Long story, but in a nutshell I wouldn't send my worst enemy to this store. Prices are the same if not MORE than in smaller shops, a total lack of customer service and product knowledge, and by far the worst return policy, period. Management/owner is beyond rude. Spend your money elsewhere.
Where to start?
Customer service is terrible. Whether it's the teenage girls who are too rude and snotty to give you the time of day or the the guys up in the surf and snowboard section who just talk bro-bra language and too busy looking at their iPhones, none of the employees I spoke with knew much more about the products than I did. They are supposed to know much more than their customers. They were absolutely useless and provided WRONG information on $500 wetsuit I was there to buy on my first visit. That should have been a red flag, but silly me went back a week later to check out another product which resulted in a heated argument between me and the owner.
DO NOT buy anything from this store if you think you may be buying the wrong product for your son/kid/husband, wife/grandma, whoever, which is easy to do since the staff is absolutely clueless regarding product knowledge. Don't trust what they say. Their "return" policy is a little sign near the register which is hidden by other point of sale knick-knacks. You can't see it and the staff does not tell you what the policy is until you try and return something.
A day after my purchase I went to return the item I bought because the staffer gave me wrong info and was told I could only get store credit. They pointed to their small hidden sign. I told them i didn't see it. Then a girl who just finished up sending a text leered up at me and said, "Well it also says no returns on the receipt" In which I replied, "Well if I'm reading the receipt, don't you think it's already too late to send that message?". The girl looked at me as if I was speaking another language.
I spoke with the owner who then went on a rant in a condescending tone "Hey man, I have payroll to make, I have to pay taxes, I have utility bills, workers comp..." he kept going ON AND ON. Yes Mr. store owner. Most people are well aware businesses have expenses. I am a former restaurant and nightclub owner, I know what it takes to run a biz and I don't need a bitter, rude, angry store owner telling me so.
So I had to exchange my purchase for things I really didn't need at the time but will use in the future.
Anyhow, if had the time I would stand outside the store and tell people how terrible of a place this is to buy anything expensive, or merely anything at all. but I don't. Don't spend your money here. There are plenty of other professional establishments that know more, have the same or better prices, and would love to earn your business with respect. read more
