I enjoy my time when playing inside the arena. However, the prices they offer for anything that isin't Green Gas are overpriced compared to just ordering online. Their prices for repairs is also absurd. The owner (Ernie) tries his hardest to upsell you even after giving him your budget. If you do want to go to Epower, ONLY go there for their indoor arena or their Green Gas if your in a hurry. Everything else, you can save a lot more money when ordering online or just go to a different store, I highly recommend Power Edge Tactical. The only thing I would say about Power Edge Tactical is to always call him to see if hes open before going since he does sometime close up shop for various reasons but will almost always open back up after some time. To go more in-depth, I bought a Glock18 about a year ago from Evike.com (an online airsoft store) and when the slide started to stick, I asked what had happened to it since I never had this happen to me before. The workers inside told me its because of the Green Gas build-up inside my gun and all I had to do is take it apart and clean it, which I did. This then turned into a tragedy when I accidentally broke one of the springs (I don't know which one) and I had to get it fixed. Mind you, before this incident, Ernie has nothing but helpful and kind to me because I always recommended his services as the Epower brand and so on. Anyways, I went to get help and the workers told me the part to fix it will cost $15 and $60 for 1 hour of repair. I told them I can't afford these prices and questioned them on why the spring costed so much when its just a tiny little thing. They said it's because it only works with this brand of Glock and transporting them costed money as well and so its to support their local business spiel again. I then question why repair is so high just to repair one spring and they responded with "We will need to take out these pins which will remove everything inside the gun and it will take a long time to put it back into place." While also reasoning because its their standard rate for Gas Blow Back guns. Ernie then found me and told me I can rent an AEG for $10 for the rest of the day while my gun is in repair, but I only brought enough cash with me to pay the entry fee so I am completely broke. I asked if they can just do a 1 time deal where they can let me rent it for today and I can pay them back later but said he couldn't do that. I told them I will hold onto it for now and I left after already spending $30 to play in their arena and then drove back home to talk with my roommate about what had happened. He told me that he will handle it and to just wait till he fixes it; So I did. After like an hour or so, he came back to me and told me its all fixed. He explained that its a relatively easy repair as long as you know what your doing and I didn't even need to pay him because he went through the same struggles dealing with Epower when he was a beginner like me. In conclusion, I wouldn't recommend Epower for anything they are selling since they are quite overprices, especially once you see their more "intermediate" and above airsoft guns. Their beginner guns are less costly but its always cheap and prone to break after a year or 2 of use. Go to other stores online or to another store on the island like Power Edge Tactical when buying anything else besides Green Gas just because it's a pain when trying to buy them online (from my personal experience.) The workers I enjoy being with, its just the owner that just wants to suck everything out of you so he can profit more. read more

The folks at Epowersports are knowledgeable and friendly. I was new to airsoft, so I didn't know where to begin. I planned to only play at their indoor arena and they were helpful in determining what airsoft guns would be suitable for that gameplay and within my price range. I purchased a shotgun and pistol and both have worked out great in their arena. I also bought a tracer unit and extra magazine. They have everything you need there.   Their arena is perfect for close quarter battles. Matches are pretty quick (no more than 5 mins). They run 3-4 matches back to back, so even if you get eliminated early you don't wait long to get back in there. Then they take short breaks to reload, then back in the arena for another 3-4 matches, and repeat. The field marshalls do a good job in communicating and keep the matches organized so everyone knows what's going on. They've reconfigured the barricades pretty often, so the arena has been different every time I've played. They also have guns and masks to rent if you don't have any gear. They're an awesome one stop shop for everything airsoft! read more

Sadly, I am going to get into it. We (two sisters) made our fourth trip in a month into the store. We always left wondering if it was just us. No more wondering. It isn't just us. The first time we were helped by a young man who was very nice, explained the difference in the bb sizes and the deals being offered that day. The older gentleman there added comments about the specials. Not so bad. Second trip there, we went looking for additional magazines for a particular airsoft pistol. Same older gentleman proceeded to tell us that he didn't carry that particular pistol because nobody wanted it and it was poor quality. Not so, and it was pretty ridiculous to say that to somebody who clearly had one and needed to purchase peripheral items. Just a "sorry, no" would have worked better. Great service would have been a suggestion as to what