My strategy for finding any new third party is to read the reviews and try and synthesize the truth, speak to a decision maker and assess and finally ask for some quotes for the parts and labor. I spoke to four shops and of course everyone needs to see the job before finally committing and that scope can obviously change. Sam freely and patiently gave me some quotes for both (others couldn't get past - we need to see it), the quotes and the final pricing were both very fair and competitive. Mo communicated freely during the fix and heres the kicker and why we'll trust these guys moving forward. They easily could have turned the minor job into a relatively major fix and they didn't, the problem and solution was less in every sense than what I assumed it would be including their cost - great job the both of you!

They asked if I wanted anything else done - I said no. Charged me over $80 for the inspection (still $21) PLUS topping off fluids & removing (but NOT rotating) tires, etc. The bill also recommended oil change but said I declined (true, but now they CAN change oil on an Audi?!?!). When I challenged why the extra $60 of stuff beyond inspection was done, the owner justified it as that it is their policy to make sure car was in proper working order (including topping off fluids, etc.), that this was posted on their wall & said he'd talk to his staff to make sure this was more clear to avoid future "misunderstandings." $60 extra isn't the end of the world but this is obviously up-charging with a hand waving explanation. No way would I trust them with ANY type of repair.

I sat on hold for 40 minutes only to get disconnected and have to call back TWICE to get an answer from another staff member who had mentioned they were still waiting on a part to arrive. No communication from staff as I had to reach out multiple times a day to only hear "not sure what's wrong with it yet". Had major repairs done over the course of 4 days only to pick it up, drive a mile down the road and have the car enter low power mode because of an issue with the sensor they had installed already. After an entire day of diagnosis and waiting on another sensor to be ordered I got my car back. Bought 4 new tires that were not even filled and had no Air valves caps. Guy at the front handed me 4 new caps and I installed them myself. These guys will tell you what you want to hear to get you out the door and really doesn't seem like they care when your car is completed.

Well I drove another 15 Mi and then another 15 MI went back and he tested it and said nope you have to drive it some more well I got a cataract in my left eye and I can't drive it anymore another who knows how many miles??? I don't think he knows what he's doing I never heard of that before and now my inspection is 2 months overdue!! They are practical as far as doing only whats necessary, while advising what the near future might hold for your car, so I could plan. If there is a way for the customer to save money they will find it. Whether it's a rebate or maybe the top of the line product isn't necessary but a mid of the road part would work ok with the car, they will inform you. However if that's not the case they will tell you too. Chris and Todd (father and son) are very capable, intelligent and down to earth business men. Today was no different. My niece bought a starter from them a couple months ago & my SAE certified mechanic husband told her it stopped working. He gave it to me & told us to get it replaced. The PR cashier tested it & said it was fine. It works like new & there's nothing wrong with it. He asked my niece what sound it made & she said it didn't turn over when she turned the key. He said it could be the spark plugs, alternator or ignition switch but not the starter. He said he wasn't going to exchange it & got snippy when I said it had to be the starter, my husband said so. He told my niece to take her care to a real garage with a certified mechanic. I got real mad & left. My husband called them & asked for the district managers info. The cashier gave him a bogus name & number...so my husband went to one of their stores across town. The manager tested the starter & said it was no good. It was fried. He gave us the district managers name & number, so tomorrow, we'll be calling them. They all better hope they still have a job after I tell them how disrespectful and sexist I was treated, on top of either lying to me about the condition of the bad starter or not knowing how to operate their testing machine!
