Paint peeled off on car roof and I'm sure Dallas weather would have only done more damage. I got 4 quotes from Yelp. Hance's made me come in for estimate. They were much more concerned about the entire job done correctly and a fair realistic estimate. Caleb sealed my estimate with a hand-shake. A bit more costly than the other estimates I got but I felt they would do the job right. When I got the car back (4 days in shop) they had detailed the car and fixed many other places where I had small paint issues. My car now looks brand new! Communication is the reason they didn't get a 5 star! Though they told me they'd keep me posted on progress, I heard nothing via phone or text. I ended up calling on status. Car looks beautiful! Awesome experience at Hance's. Everyone here is so friendly and accommodating. Prices are very reasonable as well! Came in to get my mirror cap painted, and color match was spot on. They let me drop off both mirror caps so one could be used as a reference and I was able to keep my car as I waited. Turnaround was about 3 days, but would have been less as they were waiting on a replacement for the paint sprayer on the day I dropped off. Took my car in to repair hail damage. Dropped it off July 27th. When I made the appointment, I asked the person who took my call what the average time is for this type of repair. She said around 3 weeks. I fully understood that was an estimate and it could take longer. However, the job wasn't completed till late September. As frustrating as that can be, I know that there can always be hangups with a job like this, so in and of itself, the delay wasn't the worst of my experience. The communication is the main reason for my review. My initial contact was slow to respond to texts, emails and phone calls. Sometimes, she didn't respond at all, and I had to reach out a second time. I reached the point where I went to the shop to speak with the general manager about it. He apologized and led me to believe that he would take over to make sure it didn't happen again. Initially, (the first 3 days) his communication was better. Subsequently, it would take him days to respond to a text or email. When 2 different people from the same business communicate that poorly, I'm assuming it's their M.O. My case eventually was given to Jose, and his communication was fine, but by the time he took over, I was too frustrated to care. If you use this business, just know there's a good chance the communication will be poor. One fact I forgot to mention in my initial review. In the process of repairing the hail damage, they screwed up my car's computer, so now I'll have to spend several hundred dollars to get that fixed. read more

Always take my car to Hance. I trust rob and his crew to always take the best of care with my vehicle, weather it's a large issue or small. Came in recently with a loose reflector by my headlight. One of the gentleman secured it until I could get the new part in. While they were attaching the broken reflector put more air in my tire without asking since my indicator was on and very quick about the whole process. Got a call back quickly about the new part, and once they had the vehicle.. took maybe 5 minutes .. so so wonderful. Love this team read more

After calling several places for an estimate and getting the run around, I found Hance's and I'm glad I did. Sent photos of the damage via email of my exterior door handle that came off. An estimate was prepared less than 24hrs later and beat the competition (commercial shops) by hundreds of dollars. The estimator, Caleb, was superb in his customer service, ensuring the process and estimate was throughly explained and answered ALL of my questions. The repair took only a few hours. These guys are the best. Honest. Fair prices. John really knows the cheapest route to take that still maintains quality. They've fixed the paint and did bodywork on a couple vintage Porsches for me. They have another shop in Plano, go see Mark, he's the expert there. I went in to get some paint damage looked at and Mark said I can fix that. He came back w some tools and my car looks great now, didn't even charge me! In this day and age when you can't always  trust these guys are a true find. All of the positive reviews sold me! I called and spoke with Carrie who helped me arrange my vehicle to be dropped off. The only frustrating part was dealing with my insurance company but that's a given. Alton and his team made sure to keep me in the loop, answered all of my calls and emails (there were quite a few), and returned my car in pristine condition. They even washed and polished it! I decided to take my car to Hance's Uptown Collision. I'm not exaggerating; they fixed my car in less than 5 minutes. I was amazed; I opened my mouth wide in amazement. I couldn't believe they fixed the scratches in less than 5 minutes. To make this experience even more impressive for me, they did not charge me a dime. Most body shop knowing this is a job that won't take time would still have told me to leave the car and come back in 6 hours to make it look as if they worked on it for several hours. Absolutely horrible service. I was given a three week time estimated that turned into over a month. The lack of customer service was apparent in the few emails and calls experienced. Most importantly, the communication between their business and client was to the point of disrespectful. The time I spent dealing with insurance, extending car rentals and having to follow up with their team was outrageous. To tell me lll get my car at the end of the week then not update me that I was in fact not getting my car till the day before was upsetting to myself, as well as unprofessional.
