Had an extremely pleasant dining experience, highly recommend the western omelette!! Make sure to try the house made seasoning salt on the PILE of yummy hash browns that come with it! Great service, exceptional food, thank you read more

Great spot not far off I70. Small town diner atmosphere. Great breakfast and friendly service.

We stopped in at Scott's Diner on a Sunday on our way home from Columbus. Cute little family run diner offering home cooked goodness. We were able to find a seat at the counter amongst all the regular locals. My phone did not eat first at this place. I was too hungry I had to dig in once my food arrived! I got the French toast with a side of scrambled eggs and my husband got their classic breakfast. Wow. Although the selections were your average diner fair, everything was fresh and cooked to perfection. I think it might have been some of the best French toast I've ever had. Crispy edges and soft almost custard like center. I didn't think I was going to be able to finish but I indeed did. The hospitality mixed with great breakfast made this a wonderful stop. read more

1 star is generous as this place was a huge disappointment. First disappointment was the menu prices. Absolutely ridiculous prices for small town Ohio!! $20 for two very small fried eggs, 2 small chewy pieces of bacon, and a plate overflowing with soggy hashbrowns with no seasoning, and definitely not crisp! Comes with toast, which was fair. Won't be returning. Brought home the majority of hashbrowns and toast with hopes to jazz them up and try to get our money's worth. Also, very cramped seating situation. Breakfast shouldn't be as expensive as dinner! read more

Scott's diner was very clean. Extremely welcoming! Excellent food that was beautifully plated.

Scott's Diner is the bomb! If I was running my own diner it would be a lot like Scott's - Clean, Neat, Friendly service, Great food with big portions! Menu pricing on point for the quality and experience. Hash browns for days! The meat Omelette was delicious and sour dough bread toast Scott's is in a small town but a big win for breakfast! Grabbed some of their house seasoning to bring home Keep it up happy customer read more

If you love drinking the kool aid, you will love this seriously overpriced place. Oh if only mediocre tasteless hash browns covering the medium sized plate could make up for being stingy with the eggs and below standard bacon. Chef Ramsey would not let this red herring go. read more

Be sure to check the website for the current food prices...we were shocked that biscuits and sausage gravy with hash browns was 19.99 Definitely not worth the price..the portion was large ..hash browns were frozen no flavor...brown gravy had a good flavor..no sausage. Staff was friendly and ambience was diner like. read more

I've been going here for a while now and I wanted to let everyone know how good it is. They serve great lunch and breakfast. Some of there best foods are there Mac and cheese there mushroom Swiss and there pancakes. The people are super nice and the place is well decorated to look like an old dinner. The place is also one of the cleanest restaurants I've been in as well as the quietest. 10/10 would go to again (though I would stay away from the Rubin, unless you are very manly or a cat) read more

I was in town visiting my alma mater #GoMuskies and stopped by for lunch. I love the food here and the very friendly and attentive staff. I had the carnivore (meat lover's) omelette and hashbrowns and rye toast. The breakfast for lunch hit the spot. The generous portions filled me up so much that I'm going to have a light dinner tonight. I'm glad this restaurant continues to do well. Hopefully the next time I'm able to eat here is sooner rather than later. read more

Wonderful little place! My boyfriend and I were driving home from camping at Salt Fork State Park and I wanted to find somewhere off the beaten path to have breakfast. This was the perfect pick! While the diner is small, we were able to be seated at the bar almost immediately when a couple was kind enough to vacate their spot as they had finished eating. We witnessed the same kindness as other diners entered the restaurant anticipating a wait, when a couple seated at a table moved to two open spaces at the bar to make room for the larger party. The service was amazing, there were a couple of super attentive and friendly ladies working the counter and checking in with us. We ordered the full blueberry stack of pancakes and the classic breakfast, and we were surprised by how big the pancakes were (dinner plate sized!!) and the large portion of hashbrowns. The blueberry compote on top of these pancakes was to die for. I also enjoyed the display of children's books, puzzles, and candles in the back of the diner, which I only browsed for a few minutes as our meal came out quickly after we ordered. The diner is right up the road from Muskingum University where my sister went to college, so it was nice to drive around and experience a bit of nostalgia for our fun times together there. I would absolutely recommend this quaint, sweet spot for a delicious breakfast and impeccable service. read more

Location: 41 E Main St, New Concord, OH 43762 Website: https://scottsdiner.com/ Menu: see website Hours: see website Parking: plenty of free lot parking and street parking available. Scott's Diner is worth your morning. Hands-down, the ultimate diner experience. This restaurant is open until 2 PM daily for breakfast and lunch. It is small - so plan accordingly but you will not be disappointed. 5-star service, food, and experience is awarded to this small diner we were lucky enough to find on our way through John Glenn country (Ohio). It is a small but immaculately clean restaurant. How small? Pretty small. Inside there are 5 tables, some counter seating, and 3 picnic tables outside to suit your preference. This is an impeccably well-run diner. One cook. One wait staff for front of house. We watched this duo handle the multiple orders on a busy Friday lunch hour with efficient and friendly ease. The food is marvelous. The service is even better. We had the BELT and a Reuben sandwich with their famous fried potato wedges. I was fortunate enough to have a companion willing to share; so I scored half of each version. I worked through a case of FOMO for not ordering breakfast, but was very happy with the sandwich (es). This is an outstanding diner! read more

