Delicious, delicious delicious. I would recommend this place. Everybody was friendly service is great. Food was delicious, good drinks.

Excellent food and service!! I went there with my two boys march 5th at night. They were so helpful and amazing. Our server (wish I remembered his name) helped us cook our meat since we were a bit confused and kept checking on us the whole time. The food was seriously delicious. Ive been to Korea and I can say this was just as good as kbbq there. I had kimchi stew and it was soooo good! I also loved that it didnt have shrimp paste since I have allergies. They accommodated my son who is gluten free only also. This place is such a gem. It was our last night in Honolulu and Im soo glad our uber driver recommended it. A bit pricey but all kbbq places are. The atmosphere is also nice and I like that everyone has their own booths with separations. The area is close to a main mall and felt like a safe area. read more

Best Korean restaurant in Honolulu. Food is like healthy home made. Service is very professional and friendly. Now I only come here:) read more

Best service and quality of meats for Yakiniku! We have been coming here at Least once a week since they opened. Best service from Key, Jane, and Tei. The butcher is at the front counter and you can watch him cut and marinate your meats. We order the marinated ribeye cap, marinated Kalbi and fish jun. so so Yummy! Sorry no pictures cause we couldn't wait. This is a must if you're craving yakiniku Will definitely be back next week. read more

Excellent service and delicious authentic Korean cuisine. We got the all beef special and the meat was tender and amazing! The kim chee pancake and spicy tofu stew was fresh and steamy hot! Highly recommend this place! read more

Hangang - Korean Near Me - Honolulu, Hawaii

I had gugbap takeout today and was so disappointed. The price was too expensive and they didn't give me the same number of side dishes as I ordered. I will never ever order from them again. read more

The food was delicious if a little pricey, but Korean food is always on the pricey side, especially in Honolulu. They need to work on three things which kept me from giving them 5 stars. 1) The entry from the street is very steep and not friendly for people with walking challenges, my mother would have fallen if I hadn't been there. 2) The venting for table top grilling was wanting. Besides making the air a little thick in the restaurant, this absolutely contributed to #3 3) The air conditioning wasn't working great so it was hot in the restaurant, and they were slow to refill water, and somewhat reticent to fulfill our repeated requests for ice for the water. Having said all that, the food quality was excellent and the restaurant is new, clean and except for the ice water issue mentioned above, the staff was friendly and helpful. read more

Superior meat selection....freshly cut on site makes for a healthier meal. Service was on point!

Easy to park, wait time was minimal, reasonable price, and food was good. There were many small flies in the dining area and we were busy swatting flies while we were eating. read more

This is one of my go to Korean places restaurants. I take all my out of town guests and friends here and they rave about the food. The kalbi is tasty and tender. Soups have the right amount of heat and are yummy. Banchan has great variety and seconds are never questioned. Lastly, the cleanliness and customer service are outstanding. read more

Yet another Korean restaurant added to my list. Great food, service was fast and they were nice, Inside is renovated so it's a very nice place to eat along with the classical music being played in the background. read more

Love the look of the restaurant. I would come back for sure. I ordered the lunch set with kalbi and kim chee jige. $24 Kalbi tasted good. Jige was a little salty but i didnt mind it. Presentation and side dishes were great. It came with the purple bean rice. I personally like that. But if you have kids... you'd probably need to change it up to white. Most kids prefer white. The butcher up front cutting the beef was a nice change from an average korean restaurant. read more

First time here and we love it. The place is clean and fancy, the interior looks great! The constructor did a good job! I love how they have certain ways to place the plate to make it look better. This is our new spot now for Korean food. Oh and they have parking behind the restaurant. read more

My husband and I were looking for a good BBQ spot for our last night on vacation. He found HANGANG through yelp and suggested we tried it. We got a reservation for two easily over the phone. The ambience of the restaurant is great and inviting. Everything was clean and the service was awesome. Wide variety of options to choose from on the menu, but we ordered the prime beef course meal and it was excellent. So much food, we left stuffed! We were really impressed by the quality of the meats. So many delicious sides. We will definitely return when we come back to Honolulu! 10/10 and I highly recommend for anyone looking for an excellent KBBQ spot. read more

Flawless. Absolute amazing service. And food. I ordered way too much but even as leftovers food was great!

Excellent Korean cuisine. We enjoyed their dishes. A little off the usual tourists Waikīkī, service was good.

