I get it's Valentines but when the tables next to us get their food and dessert before we even get our meal. Then after 45 mins we finally got our food and I didn't even eat my meal. When we first entered the restaurant, immediately the ambience and atmosphere made us feel welcome. There were two hosts at the front desk, greeting us with warm and friendly smiles. We were seated and given menus. I'm not one to name drop, but I will mention that the service from our waitress was less than exceptional, however, forgivable. We had to ask for silverware, and then another employee ended up bringing the sets, even making a comment acknowledging the lack of attention to our table. I should have gotten his name. He made us feel a bit better about the service. I won't harp too much more on the waitress, maybe just a bad night. The food was exceptional, not super gourmet or home-run quality, but it was decently prepared and served hot. The spaghetti was a little sour for my taste, but thats a matter of personal preference The four stars take into account the overall welcoming atmosphere and the service of the waitress. Great little find when we were visiting Marietta earlier this summer. We sat at the bar and had a great meal. I highly recommend any of the parmigiana - chicken/veal/eggplant. I'm not impressed, to be honest, but the other food has been great. The chicken parm was slightly overcooked and very thinly sliced for the price I paid. Did I mention how good the German Pizza was? The ravioli combo was outstanding. My wife had the Philly cheesesteak lasagna and was also very happy. The waiter was very efficient.

The positive: the food is spectacular, old-school Italian. The salads with house Italian are fresh, crispy, amazing-crouton awesomeness. The French Onion Soup was cheesy and flavorful (and not so hot that it required cooling). Best of all the spaghetti with meat sauce was a hint-of-sweet, non-acidic perfection for me, and for my husband the chicken cannelloni was a cool twist on tradition with a whole chicken breast wrapped on sheet pasta with a flavorful cheese medley. The negative: the hostess was approached by waitresses asking for dish removal assistance on our way to be seated. Our silverware and napkins were missing until 5 minutes after the soup & salad arrived. My glass of wine was delivered 10 minutes after the salad. No water was ever brought for the table. Finally (and perhaps this is colloquial) the server responded to every "thank you" with "no problem". I honestly believe they were understaffed for a Saturday evening, which is clearly the norm these days. I would visit again in spite of the service -- albeit on a weekday -- because the food was just that good. read more

I arranged a dinner party for thirty-five people with my sports car club on Saturday 6/1/24 with Trina, the manager. When I called her on 5/10/24 to make the reservation she informed me that because of the size of the party we would be limited to one of the following entrees: * Fettuccine alfredo with the option of adding chicken, shrimp or mushrooms for an up charge. * Lasagna * Veal parmesan with spaghetti When we arrived there were no printed menus showing the cost of the entrees or the cost of adding to the Fettuccine. We also had no way of knowing the cost of the appetizers. The two servers announced that the entrees came with a side salad and garlic bread. My table of eight people never got our garlic bread and add insult to injury we were charged for it when our bills came. The worst part was one of my table mates who ordered Veal Parmesan did not receive his meal before the rest of us were already finished eating. I went and found Trina to explain why we will not be returning again next year and she comped the couple that did not get their food but did not readjust their bill regarding the 20% gratuity that was included for the cost of their food. read more

Home town Italian spot that has been around forever! Although the inside could use an update... I think it's the cozy vibe and nostalgic theme that brings locals back time and time again. The food is pretty good and the service was great! A family of 4 can eat and share an app for under $100 (no alcohol & lunch portions). The fried chicken salad was DELISH but my mini pizza was just okay. Mostly bread and not much sauce or cheese but LOTS of bacon - as an additional topping. They did forgot my roll I requested with my salad- whomp! The cheese toast didn't look that great, but I didn't eat any of it. Just white bread and cheese melted on top - nothing fancy. I took a slice of carrot cake to go and it really wasn't that great, if I am honest. Placed a pick up order and was told it would be 30 minutes, ending up being an hour. The order was supposed to have garlic bread with it and when they handed me the order I asked specifically if the bread was in the bags and was told yes it was so I didn't bother to check at that time. Now image being discriminated against because you decided to have more than 2 children and your party of 5 just is to much to serve. In this economy I couldn't imagine turning away business and only taking tables of 4. I guess the 2 cups of noodles and 1/4 cup of canned tomato sauce my 5 year old was going to eat was just to much to handle and would have caused the kitchen to implode from reaching maximum entropy. Sad. Poor decisions like this going to drive this place under fast. If you're not family friendly...what good are you. Ambience...straight out of a 1990s retirement home. The process took over 2 hours in total just for dinner. Not a great experience. The food was basic Italian, but as I'm told there aren't many Italian places in the area so it was the best of the slim pickings. Our server was friendly but clearly flustered. This place is HUGE! It's deceptive from the outside. It' a great location for family gatherings, business or social meetings. Our first visit we were up from Atlanta for a Funeral and the whole family went. They handled the large crowd quickly and efficiently. This past week we were up again just for a visit and took about a dozen family members. Again the wait staff was funny, friendly and fast. Food was good. This restaurant has some great food! However, the staff on this particular evening must have been on vacation. We had a party of eleven (11) that night, some of whom we hadn't seen in ages. After placing our orders, we naturally started to reminisce and catch up on past events. Before we knew it, it had been two (2) hours and our food was nowhere in sight. Unfortunately, some of us had to leave (myself included) with no meal whatsoever. Needless to say, I can't see going back there in the foreseeable future. Made reservations here for Father's Day. The service was OK at best. The server seemed to be bothered by us being there. She poured the water and iced tea from about two feet above the glasses. This restaurant is overall pretty good. Their calzones are pretty good but their pasta and salad dishes aren't anything special in my opinion. Their to-go DEFINITELY lacks. I feel like you don't get as much or as good of quality as dine in. My husband LOVES their German pizza and from what I hear it's a fan favorite from most people we talk to.
