First time out not a huge breakfast fan but the wifey is! Food/Drink: Everything was great! Steak was cooked medium rare...actually. The eggs were cooked sunny side correctly, toast was light brown, hash was seasoned very well. Bread and Apps: None this time. Dinning Area: Pretty large, and open. A little drafty. Prices: Relatively cheap. Omelette, steak and 3 eggs, and 2 drink I got away for $35...OJ and milk are $5 a pop... a little high. Parking: Plenty of space, private lot. Bathrooms: Bathrooms were clean and smaller in size. Atmosphere: During the weekend brunch rush, during the off season. pretty steady. We did not wait at all. Staff/Attendants: Staff overall was Great, family owned and operated. Extremely authentic, home cooking. Awesome experience when for breakfast! 8/10

Great breakfast food! You can sit either inside or outside which is great on a nice day. The staff was nice and attentive. Food was amazing with great selection. Food came out quick and hot. Only down side is it was tough accommodating allergies however did have a great gluten free variety. Went with friends while in town, we got the waffles and pancakes which where huge! Great breakfast spot!!

Such a great breakfast place to go on vacation. Food and service was great. They were really busy but we were still able to sit quickly. Plus really cute merch.

Decided to check out The Breakfast Room because every time we drove by the parking lot it was packed. We sat inside however they do offer outside seating. The inside is a bit dated (resulting in the lower rating) however the food was great. Straightforward menu with typical breakfast offerings. I had an iced coffee and built my own omelette. I was pleasantly surprised with how it wasn't buttery/greasy like typical diner omelettes. My family also had the chocolate chip pancakes (not pictured). I'd recommend checking out The Breakfast Room!

We stumbled upon here while on the cape and our first two spots didn't pan out. We were sat outside fairly quickly and drink orders were taken. Service was extremely slow but our server was pleasant. We had to ask for sugar several times before it was actually brought over or more coffee was give . I noticed a special menu on Yelp but the server never told us about it. I had to ask, are there are specials because I saw it on Yelp? She said oh yes, there are as if she was never going to tell us. So service alone- 3/5 stars But the food was really good at a 4/5 stars. I enjoyed my crab cake Benedict because it was hearty and cooked to perfection. It was large enough that I was not hungry after but it didn't stuff me beyond full. Check out more foodie and non foodie fun on Instagram @date_night_craves

Delicious! Came in on the 4th and it was slammed but somehow our party of 7 got a table in less than 10 min. Eggs Benedict was good except one of my eggs was hard boiled (very disappointing). Portions were also massive on the pancake special! OJ was fresh. A good spot with a cozy inside. Would go back again if in the area.

Love these specials of the day

Possibly the best breakfast you will find on the Cape. My wife and I stumbled upon this establishment while looking for another breakfast place while on vacation. I had the Benedict with hash ( Irish Benedict on the menu) and it was fantastic. The eggs were poached to perfection and the hollandaise sauce was light, tasty with a hint of lemon. The hashes homemade goodness. My wife had a Mediterranean omelette that was light and filled with green peppers, feta cheese and mushrooms that she enjoyed. The service from Debbie ( owner ? ) was superb. She also gave us tips on other restaurants to try in our travels along the Cape. I highly recommend this establishment.

All the road work going on MA 28 was also incentive, as we could get there without traveling on it from where we were staying. We were also told several times to get their grilled breads (if you weren't gluten-free, of course). The complimentary coffee in the waiting area was a nice tough as well. It certainly lived up to the recommendations. We had maybe a 3 minute wait for a table on a busy Friday morning. There were lots of specials on the blackboards on the side wall. Coffee came out quickly; it was piping hot and mellow, with very frequent refills. I did try the bread, an apple-cranberry, grilled/toasted medium with a pat of butter for extra yum. I opted for the hash Benedict with fruit instead of potatoes. I got potatoes by mistake anyway, but they immediately brought over the fruit. The eggs were perfectly cooked, the Hollandaise was flavorful, and the hash was crisp and not greasy at all. Now it's my turn to be a good friend and pass the recommendations forward for others.

My favorite style of homemade hash is just corned beef, potato and onions -- theirs has peppers but is pretty good, can see why folks say it's one of the best hashes on the Cape. I ordered mine in an Irish benny and it was stupendous. Our family went back twice in one week for the homemade cinnamon swirl loaf French toast and the fresh cranberry pancakes -- both exceeded our high hopes and expectations and were truly sublime. We went with a short stack but still had ample leftovers, which held up perfectly as snacks the next couple of days. I ordered with real maple syrup and butter on side as well, usually comes topped with butter otherwise. The strawberries and blueberries that came with both were perfectly ripe summer's finest, was pleasantly surprised (ok, shocked) by how dang good they were given a fruit cup is usually an afterthought at other spots. The only potential drawback was their avocado toast since the toast and poached egg came cold. It was peak summer lunch rush and we ordered a ton, with everything else being perfect, so understandable that things happen and we didn't say anything to server about.

Then when you add the fact that this family-owned restaurant has clearly prioritized quality food and service, The Ocean House is must go if you're on the Cape. I was lucky enough to come just at the beginning of the season. Lucky for 2 reasons. Firstly, I was able to get a reservation (I heard it is near impossible once season hits). Secondly, we got a 3 @ 66 deal for an app, a main, and a dessert. So we obviously made it a 6 @ 122 to try everything we possibly could. Apparently that deal is only at the beginning and end of season. The Ocean House has a unique Asian-inspired twist to make each dish unique and intriguing. This goes for both food and drinks. For example, I got a dirty martini with MSG?!? Never heard of that, but it worked. Food was all fresh (especially the fish) and delicious. My favorite was their Chilean Sea Bass. That's a must get. Do yourself a favor and make a resi far in advance and take in everything you can! It may be a little pricy and a little fancy - but definitely worth everything.
