Delicious! My husband and I have eaten here several times over the last several years. This place does not disappoint. Excellent breakfast spot! Been here a few times and have always found the breakfast to be on another level of creativity. Case in point this morning...lentils, watercress, curry aioli, roasted cherry tomatoes, poached eggs, and sourdough toast. Man it was good! We have been coming to Hangar B for years. Yes we've seen the bad reviews but never experienced it until this week. We arrived and it was slow only a few tables occupied. we were seated right away, noting three servers standing around. It took ten minutes for our server to stop socializing with the others and come over. We placed our order and the coffee came right over. Food showed up after a while, longer than usual though, delivered by another server who quickly disappeared. that was it no one ever came by to ask how the food was, if we wanted more coffee or ever give us a bill. My wife tried several times to get the other server's attention but was deliberately ignored. We got up to demand a bill so we could leave and noted our server was outside playing with the merchandise they sell instead of monitoring their only table. No sorry, no nothing. Clearly bad management, oh and the worse part was the food was not prepared properly, burnt. Sent a group text out to my pilot friends to avoid at all costs. there are too many great reasturants on the cape to waste your time here. It's sad they use to be great, but no more. read more

I (think) came here over 10 years ago with my mom, brother and family friend and her children. All I remembered was a restaurant down in the Cape that was attached to an airport with HUGE food portions (to a 13 year old kid). I came back for the first time since then, last week to find a very "healthy" / organic type menu with a lot less options and pricier ... prices. Which was a bit disappointing, but whatever - in all fairness, it might not the same place or owner(s). I got the Breakfast Fish and Chips which were actually really delicious. My boyfriend got the breakfast sandwich, which was also very good. There was a wait, unsurprisingly, but it was cool that we could watch the planes in the outdoor area while we waited. This place is small and unique and it's a nice break from the typical "cape cod" food, so I recommend it even with it being a bit pricy. read more

Thank you David F. we very much agree the chef here is very arrogant. We were there just last month. I wanted to have egg whites in my dish and I am always willing to pay more but first the waiter who was already coming across as rude said I don't know if the chef will do that. Then we hear him talking to the chef and the chef says I don't want to, but just this one time, but if it was a weekend I wouldn't do it. I guess it must take a lot of time to separate out the yolks instead of just dump in the whole egg. This chef wouldn't make it in California if he can't handle egg whites! I only give an extra star because my husband liked the special cheese pancakes everyone raves about. Just be aware not to ask for any substitutes and be prepared for the cold shoulder. read more

Fresh and delicious food with great service! We found this great little breakfast place while down in the area for the weekend. It's a tiny place with just about 8 tables, and it's popular, so we had a bit of a wait, but it was well worth it! We waited about 30 minutes (I recommend bringing a coffee with you for while you wait). When we were seated, we got coffee and water quickly, and ordered their signature buttermilk donut with dipping sauces to have with our coffee. Yum! The main food was fresh, fast and so tasty. All 5 of us had something different and we were all raving about each of our main dishes. I personally loved the vegetarian eggs benedict (with a side of bacon!) And I have to say the woman serving us was great, and so friendly. We will definitely be back next time we are in town! read more

Without a doubt, this is my favorite breakfast in the world and the best restaurant on Cape Cod. I have been going to Hangar B since my family arrived in the Cape. You cannot go wrong with any choice on the menu. My favorites are the fish tacos, lemon ricotta pancakes, home fries, mushroom omelette and I always have to get a chocolate chip muffin with ice coffee before my meal. The portions are generous without making you feel savage, food is always fresh and picture-worthy. You just have to see for yourself. I have never... in my life... had a home fry as delectable as theirs. The chef sprinkles them with fresh chives and the perfect amount of sea salt to compliment their airy crunch. WOW! What else is great?? The people... Tracy, the master chef and the same waiters and waitresses are there year after year. Says something about a place. The place is always jam packed (so arrive early and hang out with a coffee and muffin while you wait for your table) but they never make you feel rushed or seem stressed. This is next level cooking in a completely non-pretentious environment, they make you feel so comfortable and homey and then surprise you with a dish that's far better than a 5 star resort. The decor... Not sure who the design brain is but Hangar B is just effortlessly cool inside. Love the pale blue elements and retro feel. So this is a big departure from your average Cape Cod breakfast place. I've been meaning to get here for a while and preferably off season when it's not nuts. Also being a commercial pilot and flight instructor, I've eaten at many an airport restaurant. First, this is clearly the best. Joined by my foodiphile son, we figured out how to get into the place after seeing the "use the stairs outside sign". Small place but an abundant menu and plenty of specials on the board. I really wanted to try their eggs benny and when the little guy said he was getting that, I went to the red velvet hash. A perfectly poached egg atop an intriguing and flavorful beet based hash. Certainly a much healthier alternative to my CBH addiction. The boy's benny was asking me to take a bite and it was scrumcious. Yukon roasted potatoes lined the balance of the plate and they were creamy and crunch and something I would walk a few miles for. A bit of a ride for us but I'm glad we got to finally take this place in. Bravo! read more

