Since I was hungry, it just seemed natural that I follow my feet and find a seat. My waitress got my drink request and left a menu in my hands. Before I had a chance to really look over the menu, she told me about today's special, a chicken sandwich with soup or vegetable medley. It sounded good to me. I got the sandwich with minimal sauces and I opted for the vegetable medley, since they were out of soup (3pm). They close today at 4 pm, so it was no biggie. The vegetable medley was swimming in Italian dressing and was absolutely delicious. Once the sandwich came out, it looked like it had been in a fight back in the alley, but honestly, the bun was steamed and the chicken was cooked to perfection. Okay, my meal didn't last long, but I wasn't done eating. So I ordered fried mushrooms and they didn't last long, either. I guess I was more hungry than I thought! I finally settled for dessert - Dutch Apple pie. I would not hesitate to dine here again. I was treated like I was the only customer in the place.
