After calling around to a couple of places and being told a number of times I could only get the work done at a dealer, Continental Transmission was able to quote me with a slightly lower rate for my car. Having been recommended to this shop by some friends I decided to go with them! To replace it they needed to tow my car to the dealer only to reprogram it, but overall they were able to get the job done at a lower rate than it would have been had I tried to take my car anywhere else. To that I am very grateful! It took about a week or so for them to get all of the work done. They called me when the work was finished and now my car is running the way it should be! The staff here was very friendly, they were straightforward with informing me of all of the things they had done to my car. No gender bias at all! Shifting is smooth, fast, quiet. The car is an absolute joy to drive. The cost was consistent with the estimate even though he found an issue that caused the check engine light to stay on. They were very accommodating when it came to the drop off. I was running late and they stayed a few minutes after close to receive my transmission. I got the transmission back sooner than expected and I was very happy with the price and quality of parts. I was able to speak with the gentleman who rebuilt it (George).
