Staff is friendly, helped with sizing boots and fins for snorkel/scuba. Fairly good selection for on island, they did not have my size boot at this particular branch, so I paid and picked up a pair at the Keawe location. Not sure about comparable pricing as I've not done the research, but much like anything else online vendors probably have better pricing with a longer delivery. Do watch out they charge you correctly as they explicitly say no refunds. Notice the tag for Seawing Supernova size S indicates $279.00, yet I was charged $299.00.

I've never had any issues, but today I did. I always wear my 3/5mm wetsuit and people don't want to give me the weight I need. Here, no problem, but I needed 4 more lbs. Jim was our dive instructor/guide and he was absolutely fantastic. I thought after my struggle, we would be treated poorly (it has happened before to my husband) and that should never happen AND it didn't!! Our second dive was reef and I was a bit hesitant to take my camera, but my husband grabbed it and I'm glad he did. I took it over and got some great shots. We were the only two on the boat, which made it fantastic. I would not hesitate to Dive Oahu again. Thanks guys, professional top to bottom.

Dive Oahu moved their Navy Exchange location from the Main Exchange to the Garden Center Annex facing the NEX Pick Up center. Nice big storefront, they have a wide selection of fishing, spear diving gear and a wide variety of apparel in addition to scuba gear. They'll also refill air tanks with a discount for club members. It's great to have another full service dive shop in town! Will repeat and recommend!

View from the back deck. What a beautiful experience!

I walked into a few other surf and snorkel spots but they mostly carried short fins. I went with the Leaderfins which are the most affordable carbon fins. The fins do come separately from the foot pocket, so I also got their forza foot pockets. They do offer a service where they put together your fins and foot pockets but only certain people are trained on that, so I did have to pick it up just a few days later- and that service is $30. I also got a pair of diving socks to go with my fins. They have different sizes, thicknesses, and cuts (high vs low). I also got a new diving mask and snorkel. The best thing about going to a dive shop is the ability to try things on and Westside Dive has so many different options. Being able to put on the foot pockets with the diving socks or even just trying on a few different masks to find the one that best fits your face is why it's better to come in person than buying online. The service was also super friendly. I was making some big purchases, so I wanted to make sure that each component was exactly right and the staff here was helpful and overall super chill. We talked story for a bit, exchanged where we like to go diving and even some fish recipes. If you're looking for diving gear, support local and check out Westside Dive!

I've been dropping by every time we're back on the islands for over 20 years, and it's still the first stop off the plane. I will say though, service can be a little rough sometimes. Some days are good, some days not so much. But honestly, that's never been the point of this place. You're not coming here for some polished haole sales pitch of some sort, you're coming because these guys know what they're doing and they'll get you what you need so you can get back in the water. And that's where they really shine. Need a j tube? They've got it. Need a new band? They can fab it up in like 5 minutes so you can still make it to the spot on time. They almost always have exactly what I need in stock and at a fair price. You'll see some of the best divers in the islands and honestly, some of the best in the world just casually stopping in. The shirts and designs are also totally underrated. They've got their own local style and I've of course picked up a few over the years and they hold up good. Hanapa'a is one of those rare functional places you can always rely on. it's rooted in the community, and it delivers when it counts. If you dive, you already know. If you don't, this is where you start. Just don't be a Karen and you'll be good.

Great service!…read more December 30, 2015 We were able to take advantage of this place because of the military status of my sister-in-law, my late brother was in the U.S. Army. This is a one-stop place that offer special discounts to some of the best attractions and activities on Oahu and the neighboring islands. MWR stands for morale, welfare, recreation for Hawaii military personnel. We were assisted by an employee named Joshua. They had a numbering system to which you take a number and you will be helped when your number is called. We didn't know to do this but he came out and helped us immediately once we walked in the door. Perhaps it wasn't that busy at the moment yet. Joshua was helpful, witty and informative. He gave us pricing, best deals, and answered all our questions. He was patient with us and assisted us till the booking was finalized. We inquired about a tour at the Pearl Harbor, the Polynesian Cultural Center, and a place for a luau. We finally settled on Paradise Cove for a luau and some of our family members are going to the Polynesian Cultural Center. Aside from luaus they also offered discounts on shows, dinner cruises, tours and activities on land and on the water, event tickets, mainland theme parks and lots more! Glad our military have this place to get cheap tickets.. they deserve much more. This is located at the Naval Station in Pearl Harbor. Thank you, Joshua! Review #0406