The food was amazing and the staff were very attentive! There was also a sink at the front entrance which I loved SO MUCH as somebody who always goes out of their way to wash their hands at restaurants. Will definitely be coming back. :) read more

I ate here twice. The food was great both times. Service on the first visit was extremely friendly. On the second visit they weren't really as smiley. I don't care though. The food here was bomb and it came out quickly. read more

This is my new favorite Korean Restaurant. went there last Tuesday at 5. They were so welcoming. Food is fantastic and plentiful My table had LA Kalbi, Gensing Chicken in soup, Braised Kalbi Stew, Kim Chee Jeon, vegetable Jeon, Zuccini Jeon. They were excellent. Ban Chan was outstanding. I enjoyed so much that I'm taking my family there this Friday. Also, there is no corkage fee for first bottle that you bring. After it is $30 .Free parking in the back. Right on Waimanu Street. One block from Ala Moana Also, extremely clean. Like a true restaurant in Korea read more

Came here for lunch a few times and I like their cold noodle, seafood pancake, kalbi, and BBQ chicken all are good and will be back again.

Without a doubt. What you see is not What you get. It may look appealing but once you have tried w, you can see that the product lacks authenticity. read more

First time to have duck tender loin BBQ in Hawaii at Hangang restaurant!!!! I was so happy to try out the BBQ duck this week for the first time, I don't usually leave a review but let me tell you, I was so impressed how tasty it was. I ate the duck tender loin in k town LA before every time I visited LA.. Guess here in Hawaii, only duck I can get was from Chinese restaurants like Peking duck but duck tender loin is nothing like that.. it is so juicy so tender, melt in your mouth and the oil from the fat is actually really good for body and your skin will glow the next day, it's really good for woman, almost like stamina food.. it's also good with drinks and it's BYOB so you can bring your own or they have soju there.. It comes with home made honey mustard Wasabi sauce, which is so good but I personally like it with their wine salt.. And pls save the oil from the fat, ask for extra container to save it and use it when you make the kimchi fri rice afterwards.. Ask for the well aged kimchi for the fri rice.. I give five star for it. Highly recommend to try out.. You can only get this duck loin at hangang restaurant.. read more

The food is a bit pricy, but quality of meat great. Service is great, our server explained everything on the menu and the meats that came out. Portion sizes are on the smaller side for the omakase. Banchans are probably the best you can find on island. The restaurant is very clean, and ambiance is nice. I would give this place a try! read more

Real great food and fast service, with high quality food. Sever quite nice and efficient

Food is not good, I have been here twice, and the wait for food is so long. The meat is always burnt. I also found a hair in my cucumber salad. Will not come back again read more

My husband and I ate here because I wanted Korean barbecue really badly while we were in Hawaii. This place was wonderful. It was a good price for the amount of food served. The servers are cooking our meal for us and we took over and because we've done it many times before. Kimchi soup was to die for in my opinion we split a beer. The location itself would be perfectly fine in the daytime, but seemed a little sketchy at night, but inside was wonderful, so there were no complaints. Once inside the building would go back again. Servers were courteous and friendly, and thanked us profusely for coming to their establishment. All in all I loved it and so did my husband. read more

Food are amazing and authentic recommended for those who loves korean food! Make sure you make reservations before you go.

I'm so glad we gave this place a try! This is our second time, the service is excellent. The staff is sweet and mindful. The meat is actually really good, and lots of banchan options! We got the combination B, seafood jeon, cold noodle, and bibimbap. Everything was delicious. read more

Amazing food and cozy atmosphere! A delightful dining experience. Highly recommend! Tae and Jun made our visit very memorable

Hands down the best Korean restaurant in Oahu, in my opinion. Quality meats, tasty banchans, pajeons, and galbi tangs. Sometimes it gets really smoky inside from the grilling of meats. I wish they can turn up the fans to vent the smoke out. Service is solid. read more

Still good food, but the portions of cold noodles are getting smaller, so disappointing. read more

All around wonderful dining experience! Authentic and delicious Korean BBQ! Excellent customer experience, nice variety of menu items, clean and well maintained premises, and convenient parking in the back. If dining during peak lunch (1130 am to 1 pm) or dinner hours (5pm to 8 pm) it's safest to make a reservation. Only parties of 4 or more may make reservations. read more

Ok it's a Korean restaurant so I'm not expecting great service so skip the bad service. Ordered some course and then we were still hungry so ordered another order of tongue. $47/order. Seems a tad expensive but whatever. The order comes and we got 8 slices of regular tongue. Nothing special just 8 THIN regular slices of tongue! Absolutely a scam don't go here it's too expensive for Gen/sikdorak quality AYCE meat. It's basically meat you wouldn't even want to feed your dog. read more
