These guys are great. Its located on Hinman, near Military, but if you drive too fast you will miss it. the sign is a smaller one, and its in the middle of a row of car and other type repair shops. So once on Hinman, drive slowly and look carefully for the sign. Went here for Carco report for insurance. All these years in Buffalo and my father did not know of this place. They were nice, helpful and we were in and out super fast. We will be back for our inspections and other things. The customer service here really was a pleasure. read more

What an unbelievably wonderful experience we had with Joe and Paragon Automotive! While traveling cross country our van suddenly started back firing and the service engine light started flashing. After pulling off the highway, we contacted many shops, but they were all booked out a few weeks. Finally, we were referred to Joe by an auto parts dealer. When Joe heard about our situation, he offered to squeeze us in the very next morning and would have done it that evening if he didn't have his daughter's rehearsal dinner to attend. They worked on it the first thing in the morning. By the time we finished breakfast, they had it running smoothly (it was a loose spark plug wire) and did complete diagnostics of the engine to make sure nothing else was wrong. Deserves all of its best ratings. Some jerk sideswiped my car, took off my side mirror and scratched up and dented my side. No collision insurance. Ouch. Paragon took care of me in an hour to replace the mirror. They were able to track down a used part that matched the color from a picture I sent them via phone. They were easy to work with, super kind and price was very reasonable. Although they are not a body shop, they did a little bit of work buffing out the scratches since one of their mechanics on hand had some experience to do so. I was grateful to have them fix my mirror and for being so easy to deal with. There is free wifi and a little lounge with a TV and a few chairs. Highly recommended! If you're looking for a down to earth, straightforward and honest mechanic, then this is the place to go. This is a family owned business that's been operating for 30 years in Buffalo. Although the location is pretty unassuming, Joe, the owner and his guys are great at what they do! I found this place first to do a vehicle inspection for my car insurance. I made the appointment very easily over the phone. I had alot of questions about the inspection and Joe patiently answered them all over the phone. The inspection was done by Joe who's friendly and insightful. The second time I made an appointment for an oil change and an vehicle inspection for my out of state vehicle registration. I missed my appointment and called Joe to reschedule. He was very understanding and still squeezed me in that day anyway. Again, everything was done swiftly and every question I had. Had to get a photo inspection for my insurance company and decided on this company. It was lightly raining out but they still took care of me and were able to take the photos (unlike Casullos which I had tried earlier). Everything was done within a half hour. I knew I felt like I had found the right "car guy" when I walked in the first time a few months ago for my vehicle inspection. Right away, I felt like I knew the owner for years and could trust him immediately - some people just give off that vibe, and I had a good feeling about the business. I then immediately regretted paying a ton of money fixing my car somewhere else last year. I would have much rather paid these guys. I had a headlight replaced a little bit ago at a different business and it cost kind of a lot of money for something I can probably do myself, but like supporting local businesses to do (plus I know very little about car mechanics). Lo' and behold, my other headlight went out recently (I hope it was the other one) and I took it to Paragon and the total cost was HALF THE AMOUNT. They quoted my headlight cheaper than the first place!!!! Now, prices aren't everything, and I'm very understanding of this. It's also not a deal-breaker, depending on what needs to be done. However, these guys have an incredible amount of professionalism and don't try to sell you anything or feel like you're asking stupid questions about your car. They also treat you with respect and like a neighbor and friend, which I really like. I now feel like I was sold stuff inappropriately elsewhere, and feel a bit ripped off because of it. I have to get some other work for my car and for any tune-up, problem, or issue, I would very very highly recommend these guys! They're fantastic! read more

I don't even know where to start with how great these guys are. Honest, trustworthy, knowledgeable, super polite, and very reasonably priced. I have an old car which needed a lot of work and Joe fixed it for a fraction of the price I was quoted at other dealers (and minus the condescending attitude I got at all the other places). All the quotes he gave me were exact and accurate, both online and in person, he presented me with all the options and set the priorities in order, and did a perfect job with everything. In short they know how to build a reputation and the line of cars in front of their shop is huge and ever growing. I am warmly recommending them to all my friends and I will very likely be going there as long as I live in Buffalo. I've been here three times and have found everyone courteous and professional. The receptionist Lacey is top notch: friendly, knowledgeable, helpful, and always on her game. The technicians have been great, taking time to explain and answer questions, and I have yet to discover any problems with their work (not that I looked, but nothing bad has happened, either). In two of the three visits, they did something without charge, one of which I didn't pay anything at all. The two times I paid, there were small extra charges I wasn't expecting on the bill: one was an extra procedure I would have declined had I been asked, the other was sales tax on a bill that was labor only, but neither was a big enough deal that I felt the need to complain considering the rates, work, and customer service are excellent. They do have a pretty decent waiting room for a small shop with one hour of free WiFi, good selection of reading material, cable tv and remote, power outlets, decent seating including a table to work on, stuff for kids. read more