Hanger B is one of those places you just gotta check out. Located right on the Chatham Airport field, you park on George Ryder Road, walk through the gates, stay on the path until you get to the stairs (the restaurant is on the second floor). If the weather is nice, I definitely recommend sitting outside so you can watch the planes take off. I got the lemon ricotta pancakes bcs I was craving carbs I guess. Also tried the spicy watermelon gazpacho. Joe got the huevos rancheros. Pancakes were of a beautiful texture and good flavor. Not as lemony as I like. They came with adorable jams on the side, as well as syrup and berries. The huevos rancheros were a protein-packed extravaganza! Eggs! Avocado! Black beans! They came with warm tortillas and grilled tomatoes. It was casado-style, so everything was on the same plate, but not all mixed together the way you sometimes get. The gazpacho was nice. Cool and sweet and spicy. A nice side at $6. Otherwise, I thought breakfast was kind of expensive: two entrees, two coffees, and a side came to $42. But my big criticism was the service. Aside from getting seated and getting our food, we were completely ignored. No one asked to refill our coffees, no one asked how our meal was, and no one asked if we wanted anything else: they just brought the check and literally dropped it onto my boyfriend's plate. We had to call the guy back to get a to-go cup for the gazpacho, and despite me repeatedly asking for him to let me do it, the waiter poured the gazpacho into the cup for me, splashing it everywhere and probably getting his fingers in it. But despite those annoyances, I still enjoyed my breakfast immensely, and I definitely think Hanger B is somewhere you should check out if you've never been before! read more

