Breakfast bowl.
Crystal Z.

Very decent. It was extremely busy when we were there on a Saturday morning and the servers were bussing their own tables. Seemed understaffed, had to ask for coffee- which presently- I understand given the situation many restaurants are finding themselves in. I had the breakfast bowl, it was good and well seasoned- could have done with just a sprinkle of cheese instead of entire layer. The monkey bread was good- however, obviously microwaved. My husband had an omelet that liked very good. Prices are reasonable.

I LOVE THIS PLACE!! I can't recommend it enough. It has cheap prices, great dinner food, amazing atmosphere. I wish there was this diner everywhere. I ordered the breakfast bowl and was not disappointed. It was massive, I couldn't finish it. It was wonderful. Perfect homemade, greasy, comfort breakfast food. Instant good mood. Please go here and support this business over a chain.

Monkey bread - oops! We ate it so quickly, because it was so delicious, this is what was left!

I was down in Athens for Dad's weekend at Ohio U. Found Gigi's on Yelp and took my 2 college kids (freshman and a junior) to try it out. Neat diner about 10-12 min outside of town. While we had to wait a bit, the food was sooooo worth it! It was our sever's birthday, and she was actually wearing a Happy Birthday sash. I ordered French Toast, my son ordered Chocolate Chip Pancakes, and my daughter ordered a Chicken sandwich. We also ordered a bowl of Monkey bread for all 3 of us to share. All food was enjoyed and devoured. Towards the end of the meal our server was serenaded by the whole restaurant and given a cupcake 4 her birthday. Pretty cool. I would recommend the food and the experience!!

What a fun find. We were passing through and craving brunch. I kept telling the hubby to look for an IHOP, but I was far better pleased with what we found at Gigi's. It was packed on this Sunday morning. However, we waited maybe 15 minutes for a booth. The prices are beyond reasonable, which you can see from the attached menu pictures. My eggs were cooked perfectly and the pancake with chocolate chips was a great impulse addition. Our total, between the two of us, came to $20. It was a steal. And it hit the spot. For the friendly service, local business, and delicious food, it is worth a stop. A little off the beaten road, but easy enough to find.

We were looking for a new breakfast place and I'm pretty sure we found it! This restaurant isn't too far from Logan and is easy to get to. The restaurant has a very small town feel with country cooking. The staff there was very nice and even gave our little girl a yogurt while we waited on our food. Everything came out correct, hot, and fast! You are getting a lot of food for a very, very fair price! The down in the farm was great and the gray is a peppered gravy with a little spice. My wife ordered the breakfast bowl which was more than she could handle but she enjoyed every bit. We were able to sit outside but plenty of room inside. The only negative thing I would say is parking is a little tight and not too many spaces. I am very happy we tried Gigi's and will be making this a usual Saturday or Sunday breakfast spot.

This may be really the only negative part of the visit, they sat us basically right outside thr bathroom area and the odor of bathroom cleaners kinda tainted the experience... Drinks came promptly. I tried Mississippi madness. Husband ordered the smore stuff pancakes. Daughter ordered off the kiddo menu, which I really liked the "can I have a snack" you order 3 of the items listed so she got exactly what she wanted! First off, pancakes were delicious. Though, be warmed they are very thick and dense. Husband ate onr and took the other half home and finished it later. The Mississippi madness was good, wish I had some franks hot sauce to go with. I would definitely come back to try their milk shakes or diety sodas.. and definitely not sit by the bathroom

Saturday morning, in a college town, on Parents Weekend. I expected a wait of an hour or more. When we checked in at the hostess counter every seat in the small old school chrome diner was full. We waited for exactly 8 minutes before getting a table for 3. Don't get me wrong, it was a small table in a tight dining room, but it was perfect. The menu is small but they have almost everything I could hace possibly wanted, with the exception of ham. Meat option were bacon, sausage or chorizo. So some breakfast items had southwestern flair, but I kind of wanted a western omelet. Instead I had the "Sloppy Seconds"-- 2 eggs, meat, potatoes and toast. My kid had the special pancake topped with apples and the other kid had a really excellent looking plate of chicken and waffles. All the food looked-- and tasted-- really good. The portion size was perfect. Our server refilled my coffee twice and my kids' sodas at least that many times. He was exceptionally friendly and didn't rush us through our meal. I recommend checking out the murals in the ladies' room. Very cool.

Pretty good! Didn't blow my mind but was a nice spot to get some breakfast while visiting Athens…read more The savory food was okay. Expensive ($16 for toast with cheese and mushrooms) and underwhelming but not bad by any means, and $9 for a bagel with egg and cheese. We got the caprini toast and it didn't have the micro greens as it says on the menu, but no biggie. The bagel with egg and cheese was very bland, and it is a square of scrambled egg, not a fried egg. The baked goods were fantastic! The sticky date cake is crazy good! It weighs a million pounds and is so thick and just the perfect texture. We also got the lemon yogurt cookie which was soft and tangy, 10/10. They have a cool little retail space for various alcohols, non-alcoholic beverages, food, tea etc. I was happy to buy some local loose leaf tea, and there were a ton to choose from! Service was fine. The person who took our order was friendly, the food took a lot longer than expected but we had time to kill so it didn't bother us. I'd go back if I visit Athens again, I'd love to try the soup!

The vibes are perfect: Mexican but more modern, comfortable, and fun. I could tell everyone there was there cause they loved the food and the employees all had smiles on their faces. We were seated quickly and order the guac sampler to start our meals with our house margaritas. The house margs were great and automatically came with salt around the rim, which I loved. With the guac sampler, we got the black bean and ranchera salsa. I like the ranchera, but the real stars were the black bean salsa and their guac. The black bean salsa is not a traditional chunky black bean dip, it is smooth with many complex flavors. The guac also was very well balanced and the avocados were so fresh. Each of us was given our own chip baskets and went to town on these dips. For the main, my friend recommended me the Albany clucker quesadilla. That is a chicken quesadilla that comes with onions and bell peppers. The quesadillas are a good size, come out full of cheese and fillings, and are served with your choice of salsa. I tried the seasonal salsa, which was dark, smooth, and smokey. It went so well with the quesadilla! Both of us ate about half our meals and left feeling full, which plenty of food for another meal later. I will be coming back any time I come back to town. The vibes are good, the food is better, and the prices are very reasonable compared to other modern Mexican restaurants around. If you need a good spot for dinner or drinks, I highly recommend here. It makes me wish I lived closer.
