Marcie was super friendly, warm, attentive and personable. My husband ordered the campfire chicken, (?) 1/4 chicken with potatoes, corn on the cob, carrots and cherry tomatoes cooked in foil. "It tasted amazing, meat extremely tender and falling off the bone, seasoning was light and tasty and the carrots were so good, they were the highlight." I got my usual chicken and dumplin's with fried apples. Always good comfort food. Of course we had biscuits and corn muffins, and sweet tea. The biscuits/ muffins were served in a bread basket, a little fancier than previously done lol (assuming it's corporate vs a local thing). Of course no trip to CB would be complete without checking out the candy section as well as the various displays of holiday ( Halloween, Thanksgiving and post July Fourth stuff currently), as well as beach, autumn, lake stuff, etc). Won't lie, lunch and our purchases exceeded $140.... :) Thank you again, Marcie, you were fantastic!!!

For lunch I ordered the Grilled Chicken Tenderloins, Dumplins, Hashbrown Casserole, & Biscuits. Store layout is the same with the country store with anything and everything as you walk in/out and the dining area to the left, with restrooms in the back. Always fun to look around the store too after you eat. I had to fight the impulse to buy stuff that was cute but I did not need. Not a super big fan of Cracker Barrel over the years but it holds some positive nostalgia and brings back some good memories.

We were in from out of state, and decided to meet up with family for Denny's for our Christmas…read moredinner. First off, I called Denny's in Cambridge, from my home state of Virginia to see if they would be open for the holidays. I received an automated message that basically said, "Thank you for calling your Cambridge Denny's! Spend the holidays with us! We're open 365 days a year, 24 hours a day, including Thanksgiving Day, Christmas, and New Year's". With that message, our family of 14 planned to dine at Denny's on Christmas Day. Just days before leaving town, I called to inquire about 'call ahead seating' or reservations. I listened to the automated message again, and got an employee on the phone who informed me that they didn't do reservations, and they closed on Christmas Eve at 6pm, and opened on Christmas Day at 4pm. That isn't a problem, but they really need to change their automated message. Had I not called to inquire about reservations, and spoke to an employee, we could have very well showed up much earlier, only to find the doors locked. In fact, when we arrived at 3:30pm, we sat in the car knowing we'd have a 30 minute wait, but we did see very confused crowds lining up at the door, trying the door, and knocking on the doors quite perplexed. Honestly, I hadn't expected Denny's in Cambridge to be so busy on Christmas Day, but the parking lot was full. Like I said, there were 14 of us, and although we weren't the first in line, we did manage to all sit together. Service was great, and I give high kudos to both the wait staff and the cooks (my husband and I split a breakfast platter that was made perfectly!). My stepdaughter ordered mozzarella cheese sticks and something else, but really enjoyed them! My sister in law and brother in law had nachos that looked very unappetizing, but I think overall, most were very happy with their food and service. Great job Denny's! But please update your automated message to reflect accurate hours.

I absolutely LOVE the steak breakfast crunch wrap meal. So yesterday, I ordered online before leaving home shortly after 7 am so I could pick it up on my way to work. When I arrived at the restaurant and approached the front doors, an employee ran out and told me they were closed! I asked, "How can you be closed? I just placed an order online!" She hesitated before finally telling me she had "accidentally" slept in that morning and not everything was ready. She explained I would need to wait approximately 20-25 minutes until eggs were ready to complete my order. I informed her that was not possible, nor acceptable, and I would just like my money refunded. she explained online orders could not be refunded in store but instead must be completed through the app. I said that didn't work either! Since eggs were the only item keeping my order from being completed, I asked if they could complete the order minus the eggs. She said that would not be a problem! (This was the second time in less than a week a lack of eggs had held up my order at this store!) As I entered the store, I had to dodge toys and blankets as the restaurant resembled a day care center with two kids playing on the floor. Just not what I expected, but again, the store was technically "closed" at that point! (7:28 am) I finally got my order which tasted great! To be honest, Taco Bell eggs lack taste and are nothing more than protein filler for their quesadillas and crunch wraps! I thanked the lady for getting my order ready. Inside the bag, I found five vouchers for a free taco as compensation for my inconvenience! A surprise ending to a rocky start to breakfast!

I went with the Mexi latte. There was no line at all and our drinks were ready within 3-5 minutes. The drive-thru wasn't too narrow and was easy to navigate. The price was as expected for a medium sized coffee drink, but the presentation was adorable. Both came with whipped cream and were topped with a chocolate covered espresso bean. The Mexi tasted like a cross between chocolate milk with cinnamon and a snickerdoodle. Though tasty, I didn't really get any coffee flavor, which was a little disappointing. I saw cookies on the menu, asked the flavors, and went with chocolate chip. I didn't realize they were prepackaged. The cookie was good, but a little dry. Definitely packed with chocolate, though.

Lots of drink options, hot and cold. I got a Carmel something or other. My wife ordered a coffee as well. Both coffees came with a complimentary covered coffee bean...man, that little gem was worth the stop. Those tasted amazing. We determined the coffee was just ok...nothing spectacular BUT the service and the smiles we received were worth the stop. Definitely worth a stop if you are in the area. Forgot to snap a pic of our coffee with the bean on top.
