Home Made Pies out the wazzoo & a caramel/apple/waffle desert that was absolutely amazing. (not canned apples, fyi) Big fluffy omelets for all of us were very much enjoyed. Great prices! We wanted a sit down restaurant after driving for a few hours and decided to give this place a try. The prices were reasonable and you could order breakfast or lunch. They had several kids meals to choose from. We tried French toast, mini corn dogs, burger, chicken Philly and the waffles. They even had a salad bar you could add for an additional price. Overall I felt the food was good but the portion sizes were inconsistent. One meal was more than filling and other meals left you still hungry. We just shared what we had left and everyone ended up happy. They also have the best croutons ever on a salad bar! read more

Went here today for lunch and already can't wait to go back! I got the chuck wagon (a deep fried cheeseburger) and added bacon and it was AMAZING. my boyfriend had the pork tenderloin sandwich which was also very good. We were way too full to try the pie for dessert but did have some yummy milkshakes! Service was very quick and friendly. read more

Went here for lunch while on a work trip and was very pleased! I will say first of all, they are clearly known for their homemade pies. If you are only going to get one thing, go for the pies. This is definitely a local spot where they know their frequent customers by name. The restaurant was very busy during lunch hours so the service was a bit slow but we were not in a rush. Everyone working there was working hard and very friendly. I also orders the crispy chicken in a wrap. It was simple but did the trick! Next time I might try a BLT. read more

Patty's Place is the first restaurant that has EVER gotten my rare steak perfect.. EVER. This is a small mom & pop place that is apparently very popular with the locals because the staff seemed to know everyone by name. Our server was great, wonderful personality & attentive but not hovering ( also rare to find these days). Hubs had marinated pork loin special, also delicious he said. We both loved the crust on the Butterscotch Pie. We will definitely return next time we are in town!! read more

I know it's a small town without many options, but this is not grandma's home cooking. This is very poor diner food. The egg on my "omelette" was fried to a crisp and wrapped around some lukewarm meat. But the Pièce de résistance was the margarine spread on my toast. Basic, filling, home-cooking that meets expectations of what one might imagine from a small, midwestern-town restaurant. On all levels, the restaurant was "good enough." My husband and I stopped in while traveling by Caldwell to have breakfast. Basic choices. I enjoyed the waffle with a side of scrambled egg and bacon. He was pleased with his fried eggs, home fries, bacon and sourdough toast. Felt like what we might have at home in a Saturday morning, when we have a little more time to cook but are not intending to go all-out. Our server was friendly and attentive enough, making sure our cups were filled with decaf coffee which she made at our request. The ambience was fun, watching the locals support what was clearly their favorite restaurant and hearing them chat with each other and the staff. Decor and cleanliness were also "good enough". This place has gone by many names, but it's always filled with the same regulars. My parents and I go when I visit Ohio from Virginia Beach because we don't have many downhome style, mom 'n pop, greasy spoons where I am. The atmosphere is calm and relaxed with a country charm to it. Everything is tidy and clean and the staff greet you once you have a foot in the door. They have awesome dessert, so don't smash all of the food into your face because you'll get a nice sized portion when you order. I never have room for desert so sometimes I'll box up my dinner and go for some homemade pie! It reminds me of the pies my Grandma used to make... of course, nobody can hit that same level of love that she did because she cranked out 100+ pies a day, but still, this place comes close! The prices here are great! It's right off the Interstate and service is quick and the food is tasty! So stop in and grab a seat. You won't regret it! read more

Patty's give a very home like feel! The portions are very large and my chocolate chip pancakes were MASSIVE! The staff working make you feel like you're at home and all had great personalities. The service was good for our group and how busy it was and you really can't beat the prices! I am not used to the small town type of environment but it was a very nice break from the hectic city that I'm from. read more

We ate there last week and everything was good. Went there last night and had the cod dinner and it was awful. The cod wasn't even cooked inside, the french fries were dripping in oil. There was a puddle on the plate from the excess amount of oil. I said something to the waitress and she said, oh I will tell the cook. Then she added the bill up wrong.