might be a more reliable choice, and why. Third trip took us in to purchase a gun that we would spend a little more to get immediately rather than ordering online and waiting. Wow. That experience was eye-opening. Got the patronizing version of a safety briefing. If you're a female shooter, you probably know of what I speak. Final trip we made after referring a family member who asked us to meet them there. Embarrassing. They were interested in purchasing two pistols, green gas, and bb's. At least a $500 sale. We left empty-handed and will never return or send anyone else there. We could purchase but not handle due to Covid. One of the handguns was to be used by a small framed female (legal aged), and her grip is small. No effort was made by anyone to recommend anything. "I don't make the policy. I'm not the owner. He is." Kudos' to the person who will buy any kind of handgun without picking it up first. Disposable Gloves? Wipes? Hand sanitizer? Just so you don't think we know nothing, we regularly train with the real thing, take classes annually at a premier training facility in Nevada, and one of us actually is a qualified NRA instructor. Why airsoft? Lack of ammo, continue work on draw, sight acquisition, and trigger pull. Just shop where the assumptions don't make you feel bad. All the reviews that sent us there weren't our experience. We are new to Airsoft, so it would have been nice to be treated better because we definitely would like some of the things there. I'm a totally newbie to this whole air soft thing. I had no idea of what options I had or what would be the best choice! Their selection looked impressive and the shop was neat and well organized. Within 2 minutes of my explanation - Jordan and Elliot had a few pieces on the counter with a very quick yet accurate set of options! After making my selection, they spent time explaining how to use the gun and set me up with everything I need. Both guys were very informative considering I really didn't even know what questions to ask! A bit over due review but here it goes. I went into epowersports on a Sunday about 2 months ago just to look at guns as my knowledge on airsoft is very slim. I had previously purchased an airsoft gun from another airsoft shop on the island just as a tool to help me train my sight alignment for real steel. But now I really wanted to try out the sport and get out and play. Needless to say I received a way different experience from this shop. They were not only extremely knowledgeable but also very honest and helpful. At no moment did I feel like they were just trying to make a sale. I feel like the folks here could teach a whole college course on airsoft if that ever becomes a thing. I ended up leaving the shop with a gun, a cool mock can for it and some things I would need to shoot the gun. I initially did not expect to get out and play immediately so I held off on some other things I would need so that I could fit everything into my monthly budget for "fun things". I ended up back here a couple more times to pick up more mags and eye protection. As far as pricing goes I believe that the guns are cheaper here than they would be online after you factor in shipping cost. They also have deals constantly. Went in to have my discontinued (not used!) KSC G-series (Glock 19) looked at. Hammer was locked in up position and have to be pulled back down (which was done as a no charge / simple fix)...great customer service...you will not be disappointed. Clean and well laid out, organized shop, good inventory of air soft arms and accessories. Believe they have been in business for 11 years so no "fly by night". Worthwhile to check them out. Ernie is the President of E-Power and Kevin is the Manager...very knowledgeable and pleasant to deal with. In my opinion, you should backdoor getting to E-Power (Kamehama Hwy traffic can get a bit dicey). Take Moanalua Road then down Hekaha and then turn left on Kanuku and down towards Kamehameha Hwy and go pass the Waimalu Shopping Center driveway and make an "immediate" right turn into the adjacent E-power driveway and parking lot (great parking!). Most awkward experience I've had at any independent store. They sold me a way higher voltage battery than I wanted and because they don't let anyone look over what they're buying personally, I didn't notice until I got home. I was being stared at by two dudes the whole time and I felt really pressured to buy something or leave. Really overpriced on most things, but a decent deal on some things. Best airsoft shop on the island! I went in with no knowledge of airsoft guns and wanted to start by target shooting. I was browsing a little but and the shop owner, Ernie asked if I needed any help. I told him I dont know much about airsoft and made some recommendations about what would be a good starter gun. I ended up getting a glock 17, bbs, green gas and he even threw in a free speedloader! Went back a few times and also purchased several more airsoft guns and accessories. I checked the internet prices along with the stores and maybe there was only like a $10-20 markup but it's a business and with high rent in Hawaii I understand how every business struggles. But with the service they provide and how they still take care of you after I would say it's more than worth it. I know nothing about airsoft guns. Went down today and was cheerfully greeted, and the sales guy took his time to explain everything to me. He demo'd a few of the guns, I wasn't able to hold them myself due to Covid-19 safeguards.