My wife and I were on our weekly outing - this week we were in the New Concord area to visit the John and Annie Glenn Museum and the National Road/Zane Grey Museum. As usual, I consulted Yelp to find a "local, non-chain" eatery for lunch. My fellow Yelpers gave Scott's Diner a 5-star rating which was enough to convince me to "give it a try". I was not disappointed. This is a small diner, right on the main street of New Concord and only a short distance from the John and Annie Glenn Museum. I tried their chii cheeseburger which is listed on the menu as one of their specialities. It was one of the top 2 or 3 chili cheeseburgers I've ever had. It starts with a grilled chesse on Texas toast, topped with the burger and smothered with red chili and diced onions. It was delicious. It comes with "diner fries" which are an excellent version of steak fries - better than most steak fries. My wife had the mushroom, onion and swiss burger. It also came with diner fries and was also excellent. For breakfast lovers - breakfast is served all day. NOTE - all day is unitl 2pm since this is a breakfast/lunch place. The service was excellent. I rarely find restaurants deserving a 5-star rating but this diner is definitely a 5-star destination in my mind. read more

Food was good but portion size was ridiculously huge. I would have much rather paid half the price for half the amount of food. We all had take away boxes from breakfast. If we come back we will definitely share an entree rather than order one each. read more

Heading to Columbus for a soccer game (Chelsea v Man City) & I wanted to stop for brunch along the way from our hotel in Washington PA. I chose Scott's Diner because of the reviews. We weren't disappointed. The staff are super friendly and we got the experience we were hoping for, a cozy small town Diner with great food and great service with a welcoming atmosphere. The bacon is delicious, I would recommend asking for the hash browns extra crispy and order a side of their deliciously thick sausage gravy to smother over the top! My son had the blueberry pancakes and I'm not much of a pancake fan but they smelled so good that I tried some and they were delicious. The coffee is good & fresh too. read more

Food was good. Portions were huge. Prices were surprisingly a little higher than expected for the area and that fact that it is diner food.

HORRIBLE HORRIBLE TASTING FOOD ! WAYYYYYYY OVER PRICED. SAT AND SEEN THE ENTIRE $20 sandwich not touched sitting there didn't try to make it better or see what they could do just laid the bill down and said here's your over priced bill. Put salad mix with pieces of carrot and radish on my blt . Hair in the kids food . COULD CLEARLY SEE I WAS COMPLETELY UNHAPPY BUT WENT AROUND THE ROOM TO THE REGULARS AND MADE SURE THEIR FOOD WAS GOOD YET WHILE GAF ABOUT OURS BEING RANDOM CUSTOMERS. $60 bill for chicken strips/fries/salad 1 pancake 2 strips or bacon and a blt with cold hashbrowns. Will never ever ever ever go there again. Waste of time , money and completely disregarded as customers. read more

We were passing through on a Saturday morning and found this place on Yelp. What a gem. There were five of us. We were seated right away. The coffee was free flowing. We never had an empty cup. The breakfasts are huge. I had the chili cheese omelette and it was just how I had envisioned..lots of cheese inside and a splash of chili on top. It came with a huge mound of hash browns, that were nice and crispy, and a side of toast. It is very clean and the staff is friendly. I recommend and Would come back. read more

This place was an amazing surprise!!! During Covid, a lot of my family and I's travel plans have changed so we decided to (as safely as possible) check out some of the small towns around Ohio. Getting up at 7am, we needed to get some breakfast on our way to Cambridge and we happened to drive by Scott's Diner; right down the street from John Glenn's museum. And let me tell you, this place delivered! The inside is definitely smaller with about 6 tables and a counter to sit. There are a lot 3 or 4 picnic tables outside that would be nice to sit at on a warm day. As soon as we sat down, we felt like we have know the staff for ages. I can't recall our waiter's name, but he was super friendly and listened to my mother's difficult dietary restrictions. I ordered the chili omelette because on the menu, it stated there chili is award winning. And honestly, I could see why. It tasted just like my granny's recipe and everyone knows that grandma's have the best cooking. The hash brown took up half the plate and the bacon was crispy just like I like. All and all, my meal was only $10ish and I was full well into the late afternoon. Don't pass this place up if driving through or touring the college across the street. You won't regret it! read more

While the food is good, how in the world is it an "oldie time diner" as some have said with these exorbitant prices??? 3 people for breakfast should not be $60 bucks....most items on the menu are $17.99+, no omelet or burger at a home town diner should be highway robbery as such and $3.99 for a cup of joe. NYCity diners are cheaper and better in Manhattan....used to go here in the past and it was slightly high, yet reasonable....i wonder if there are new owners or a new biz plan, but I will never return. read more

Needing something to eat and not seeing many options in town, we swung in here. It seems like it would be an old diner, but it is brand new. Lots of diner basics on the menu, plus some interesting options. I wanted one of everything. Brisket gyros were a special, so of course I had to get one. It was very, very good. Tender brisket, flavorful, in a fresh pita bread with decent veggies. Sided with a few big fries, I inhaled it. Sweetie got pancakes, also very good, and a big portion. I followed with another special, blueberry cream pie. It was... okay. Not many berries, not particularly outstanding- though not bad, I just had high expectations. Service was great- friendly, prompt, not intrusive. Prices were a bit high, though the quality and portions were up there so I wasn't upset. It's a little place, but with plenty of tables, and a nice, bright atmosphere. We would definitely be here too often if we lived nearby. read more
