The Hospitality was above excellent. The food we ordered excellent. The Atmosphere was very Pleasant to be in. First time going there and won't be my last. For the size of the place you felt like your in a Restaurant. I recommend anyone looking for a decent diner to try it out. You won't be disappointed Bob and Andrew

What a hidden gem!! It's very small but MUCH MUCH better than all of the much higher priced breakfast places in Cape Cod. The quality is EXCELLENT and very reasonable (for the Cape). The ambiance is quirky retro (you'll see lol) and charming. I had the Florentine eggs Benny and hubby had the sampler with everything including pancakes. Was our BEST breakfast out of the six we had that week. And the lowest bill!! Highly recommend it.

Something about a diner makes breakfast taste better. Throw in awesome service and an extremely low cost, and you've got yourself the Route 28 Diner. Everything we ordered was perfectly fresh and well presented even though we got take out. Their French toast and waffles are perfection. Do not miss out on an opportunity to go here.

Surprisingly good corned beef hash. Eggs and toast were nothing special (not bad, just not memorable) but that corned beef hash was absolutely delicious. Also had a breakfast sandwich. That was also not memorable. Bumped up from three stars to four simply because of the hash.

We used to occasionally go to this restaurant to get delicious lemon poppyseed pancakes and the taco omelette. We went in today and to our disappointment the ownership has changed hands, and so has the menu, now there is nothing unique about it anymore. Our food arrived, the chocolate chip pancakes looked and tasted good according to my son. My husband said that his meat lovers omelette was good. I got eggs, sausage and home fries. The home fries were burnt, yet they served them that way to both of us. Our waitress never came back to see how we were doing or if we needed drink refills. I could let this slide if it were busy, but the 3 waitresses were too busy sitting in a booth chatting amongst themselves to be bothered with us. There was one other table occupied, so no there's no excuse for neglecting customers! After we were done I saw our waitress look back at us and I thought she was going to get up and bring us our check. Nope. After she did it a second time and just turned back around I had to ask for our check. Needless to say I won't be returning. Between the lackluster menu, burnt food and lousy service I don't see the point when there are many other breakfast options in the area.

    Service sucks terrible place

Server not listening to what you ordering awful place. Wrong order they didn't even correct it. Just walking by ask for creamer many time. Ask for anything repeatedly on the table. Your meal will be delayed. Go to dunkin donuts is better service. Also skimped on sides. Runaway from this place new management or old sucks. Coffee tasted like water flavoured. Don't waste your money here. Bad service be aware. Sign says under new management but it's seriously awful experience.

Cayla had "the route 28 plate". Cassidy at "the route 6". I had a 2 egg omelette with sausage and cheese. The bill was $30.03

Not for me. Small place. Servers forget order twice reminded. Food was OK. Cleanliness can be looked into.

Yummy food and great service! Portions are large. We split ours in two and get two meals from them.

Great food, excellent service and a fun environment. Omelets were overstuffed and blueberry pancakes were delicious.

All the road work going on MA 28 was also incentive, as we could get there without traveling on it from where we were staying. We were also told several times to get their grilled breads (if you weren't gluten-free, of course). The complimentary coffee in the waiting area was a nice tough as well. It certainly lived up to the recommendations. We had maybe a 3 minute wait for a table on a busy Friday morning. There were lots of specials on the blackboards on the side wall. Coffee came out quickly; it was piping hot and mellow, with very frequent refills. I did try the bread, an apple-cranberry, grilled/toasted medium with a pat of butter for extra yum. I opted for the hash Benedict with fruit instead of potatoes. I got potatoes by mistake anyway, but they immediately brought over the fruit. The eggs were perfectly cooked, the Hollandaise was flavorful, and the hash was crisp and not greasy at all. Now it's my turn to be a good friend and pass the recommendations forward for others.

One…read more We were staying just down the road for the week, and I'd been eyeing this donut haven (and the eternally long line out front) all vacation. As we were heading out of town, we were about to cave for one last Dunkin' run... but fate smiled on us. No line? We swerved in faster than you can say "glazed & confused." We didn't grab any coffee (though the drinks coming out looked tempting), but we made up for it with a donut and a bagel sandwich--because balance, right? The donut? Chef's kiss. We went classic: vanilla icing with rainbow sprinkles. It was MASSIVE, fluffy, and so moist it basically floated into my soul. Every bite was like sinking into a cloud of sugary joy. And then came the BEC on an Asiago bagel--which they make in-house and wow... top drawer. That bagel was perfectly baked with just the right amount of cheesy crust, and the sandwich? A savory masterpiece. Inside was clean, bright, and full of friendly staff slinging baked goods like pros. Not much seating, but it's more of a grab-and-go vibe anyway--and they've got merch and souvenirs so you can remember the flavor fantasy long after the crumbs are gone. Would I stand in line for this next time? Absolutely. Would I get the donut AND the bagel sandwich again? Without question. Hole in One, you knocked it out of the park. (Or should I say... tee'd up the perfect bite?)
