Their staff is great (lots of smiles and a willingness to accommodate). Shout out to going above and beyond. My wife and I were checking out of our room (Salt Fork Lodge) and we were going to miss the 11 o'clock cut off to get breakfast. I called and they were willing to make our sandwiches as close to 11 as possible and then just keep them warm for us. We got there around 11:15 and the sandwiches were ready. They were still hot and we really enjoyed our breakfast. We had lunch the day before and their sandwiches are top notch. Not a huge menu but what they do offer and provide is 10 out of 10. The cafe also has a cute little gift-shop with it and it is attached to an Amish grocery store. Worked out perfect for us to pick up a few of our favorite things we can only find from the Amish as well as enjoy a meal. Don't blink or you will fly by Route 22 Cafe...it is worth slowing down for and checking out.

Highly recommend this place and will definitely be going again next time we are in town.

After placing my order the priced jumped to $8.59 and I didn't didn't order anything extra. I went into the store and they said they couldn't give me the difference back and that only the owner can do that. I gave my name and number and waited for my sandwich. The cashier charged me a second time stating that the owner would refund the full amount. Cashier said price of my sandwich is $8.59. I told her that their app said all sandwiches were $6.99 and pulled out my phone and showed her the proof on their app. I was told it was a mistake. By this time I was fed up with all the BS, paid the price and asked the cashier to ask the owner to call me back in 2 days. Never heard from the owner even after leaving 2 more msgs. To top it all off my tuna sandwich had less tuna and had hardly any mayo in the tuna. Bland and dry. I would NOT recommend this Subway in Caldwell, OH And I will take to social media to make sure everybody knows about the sh*t that they pulled and how the owner doesn't care about their customers.

Sure, I'd be glad to leave a review!…read more As I was walking along the street, I looked up and there was a restaurant, and it was open on a Monday. Since I was hungry, it just seemed natural that I follow my feet and find a seat. My waitress got my drink request and left a menu in my hands. Before I had a chance to really look over the menu, she told me about today's special, a chicken sandwich with soup or vegetable medley. It sounded good to me. I got the sandwich with minimal sauces and I opted for the vegetable medley, since they were out of soup (3pm). They close today at 4 pm, so it was no biggie. The vegetable medley was swimming in Italian dressing and was absolutely delicious. Once the sandwich came out, it looked like it had been in a fight back in the alley, but honestly, the bun was steamed and the chicken was cooked to perfection. Okay, my meal didn't last long, but I wasn't done eating. So I ordered fried mushrooms and they didn't last long, either. I guess I was more hungry than I thought! I finally settled for dessert - Dutch Apple pie. I would not hesitate to dine here again. I was treated like I was the only customer in the place. Service was excellent, the food was good, prices were what I expected. I recommend!