Just came from the opening of hangarb at the chatham airport and was thrilled to find this quality of breakfast food on the Cape. Their Breakfast sandwich was amazing, roasted roma tomatoes topped with avocado and cheddar on a grilled croissant. They also server Chatham Roasted coffee which is spot on. This spot serves up really fresh food at great prices, local food when they can get it. Hard to find good fresh food like this in a cool atmosphere on Cape Cod...but now I've found it. This is a unique and fun cafe located at the Chatham Airport. It is on the Cape Cod rail trail so ride a bike here with the rug rats! There is a fenced playground at the bottom of the stairs in case junior gets rammy. Warning this place is tiny and very busy so expect to wait particularly on a weekend. Noise level is high inside so you can can uncage your inner beast and not worry about offending anyone. Nice counter seating outside. Now for the best part, the food is awesome and homemade. The eggs are enormous two look like three and the scrambled are fluffy and light. Red Bliss home fries with a crunchy outside and real bacon, sourdough toast. Homemade raspberry jelly too. This is overall a really cool place and just a fun place I'd say to eat and check out the planes. They had plenty of our door seating! They have a pretty decent COVID set up with online ordering and they bring it to your car if you don't want to leave your car. Prices are decent and staff are very friendly and hard working. The 3 stars are because I am a bit of stickler! I had high hopes and it was just okay. Let's start with some positives! The raspberry jam and sourdough toast were my favorite part, so so good. The bacon was also excellent and crispy just the way I like it! The eggs were eggs and the potatoes were good but lacked some seasoning... just wanted some more kapowwww! My dad got the lemon ricotta pancakes which had good flavor but were a bit dense. Coffee was good. Overall a good, really cool atmosphere breakfast joint on the Cape! This was our last stop after a week on the cape, and it was probably my favorite meal of the whole trip. You know the cape in the summer: $27 lobster rolls, fried seafood everything, walls covered in fishing nets and dried starfish. Everything is good and nothing is great. Not this place! The worst part was the wait, a little over an hour for our party of 5 1/2. There's plenty of room to sit outside with a nice view of the runway, just make sure to bring sunblock since there's not much shade. Indoors is cozy and cute, colorful and Scandinavian with an open kitchen, and not a seashell to be found. Everyone from the host to the server to the guy working in the shop downstairs was super friendly and accommodating. The menu was very upscale-urban-brunch with pancakes, Benedicts, and huevos rancheros. I got the fried green tomatoes with poached eggs, saffron aioli, and watercress. Amazing! Tart, perfectly fried tomatoes mellowed out by runny egg yolks and aioli. I then proceeded to devour my sister-in-law's unfinished vegetarian Benedict. The hollandaise had a nice red pepper kick and the grilled (baked?) tomatoes added the perfect splash of acid. Don't forget to ask for the jam, I could bathe in the lemon-curd-vanilla-bean variety. BF and I came in for a late lunch in early July '13. Despite it being a rainy weekday at around 1:30pm, the small dining room was bustling. "You're really lucky," the hostess said with a smile, "most of the time we run on an hour wait." Fresh Squeezed Orange Juice - 5 out of 5 Can't get any better than the sweet sunshine-y tang of fresh OJ... Mint Tea - 5 out of 5 Light, crisp, and not too sweet, it was a great accompaniment to the meal. Red Flannel Hash (Beet, Bacon, Sweet Potato, and Sweet Potato Hash with Two Poached Eggs, Sourdough Toast, & Horseradish Creme Fraiche) - 4 out of 5 Apparently a very popular dish - and for good reason - the perfectly poached eggs oozed over the hash, and we sprinkled some salt, and loaded the combination onto the sourdough bread. The horseradish creme fraiche was a nice zingy flavor. I did yearn for a little more salt, though. Ceviche (Striped Bass, Bell Peppers, Avocado, Mint, Tomatoes, Greens, served with a side of Coriander Popcorn) - 5 out of 5 Very, very impressive. Insanely fresh fish married with a sophisticated blend of seemingly disparate ingredients, made one of, if not the best ceviches, we've had. I liked the coriander popcorn, but it wasn't as memorable as the rest of our meal. Service - 3 out of 5 Average. Our food came out quickly. However, we didn't have water for the better part of our meal, I had to walk up to the wait station to ask for some, and no one really dropped by to check on us. Overall, this is easily the best breakfast in Chatham. I would only suggest to the chef, I think his name was Brian, to include more fresh seafood! A lobster benedict would be killer! The food here is very good. I am giving 4 stars only because the menu is very limited. However, all the food items they do provide is done well. Note: They do have blackboard specials every day - both breakfast and lunch items - available to choose from as well. Prices are higher than you'd expect. The wait time is always a min of 20mins+ (and longer on the weekends and summer time). Limited seating, but there is outdoor seating available too. They make awesome donuts that remind me of a Dunkin Donut Sour Cream Donut meets Funnel Cake meets beignets? Their chocoalte croissant is awesome too. Freshly squeezed juices, teas, coffee, organic milk are available for drinks. The location is literally on the airport - 2nd floor. Note: This location is NOT handicap accessible. You MUST climb stairs to the 2nd floor to dine. My favorite dish that I had while dining was their Flat Iron Steak with Hollandaise/Chipotle sauce. Yum! The best "Steak and eggs" I ever had. Don't come here if you want more basic brunch stuff - a stack of pancakes etc. Come for more interesting flavors, good vegetarian options, and absolutely delicious baked goods and coffee. Some highlights - you can watch the planes take off and land, it's unique! The pan au chocolate is a great starter. The menu is always changing, but I tend to go with the interesting savory stuff.pulled pork with breakfast can never go wrong. And while I'm not a vegetarian, I've had some pretty delish vegetarian dishes like beets made to taste like beef hash. And as I said before the coffee is good and they take it seriously. Only downsides - such a small place, so busy. Can't be more than 5-7 tables. I would never go on a busy summer weekend unless I was super early or prepared to wait a long long time. With my little kids I can't do that but the little playground in front I can usually wait, it's rare that I can go straight in. The staff is busy and a bit aloof but whatever I think it's part of the attitude there. Totally fine with me. Prices seem worth it.
