If you want to rent a surfing board for few weeks in west & central oahu, you should rent it from here. Period. I stayed at Oahu for a month, and decided to get a surfing board for 3+ weeks. As surfing board is very expensive, I checked different options including buying a new one from Costco or Walmart, buying used ones from different places including craiglist. renting from different places. Bob gave me special discount for longer period, so I think I eventually got the best deal comparing all the options! This is not all. He delivered a surfing board and gave me an hour lesson about basics of surfing. I had an hour lesson from Moku (Waikiki), but I think I learned more from Bob. As you know, this lesson will cost $100+ normally. Well, this is not included at all, but he was very passionate about surfing (heard that he moved from mainland to Hawaii because of surfing!!!) and talking about it just got longer. Just talking about surfing with Bob made me very excited about the surfing. I can feel the passion for surfing from Bob. He is someone running this business out of passion, not necessarily to make money. :) This is not all. He just brought together paddles so that I can use for paddleboard, life jacket, water shoe, even kits to carry surfboards with my car. Other shops very likely charge all of these separately. Every time I visit Hawaii I take a surf lesson. My private lesson with Bobby was the best experience so far!
