This store deserves ZERO STARS. My husband went to this store on 10/3/25. He asked the lady with red hair, "Do you have live bait?" There were other customers around and a coworker standing next to her, and her response was, "Yeah, in the ocean." That was an incredibly rude and unprofessional way to respond to a simple question. She clearly showed no interest in her job or in providing good customer service. I'll never come back here again, this store and manager needs to IMMEDIATELY train its staff on basic respect and professionalism. read more

I had a great experience this morning diving the Sea Tiger with our DM, Justin, and Capt. Adam. The boat briefing was comprehensive as was the dive site briefing. I have more than 1,400 dives and have been on the Sea Tiger many times before. Today happened to be the day when my mask decided to break apart at depth. Justin was aware, asked if I was okay (I was fine), and was on top of the situation even though I am a self-reliant, self-contained diver. I appreciated the extra set of eyes on me in addition to my buddy. The crew had a spare mask that I used for the second dive. I loved diving with Justin and Adam and will be back with them on the next trip. It was also nice to be able to pick up a new mask at the shop so I am ready to go for tomorrow's dives! read more

I purchased a snorkel, mask and cap. 6 days later, I returned to ask for a refund for the $29.00 cap. They immediately pointed to their sign that said no refunds only exchanges. Okay, but the cap was not worn and still had the tag and it was only 6 days. After speaking with their manager, she said it was their policy and would not deviate from their store policy. Being a former retailer in Hawaii for 35 years, my customers always came first and sometimes a policy had to be excepted to keep a customer happy. Not for Dive Oahu. I guess they have so many customers they do not need any more. FYI. Their prices are high and do shop Amazon. I found the same merchandise for up to 20% off and returnable until 1/31/26! And the local retailers wonder why their customers go ONLINE. I always choose local first but when their attitude is like Dive Oahu, why bother. read more

Wow! I went in to upgrade my freediving gear and there was so much selection! I was overwhelmed with options and colors so I asked for some help. Ann was great. She answered all my questions and helped me narrow down what mask to get. She went in the back outside over three times to help me find the perfect fins. Another gentlemen came to help answer some of my other questions, but I can't remember his name. He was very knowledgeable and explained all the products to me. I was stuck between what type of snorkel to get and he laid out all the pros and cons. The staff here are fantastic. I'll definitely be coming back here again! Parking is easy in their lot. Plenty of spaces. Only caveat though is that you have to have a military ID to pay. Prices are great because there's no tax. Highly recommend! read more

Staff is friendly, helped with sizing boots and fins for snorkel/scuba. Fairly good selection for on island, they did not have my size boot at this particular branch, so I paid and picked up a pair at the Keawe location. Not sure about comparable pricing as I've not done the research, but much like anything else online vendors probably have better pricing with a longer delivery. Do watch out they charge you correctly as they explicitly say no refunds. Notice the tag for Seawing Supernova size S indicates $279.00, yet I was charged $299.00. read more

I've never had any issues, but today I did. I always wear my 3/5mm wetsuit and people don't want to give me the weight I need. Here, no problem, but I needed 4 more lbs. Jim was our dive instructor/guide and he was absolutely fantastic. I thought after my struggle, we would be treated poorly (it has happened before to my husband) and that should never happen AND it didn't!! Our second dive was reef and I was a bit hesitant to take my camera, but my husband grabbed it and I'm glad he did. I took it over and got some great shots. We were the only two on the boat, which made it fantastic. I would not hesitate to Dive Oahu again. Thanks guys, professional top to bottom. read more

Dive Oahu moved their Navy Exchange location from the Main Exchange to the Garden Center Annex facing the NEX Pick Up center. Nice big storefront, they have a wide selection of fishing, spear diving gear and a wide variety of apparel in addition to scuba gear. They'll also refill air tanks with a discount for club members. It's great to have another full service dive shop in town! Will repeat and recommend! read more

My son and I did the sunken ship and horseshoe reef dive. The equipment was top rate. The trip included everything we needed: wetsuit top, fins, BCD/regulator, tank, weights. We had snorkel and mask. The dive master gave a quick safety brief of the boat, dive safety measures. Checked everyone's 02 at regular intervals, safety stops. The water was clear. On the boat: there were free snacks, soda, and water available. The boat decks were well cleaned and equipment organized. Overall, the dive experience was spectacular! read more

Completed Dive master certification with this company and I would highly recommend them for all your scuba training or dive charters. The instructors are awesome. For me it was starting open water with instructor Violet without whose patience and motivation I would not be successful. Then completingDive master with Jeff and Roger as my instructors. The entire staff are professionals. they will not compromise safety but will ensure your success if you are willfully to do your part. I also had the opportunity to dive on some of the charters and observe the interaction of staff with customers. I was very impressed and this company will be my first choice and recommendation for anyone visiting the island with an interest in snorkeling or scuba diving adventures. read more

Had an awesome time getting Open Water Dive Certified through Dive Oahu! This location had everything we needed gear wise and the staff were so incredibly helpful and knowledgeable. Our instructors, Walter and Colton, were a huge part of why we had such a great time; awesome guys with incredible experience and knowledge! They were very funny and engaging while still efficiently teaching everything we needed to know. So grateful they were patient and quick at solving hiccups so we could get back to diving whenever minor problems occurred. The boat crew was also incredible and made our last day of diving so enjoyable! We saw so many cool things: turtles, fish, octopus, and even a Trident's Trumpet! Best experience ever. 10/10 would recommend this company to anyone looking for dive certification and a great time. read more

Ordered a JBL part and almost 1 and a half month still has not arrived. Said it takes 1-2 weeks. Came on the third week and followed up every week after that. They couldn't give me a status. On the 5th week they called the regional manager and got a call back from the store manager. Store manager said it'll be in by the end of the week and that they'll give me a call. I am still here on the 7th week asking about the order. Cashier called the manager and now waiting for a call back. About to be 40 mins in and still nothing. Wanna get some stuff get it at another dive shop others than dive oahu. Even though they carry the brand their service sucks. Might as well go Walmart for better service. read more

Friendly staff but way overpriced. Purchased about $150 worth of items not knowing how overpriced it was. Found at AAFES for 1/4 of the price and purchased gear there. Attempted to return and they refused to refund to our credit card. Only offered store credit, but WE LIVE IN TEXAS so that's a bunch of bullsh*t! DO NOT SHOP HERE. Went to buy some dive booties and a new mask. I asked the sales clerk for help and she stated that she can't recommend because every face is different. She said go try them on and if they stick to your face it's a good fit. All I wanted was suggestions. Anyway went to pay for dive socks and she asked for military ID. Some of my friends recommended to go there and stated you don't need ID but apparently you do. I will stick to local business. Don't waste your time. read more

Pretty decent selection and price is on par with amazon. Issue I have is, I bought a mask. No one says anything to me about the return policy when I checked out. If I known that If I wore the mask in the ocean, I wouldn't be able to return it, I would have tested it out in my bathtub or whatever first. I bought the mask on 2 July, my girlfriend used it on 4th of July and complained about a leak in the mask, I used the mask to see what she was talking about. It leaked so bad, it was unusable. I bring the mask back after the long weekend and when I walk in the shop they start showing me other more expensive masks, when we decide on a mask they tell me I cannot exchange the mask I had cause it went in the water........thanks for telling me when I purchased it.....and thanks for wasting my time. Won't return to this shop, I'll buy our masks on Amazon. If you want people to buy from brick and mortar stores, offer something that would set you aside from online stores.....amazon would have taken the mask back. Just saying. read more
