As I pulled into my hotel across the street, I saw The Forum and wondered how it was. In a sea of chain restaurants, I was glad to see there was one that wasn't familiar to me. And, as I was checking in, the hotel desk clerk recommended to me. I ordered the steak salad. It was so good & so unusual. Fresh spring mixed lettuce, cucumber, lots of cheese, a healthy portion of steak, mandarin oranges and, to top it off, nice, big onion rings. The service was good as well. Interior decor and furniture is very dated. It's the type of design you'd see in a 2000s Kitchen Nightmares episode. The service was average, nothing bad to say about the staff, they didn't go above and beyond but they also were by no means bad. The food though. Woof. Everyone has always said "Gotta go to the Forum! It's so good!" Noooo. Don't get me wrong I ate my chicken bacon wrap, and it was maybe a 4/10. I wasn't very impressed by it especially for the price. My SO had Alfredo and she was not a fan. I tried her dish, it was ehh.. it was edible all right but it was very disappointing in flavor especially since it's a Greek themed restaurant. Bathrooms were also a bit messy, paper towels everywhere, overflowing trash can. From what I gathered it also seems like staff use the public bathrooms too, makes sense given the size of the building. Generally I have no issue with staff using the same restroom but my point is that they saw the state of it and chose not to clean or rectify it. I visited the Forum recently with family. Upon arrival, we had a short wait for a table. A little while later our waitress arrived and took our drink requests. On this visit, I saw prime rib on the menu. I looked around a little more, but then decided to go with prime rib. In a reasonable amount of time, the food was delivered. My prime rib was tasty. It was a little thin, but still tasty. My veggies weren't all that great. My mom said her chicken parm was just okay. Overall, the food is about average. read more

Off the I-70, and checked into the Quality Inn overlooking Cambridge, OH, Terrie at the front desk mentioned that if she were off right now, she'd be down the hill at the Forum enjoying Greek food. My favorite was how everyone around me too enjoyed their food, and when I came back for dinner later in the day - my fellow diners were acting like it was their dinner table. A nice surprise to encounter during our travels. The interior is clean and has a 'Forum' decor with pictures and faux plaster all around. Really interesting. The chairs and banquettes were all very clean as well. Our server was super friendly and efficient throughout the lunch meal. We ordered the cobb salad and a Reuben sandwich with fries and they even split them all up in the kitchen rather than make us do it at the table. Truly appreciate that! The waitress was friendly and attentive. I had the marinated chicken. My husband had the Authentic Greek salad. Wow! We were traveling out east from the Midwest for the holidays and stopped in Cambridge. The Forum was close to our hotel. So glad we discovered it. It was sensational! It was very busy when we arrived on Friday night, so we had to wait a little bit. So worth the wait. Our waitress was friendly. We started with the Saganaki. It was served with fried pita bread and was so good. I highly recommend this dish. My parents had never tried it, but they are now fans of flaming cheese! We each ordered a different entree (fajitas, Italian combo, Philly steak sandwich, and salmon) and all four of us loved our dishes plus the breadsticks were soft and chewy. I really enjoyed my dinner at The Forum while traveling through Cambridge, Ohio. I recommend driving around the older area of Cambridge before dining at The Forum. There are a lot of historic houses in Cambridge that are quite beautiful. The Forum is also within walking from several hotels. I shared a dinner of French onion soup and an angus hamburger with French fries. In all of my years of dining out and sharing food, the server usually brings an extra plate for us to split it up. Our server was so kind and split the hamburger for us including the French fries and the toppings. The service and food were excellent and I will definitely return. Also. You know, sometimes life is just meant to be enjoyed. The same thing goes through at the forum restaurant which was established in 1995 in Cambridge, Ohio. My wife and I stopped here for lunch as we were embarking on a road trip to Fayetteville West Virginia. We learned that this is one of the hundred best places to eat in all of Ohio, and it did not disappoint! I ordered the Gyro, which was a specialty item from the menu and my wife ordered the grilled