Went there last Monday, friendly owner Tony. I'm a newbie in the gun world but for a 750 dollar AR15, I believe that was a good deal. He was willing to work with me on paying half with cash and card. Gave me a first time buyer discount and some better knowledge of how the AR15 works. He also explained the process of getting a permit for hand guns as well. I will be returning to him in the future for more rifles. Went to other shops before him and I believe he has the best sales/deals. Other shops have 2 or more guys working and not 1 was concerned when I walked in. Even with just him in the shop, along with 4 other customers, he was able to do business with me as well. Just went in to check things out, and well you know how that goes... Was looking for a new side arm, and got interested in AR so what's the difference between a Gas Piston AR or Direct Impingement AR well didn't know the difference myself to be honest LoL but learned a lot in a short amount of time from Tony. Besides, that was able to take a long look at the side arms from various manufactures that he had in stock. Guns seem to be flying off the shelves since this is an election year so what's one supposed to do with the higher prices of units and ammo??? Have to admit Tony takes the pride in his shop very clean organized and friendly service to say the least not like other place I won't mention. Purchased a banana mag for my .22 from here. It was more expensive than the ones I saw at Sports, but it was much better quality. Recently, I was looking for snap caps, but Security Equipment was was sold out, so I decided to stop by Gun Source again. He sells metal ones, not the plastic ones. The owner is really friendly and he answers all of your questions. I was originally into rifles, but I recently got into pistols. I'm really new to the sport and I like that the owner actually takes the time to talk to you and teach you things. He doesn't give any attitude and isn't sarcastic at all. This is a really great shop. Good selection of firearms and the customer service is awesome. The owner is very friendly. He does have a good sales pitch regarding some firearms and steered me to a cheaper and better gun (providing his reasons why and those of others). This one is gonna be short and sweet. Sometimes that's best for great shops like this. Every time I've gone here the owner has been friendly, helpful, and professional. Would you look at that, pretty much what every other review has said, that's cool. He's very knowledgeable and always took time to answer my questions, never made me feel foolish for asking newbie questions. Gotta appreciate that. The parking lot is a little small, but there's street parking in the surrounding area. A while back I took a few girl friends of mine here to pick up peppers spray and tactical flashlights for them. Went here during the past gun control panic around January. There were quite a few AR15s. A couple PWS and an entry level Bushmaster AR. Tried to sell me the bushmaster for $2300. I can maybe understand $400 mark up which some shops were doing, but a $1200 mark up. Sorry, maybe if it was Noveske, BCM, or Larue. read more

Cool guy! Very knowledgable! Return policy sucks! I bought a side saddle for my shotgun and didnt want it! He said there was a 30 day return policy on the receipt! I said there's nothing printed on the receipt then he tells me "oh I just changed the receipt format"! I called 3 days after the 30 day return policy! This review is a long time coming. Tony is an awesome guy, and very professional when it comes to customer service. Over the last couple of years, I've bought a semiautomatic handgun and a pump shotgun, both of which were very enjoyable experiences. Despite the new bogus law that was enacted yesterday (RapBack registration), I'll eventually make it in to purchase my first piston-driven AR rifle (he gave me an excellent run-down of the system). this place is really close to my house. some parking, haven't had trouble with that yet. the owner is really cool. I like that! Owner seems like a nice guy but trust me this is not the best lgs. Prices are pretty darn high and selection not great. Quoted me lower on the phone for the rifle I wanted to order, then all of a sudden the price changed once the credit card was handed over. It was supposed to take 2 weeks for the rifle to be shipped. There was a mistake and it ended up taking a month and a half. To "make up for it" he gave me a box of free ammo. However, he gave me the wrong ammo! A box of 30 carbine for my 30-30 win rifle that I just bought from him . Made me question his knowledge of hunting firearms. Also no test "charging or pulling triggers on any guns." I get it I don't go around dry firing all the guns at a gun store but if I'm going buy the thing I'm going to test the trigger. If dry firing a gun is going to break it then that gun sucks. You can tell the owner grew up in California and has his own idea of what a gun store is. Plus his friend, the genius from Honolulu firearms who thinks all 30-30 ammo is "frangible" was hanging out at the shop too talking his scholarly jive. (See review for Honolulu firearms) read more

This shop has most of everything you may need especially if looking for AR type rifles even at the height of the gun rush he had merchandise except for one period just b4 Obama laid out his proposals but then no one had inventory or much stock left. Anthony is the PWS dealer for Hawaii and even now is taking orders. If you missed out on the rush you may be interested in a PWS in either .223/.308 or the fancy one with expensive bullet....300 something or the other .I have purchased 3 rifles from him and one HK p-30 with no problems and excellent customer service. He even matched the price of the guys in Kalihi ..but at that time lines were long and the fact I had purchased a S&W MP wanted to do the permitting the same time since handguns are a hassle as we all know. Their is no rush and no forced sale, he explains everything to you and sends you on your way satisfied if by chance in the market for another piece will look him up. I am very satisfied. Those who may have trouble with their permits there is no restocking fee or wait for sale of weapon on consignment.....but check with him first if no permit full refund.....what a deal. read more
