will be back. read more

We were looking for lunch in Danville and were actually looking for another restaurant we saw on Yelp when we spotted Hangouts. According to a sign on the door, the restaurant has been here since the late 1990's although it looks like it's recently been renovated. Very clean, modern look to the interior. I tried a burger (my usual) and it was very good. The fresh cut fries were also good. My wife opted for a Reuben and said it was good but not one of the better ones she's ever had. She said the corned beef was more like deli corned beef than real sliced corned beef. Our waitress was excellent but there was a bit of a lag between ordering and when our food came out from the kitchen. Overall, excellent service, good food just a little slow. read more

Great American food at a decent price. Just about everything is great. My only complaint is they run out of pie to fast!!

First. The beer was cold! We didn't do a draft so I can't say about that. We had a bottle. Prices are great. Cheeseburger was $7.50! It was very good! I had the buffalo chicken sandwich with mild sauce and it was mild which I like! The chicken was so juicy. We both had the small hand cut fries and they were also delicious. Great spot ..super reasonable..friendly staff..prompt service. Wings are great fried perfectly with no breading..I got hot ones. The sauce was perfect spicy but not too hot. The side of blue cheese was homemade and delicious . Fresh cut fries to share were good but a tad greasy. Mushroom burger was juicy and tasty. Best of all was the frosted mugs of draft beer! Let me start by saying this place really is a spot to hangout. Whether that be for just a beer or for a family dinner. Myself and 2 other veterans are biking across the USA so we decided to stop by here since it's right off the bike trail. We order our food and beers and everyone was friendly and service was great. As we are eating the owner and his wife come over to check on how everything was (I apologize I didn't get their name). We had a conversation about our plan for biking across the States and about their kids who are in the military. After the conversation they went back to check on other people dining and when we went to pay the tab the server said it was already taken care of. We did not expect any of that but are highly appreciative of the owners for their warm welcome and for everything they're doing. We really wish we had the chance to thank them in person but they had already left. Thank you for everything!! Oh and did I mention the food was absolutely delicious. Heard their prime rib dinner every other weekend is great so thought I would give it a shot. Had lunch there today and the food and service was amazing. Started with hot wings for an app, had a blue cheese burger for the entrée and desert was a home made slice of raspberry pie with soft serve vanilla ice cream on top. Go here occasionally ... Went last week. Most likely the last time. Food is typical Bar & Grill...deep fried and OK not great. Service was terrible. This was no fault of the waitresses .... They were running their butts off. But we were sitting in bar area and could see into kitchen area....the cook was preparing food for ONLY ONE table at a time!! My wife and I go out a lot and have visited many restaurants across the US, this is the very first time I ever encountered such a MISmanaged kitchen. When I say preparing ONE table at a time - I mean even starting with the salads and appetizers !! I am giving 2 stars only because of the waitresses performance. They do have GREAT pizza - but you must eat it there or it will be too soggy if you take home, and we only live 12 miles away. One of our favorite places to go on Friday nights. Good hamburgers and wings. Love the house dressing on a salad as well. They have improved the wait time for food dramatically which has brought us back more often. It can be a little loud at times but usually someone having fun. With the recent new ownership, we are really enjoying the Hangout. My favorite item is the fishtail sandwich and we also love the wings. The atmosphere is friendly and the wait staff is excellent, and we love seeing the owner on-site talking to the customers. read more
