My wife and I got our Open Water, Advanced Open Water, and Enriched Air Diver certifications with Dive Oahu during Memorial Day week, and we had an incredible time! Big thanks to our instructors Kyle, Katie, and Heather -- they were professional, patient, and made the learning process fun and stress-free. Also really appreciated our boat captain and other dive guides, who made each trip smooth and enjoyable. We explored Turtle Canyon, several beautiful shallow reefs, and did wreck dives at the YO-257 and San Pedro -- all unforgettable experiences. Highly recommend them to anyone looking to get certified or just enjoy some great diving in Oahu!

My husband and daughter went diving this morning. It was her first real dive after getting certified, and at the end of the first dive she was stung by a box jellyfish. It was a mom's worst nightmare phone call. The owner Brian and all the employees were so helpful and knowledgeable. They took amazing care of her! I cannot recommend and thank this dive team enough. Thank you from the bottom of my heart! My husband will be calling to schedule another dive for later this week. They are both excited to go down again! And my daughter is looking forward to a fully completed dive with her dad and her grandpa.

My wife and I did a private two-tank scuba dive with Dive Oahu during our honeymoon, and it was one of the absolute highlights of our trip! Nacho was our captain and a total pro -- skilled, friendly, and a blast to hang out with. Heather was our dive instructor and couldn't have been better. She was super patient, helpful, and made us feel completely at ease as beginner divers. We saw turtles, tons of fish, and even a pod of spinner dolphins! Huge thanks to Nacho and Heather for making it such a fun and memorable experience!

We went on Aug 8th, 2024 on The Discover Scuba and my Girlfriend went on the two-tank certifying dive, She had a great dive with Adam. This was my first time doing scuba ever, it was amazing. I went to Turtles on Stress-Relief and my Instructor Colt was so knowledgeable and this guy made me feel super safe. I got so close to the Turtles, that had to be the closest in my life. On the 9th we went on the Fireworks cruise at night and the bottom of the boat was lit up, The Waikiki skyline at night was mesmerizing I also went to the Surf lessons on the 12th and Instructor Michael was great!! We will definitely be back and will be using Dive Oahu again.

We've been loyal customers of Dive Oahu for years now, all the way from certification to casual dives on vacation. We've always had pleasant experiences with Dive Oahu; their boats are clean, the rented gear performs well, the dive masters do an excellent job of guiding dives and keeping everyone safe. And they even offer a military discount! If you're looking for a dive operator in Honolulu, I'd highly recommend Dive Oahu.

Best DM ever. The entire crew made this dive the best. Mahalo to all.... Darryl

The best dive boat on the south side. Crew was great and made this trip the best ever. keep up the great work. Mahalo nui.

The Vinson crew.. we all loved it!

Amazing crew. We did the 2 tank reef dive today, and I was very nervous because it had been 7 years since my last dive. On top of that, I broke my hip last year and had hyper-extended both of my knees before this dive. The crew was outstanding. Jared was our dive guide. He and the rest of the crew took great care of me and let me take my BCD off on the water and hand it to them. They were so kind. I would recommend this Co. to anyone. Nice job, guys! We will definitely be back.

Great dive operator! Highly professional, fun and safe Captains, Instructors and Divemasters. They're boat is large, clean and well organized and they use excellent gear. My compliments to my Divemaster, Alex. He did a great job. As an instructor, myself, I was very impressed with way he managed our group. We had someone with ear issues, a new diver, and a self professed air hog. He managed 6 of us with all of our issues, kept us together and helped point out cool sites. I'd suggest allowing highly experienced divers buddy-up and dive without mixed Divemaster led groups or even running the occasional trip just for those divers. I'd definitely dive with them again!

Dan was fantastic from start to finish, making everyone feel comfortable, safe, and welcome. One thing we especially appreciated was the small group size. It created a much more personal experience, allowed for individual attention, and made all of us feel relaxed. Dan did a great job balancing safety and fun, and he was wonderful with our teenagers. The diving was great (saw eels, turtles, rays, lots of fish) and the entire operation was professional, organized, and easy to work with start to finish.

This was one of the most disappointing dive experiences I've ever had…read more We are relatively new divers and booked this trip looking for a fun, safe, and well-guided experience. What we got instead was poor dive management and a complete lack of professionalism. During the dive, I ran out of air, which is a serious and dangerous situation in scuba diving. The response from the guide was dismissive and poorly handled, which only made the situation worse. The most frustrating part of the entire experience was dealing with Gabe, the owner. He had absolutely no patience and was openly unprofessional, not just with us but in the way he interacted with others as well. There was no concern for how unsafe the situation was, no accountability, and no attempt to make things right. For an activity where safety, trust, and professionalism are critical, this operation fell short on every level. We paid nearly $700 and walked away feeling stressed, unsafe, and completely disappointed. I would strongly caution newer or less experienced divers before booking here. This is not the kind of environment where you feel supported or safe.

