    Entrance of store

Located in the industrial area of Kalihi off of Dillingham which the back side of the shop, but the entrance and parking is on Colburn street. They carry everything you need for fishing from hooks, leads, nets, lures, fishing lines, etc... Staff all had mask on and hand sanitizer located as you enter.

Got my supplies for the weekend

I needed to pick up some fishing supplies to take kids fishing this weekend. Hanapa'a has everything you need from poles, reels, line, hooks, floaters, sinkers, lures, nets ----- you name it! Everything is neatly organized in aisles. I found everything I needed in 10 minutes and I was put the door. Lots of parking on Colburn Street side of building.

Great place for your diving and fishing things. Dive shop upstairs. Fishing shop downstairs. Staff are very knowledgeable on their supplies in store and are always willing to help out if need be. They also do sell tako for bait so feel free to ask if they have any in stock. All in all a great place for what you need to be out in the ocean wether it'd be for diving or fishing.

    Evolve 8' collapsible polespear

Nice selection to choose from. Everything stocked here is above average quality or well worth the price. Picked up a new 8' Evolve polespear and some Hammerhead dentex gloves to leave in the truck for when it's flat. Conveniently located right in Kalihi. Parking is in the back on Colburn Street.

Instead, he directed me to a wall of pickup orders and had me locate my own package. After I brought it to the counter, he simply removed the tag and completed the transaction. I've used store pickup at this location before, and staff retrieved the order for me. This experience felt indifferent and unprofessional, with no effort made to assist the customer or verify the order before sending me to find it myself. It gave the impression that customer service was an inconvenience rather than a priority. The weakest part about his terrible customer service was the wall is right next to his cashier station and there were no customers in line behind me or the second cashier.

I've been using the West Marine website to order online and pick up to save time when I get there. Staff is always friendly when I get there, saying "hi, can I help you with anything?" They have a really good selection of general marine parts and some specialty stuff you can order. Many people don't know they have ocean apparel and stand up paddle boarding stuff. Reminds me of Sports Authority of the old days, but for boats. Plenty of parking, just have to drive in a circle, one way in and one way out, from Nimitz/Ala Moana Blvd.

And we have a store here in Hawaii too--located along Ward Ave between Waimanu and Kawaiahao Street with plenty of unshaded parking. The inside is very open, clean, cool, and comfortable. Everything was quite organized and each section was spacious. The first time I came here I couldn't really understand how most of the clothes aren't even for Hawaii weather..... or Hawaii pockets.... unless you travel to many places to do winter sports and activities. Funny enough, I received a gift card for Pantagonia shortly after my first visit. Now that I need to actually buy something. I focused on the casual, running/training, ocean activity areas. Needless to say, everything was quite expensive in my opinion. The quality is there and the clothes do feel similar to other brands. Is it worth THAT much though? My co-worker says this place is like the Lululemon for outdoors. Sounds about right. Overall, this store was really nice, cool, and comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful. Everything really organized. It's quite niche. I guess if I need some ice climbing gear, I'll know where to go. Eventually I got a pair of shorts. Regular price is $135. Thankful for the gift card cause I'm not on THAT level...yet.