I have scuba dived all over the world, and the professionalism, kindness, and fun energy from this crew really stood out. My husband attempted to snorkel, and the staff went above and beyond to make sure he felt comfortable despite his fear of the water and worries about seasickness. A huge thank you to Patrick, who showed incredible patience, kindness, and the perfect bedside manner while helping him. It meant so much to us. I originally chose Dive Oahu because I met their team at a scuba diving convention and immediately fell in love with the generosity and positive vibes they brought to their booth. Every year they treated me like a long time friend. When I finally dove with them in person today, that same family atmosphere was there with every single staff member on the boat and in the shop. After this trip, I can honestly say Dive Oahu feels like family now. A special shoutout to Captain Adam for his incredible hospitality both at conventions and on the boat. He brings the perfect balance of professionalism, humor, and genuine friendliness that makes you feel welcome the moment you step aboard. I also want to recognize Jeff, who was teaching a Discover Scuba Diving course on the boat. Watching him work with his students was impressive. He was professional, attentive, and clearly passionate about helping new divers succeed. His humor and relaxed attitude made it feel like meeting a long lost friend. And of course thank you to Jacob (aka Sir Fabio), our scuba tour guide, who did an amazing job guiding us through the reefs. He found nudibranchs, eels, and some absolutely gigantic sea turtles, and made the dive both exciting and relaxed. From start to finish, the entire experience was fantastic. If you are looking for scuba diving in Oahu, snorkeling tours, discover scuba experiences, or reef dives with a professional and friendly crew, Dive Oahu is the place to go. I cannot wait for my next dive trip with Dive Oahu. Highly recommend

This is their shop location where they fill tanks, etc. I have been bringing my scuba tanks here for hydro testing (required every 5 years). They are one of the very few companies that do the hydro testing themselves. Some of the other companies bring it to another company for it. So why pay more when you can go direct! Tank fills here are $5 each. I also bring my tanks here for Visual Inspection (VIP). Only $10! Very reasonable! One catch here is that you can't expect to have your tanks filled while you wait. Just drop off your tanks here and pick them up after 1 or 2 days. When you plan to go, call the shop first to make sure someone will be there so you don't waste a trip/time. They're really good at answering the phone. I've worked with Caleb (sp?) and Andrew and they are very good at communicating and keeping me in the loop with status on my tanks and when they'll be at the shop. From what I can see, you don't have to worry about not finding parking on the weekends. Some stalls are labeled for the other businesses next door, but they're not working on the weekends. For anyone of you who know how much work it is to lug/carry tanks back and forth, you'll appreciate how you don't have to walk far from the car to their shop area. Some other dive shops are located in busy mall areas and sometimes you have to carry your tanks across the parking lot (and we'll carry two of them at a time just to save a trip because that's human nature!) I really love the customer service here. The staff are super nice and laid back. I never feel rushed or unappreciated as a customer. Definitely coming back here when I need to service my gear and whatever else I need for my tanks. Thanks guys! Keep up the good work!

They messaged me once with vague, incomplete information that didn't clarify anything--then completely stopped responding. I called, emailed, and texted multiple times, but was ignored every step of the way- just an automated message which begins "Aloha!" This isn't just bad customer service--it borders on a scam. They take your money and disappear. If they respond to this review, it will be ironic to only respond to customers when their reputation is at risk--because apparently, the only thing they value more than your money is their online reputation. Avoid Dive Center Hawaii at all costs. They will exploit people by taking their money and disappear. That's how theft works, I suppose. To profit through deceit is to build on sand; collapse is not a question of if, but when.