I'm the girl who wants to go snorkeling even though she gets sea sickness and can't really swim…read morebecause I love animals and I want to experience snorkeling with turtles and fish at least once in my life. We did the turtle tour on 5/13 at 8:30 in the morning. They teach everyone how to use the given gear, they antifog the goggles beforehand and sanitize all the gear well afterwards. They have snacks, water, and ginger ale. We saw two turtles within a couple arms lengths at the surface (you can't touch them but gosh they were so close!). We also saw about seven turtles chilling on the bottom. Tons of reef fish swimming so close to us too. The crew makes sure to point out turtles so you don't miss them. It was my first time in open water and the crew was welcoming from the start. They separate the groups so if you can't swim or are not great at swimming, you can stay back and hold onto a blue mat in the water where they teach you and help you feel comfortable in open water first. Even though I vomited afterwards (yes I took plenty of motion sickness medication ahead of time!), I highly recommend the experience. It's unlike anything else. The crew is so funny, they normalized not being able to swim well or motion sickness so you don't feel embarrassed. They get in the water with you (not all crews do!) and were super attentive, and encouraging. I felt safe enough that I was able to learn, get confident in the water and join the others and I still felt like I had plenty of great snorkeling time. Overall, GREAT company for actually seeing turtles! GREAT for inexperienced swimmers and people who get motion/sea sickness! If you're determined, you can still do it. The crew made me feel safe the entire time! You've got this, you only live once!

Whereas other shops wanted to charge me for a full on course, Captain Maddie set me up with her dive-master sister, Ashley. Ashley did a refresher on our way out then made sure I had a great, safe experience for my first time back in the water, taking me on two shallow reef dives. We saw so many turtles, eels, a shark and several octopuses (Ashley has an incredible eye for spotting them). I had such a great time I booked another dive. This time, noting my comfort level, Ashley took me on two deeper wreck dives. They were spectacular. I'm so grateful I found Ruckus, Maddie and Ashley. There are a ton of options for diving on Oahu and I really lucked out choosing them. The personal focus the sisters gave me both times was above and beyond. I can't wait to come back to Hawaii and go diving with them again and again.

I am just coming off my discover dive with Captain Derick and Toby as our guide and have nothing…read morebut deep gratitude for my experience. I hardly write reviews but their considerate and meticulous service made for an unforgettable experience. Many companies offer discover scuba lessons in Oahu so I called a few to understand the itinerary before making a decision. I spoke with Toby, he welcomed all questions and gave an honest glimpse of what the experience would be. He was also courteous enough to let me know that they might reschedule our reservation in case they don't have enough people to meet a minimum for the boat. This did happen but the company let me know this promptly well in advance and even followed up to remind me about completing e-learnings etc. Fast forward to the day of the scuba and my mother & I met with Toby and the captain on Diamond T II, their boat along ala moana. The captain did a quick lay down of the safety instructions and Toby walked us through the nuts and bolts of diving - key skills, sign language, etc. The crew split us into parties of two each. The sea was a little choppy and I was feeling a little sea sick so I asked the cap if I go jump in the water till the first pair finished their training and dive and he even gave me snorkeling gear!! This was a great way to kill time and also get a preview of the dive ahead. The cap also encouraged my mother to join me and despite her fear of water, she felt at ease in doing so. This half an hour was unexpectedly enjoyable as we were able to interact with some marine life and my mother felt more comfortable being in water. We then got into our gear, which was labeled, super clean and hygienic, and proceeded to do our training session with Toby in the water. This was the highlight of our experience as jumping in a water can be pretty daunting with heavy gear, especially if you run into tricky problems like water in the mask or your regulator. Despite my mother running into these frequently, Toby was incredibly patient and relentlessly made an effort to do her skill training without rushing her. Unfortunately, she was feeling pretty sea sick and also tired by her time in the water so she decided to pause but Toby and I carried on into the water. We spent a serious amount of time close to the ocean bed, Toby was alert yet let me free roam in the water so I gained some confidence too. I was surprised by how clear the water was and we saw plenty of fish, it was magical. On returning, I found out that my mother got sick on the boat so the cap helped her with a pair of goggles, some jelly, and light humor to alleviate her motion sickness. The crew was highly aware of most passengers feeling sick so they expedited our return to the waterfront. I fail to see how this experience could've been more enjoyable and how this crew could've been more considerate to first time divers. Thank you so much for this!!

Afterwards, I asked Captain Derick if he had any recommendations on new fins to purchase and he gave me many good recs, asking about my style of kicking and what I want underwater. Very helpful. Overall, I had an excellent experience at a very fair price! I highly recommend diving with Aloha!