chicken which was also ironically enough another specialty item. My Gyro is fantastic. I did not let my wife eat any of it because I was so hungry and it melted inside my mouth. Likewise, my wife's chicken was so fantastic. She would not let me sample a bite. After I smashed my Gyro, I lifted my fork and a very sly manner and tried to slide it across the table to snag a piece. I do not recommend this restaurant. As soon as I walked in I knew something was wrong. No Greek in sight it was mostly high school kids working all Caucasian. You can't even call what I ordered a gyro! It was low quality and gross. They buy all their products from GFS and it's all frozen premade food. If you've ever been to a bigger city, where you tasted a real gyro you would be disgusted by this one. My suggestion is to keep on driving by this place. We met my siblings here, a general halfway spot between Pgh and Cbus. They were really accommodating, setting us up with a private spot at the bar where we could visit for hours, as a party of 12. The service was excellent, and the food was exceptional and unique, from the Buffalo chicken wraps to the interesting salads. Having passed by this place 100 times over the years I finally decided to stop in. This area was always a stop between Columbus & Pittsburgh. Decided to meet my family here for Mother's Day and we all left pleasantly surprised. We arrived and were told it would be a 40 minute wait. It was more like 5 minutes. This is the worst food I have ever had at a restaurant. It was mix between school cafeteria and prison food. I got what was supposed to be marinated lemon chicken. It looked like the food that comes with one of those kids kitchen. Not a smidge of lemon taste. Came with potato that like a juice to it. I have made baked potatoes and they are not juicy. We were visiting the area to see the Dicken's Christmas and courthouse lights. During our last trip we stayed near this place but went elsewhere in our travels so decided to give this highly recommended spot. It was nice inside and very inviting, with a friendly staff. The menu was a little overwhelming but we automatically started with the flaming saganaki, I suggest everyone try. We've had it at a place near our house and this one was SOOOO much better. It's set on fire tableside and lemon added to diminish the flames, served with warm pita chips. We both ordered the lemon chicken soup which was also delicious. They have a mixture of steak, pastas, sandwiches, greek/italian. I wish I would have ordered the famous chicken fingers but I went healthier with the marinated chicken breast that had a lot of flavor. My husband had the sampler and the chicken parm was grilled which at first we thought weird but he said he would go back just for that as well as the lasagna. The spaghetti sauce was little too chunky for his taste. The only thing we missed out on was dessert. I did not see a menu nor did our server offer. read more

A nice place with plenty of parking. Got seated fairly quickly on a weekend night. The place was full which is always a good sign. Bread sticks with butter were served. Fairly diverse menu with salads, pasta, steaks, burgers. Was told the chicken fingers were a hot item. Ended up getting the seafood parisian with a side salad. The side salad greek dressing was good. Tomato, onion, croutons, iceberg lettuce, and I swear there was either Daikon, parsnip, or kohlrabi in it. I was so disappointed in my seafood pasta. It was supposed to have a white wine cream sauce but honestly it seemed more like a thick alfredo. It had zero flavor other than fish. Like fishy fish. I couldn't eat it, it made me gag and I like fish. Fortunately the side salad was filling. The steak salad had mixed greens in it, the steak was cooked right but it was cold and loaded with cheese. Driving back and we stopped off in Cambridge to grab a bite for lunch. We were greeted and sat right away. We had a few questions about gluten free options and our waitress answered many of them and verified with the kitchen on the last about if they had gluten free buns and yes, this day they did. My mom being a big Elvis Presley fan had to get "The King of Pork Chops", and enjoy them she did. I enjoyed my steak. Very tender and it had a char resembling a outdoor barbeque flavor. The gyro was HUGE, so my dad didn't finish it all at lunch, but I'm sure will tonight or tomorrow! My brother was a bit let down by the Philly sandwich. Not as much flavor as he had hoped for. Everyone had fries and those were and excellent side. A great crisp and crunch to them. An overall solid meal. Very good portions. The service is great. The food comes out in a timely manner.
