Customer service has gone downhill since I was last there a few years ago. I dropped off my '20…read moreJeep GC wheels for new tires and road force balancing. I stripped the wheel weights off, cleaned the inside of the rims and deflated the tires for them. I made the deal and paid a deposit Monday Oct. 28th. Dropped off the wheels Oct. 29th and was told they might be done by 4 pm Oct 30th. They had to get the tires from their Lockport store. I called them at 4 pm Oct. 30th to check status. Not done. Called back Thursday Oct 31st. I was told they have to get the tires from the Lockport store (???) and they will be done Friday Nov 1st in the morning. I called back at 12:30 Nov 1st to check status. They are working on them right now. At 2:30 they are finally done. I get them...take them home and mount them. I looked at the date codes just out of curiosity. Normally 4 tires would have matching or close dates codes. 2 tires matched (2124) 1 tire is (3323) 1 tire is (4623). So 2 tires have been sitting for 1 year and 2 tire were made this year 2024. No apologies, no discount for my inconvenience. I will never ever do business again nor trust Tread City Tires.

I really hope it's not because I'm a woman, but that's honestly how it has felt. I recently went back only because I had originally bought my tires there. One tire had a slow air leak, and I figured it would be the easiest and cheapest place to have it fixed. Instead, I was told they couldn't even "touch" the tire because it had to be replaced--and then they told me all four tires needed to be replaced. I specifically asked them to only look at the one tire because I didn't want them trying to upsell me, but that's exactly what happened. After I got very frustrated and spoke with the manager, they suddenly agreed that only the one tire needed to be replaced. This isn't the first time I've had this experience. On three separate visits for tire-related issues, they also told me I needed new brakes. Each time, I got a second opinion, and every single time I was told my brakes were completely fine. At this point, I have no trust in this business. It feels like making money comes before being honest with customers. I won't be back, and I wouldn't recommend them to anyone looking for trustworthy service.

I almost always come here for my NYS car inspection and I was surprised when my car started making a rattling sound *after* they replaced a part for me. I came back two weeks later expecting the worst- that I'd have to pay again for service to fix something that might be a result of their recent work. I am SO RELIEVED I was wrong! In an hour they stoped the rattling sound with a simple tightening of my heat shield and sent me on my way- didn't have to pay any service fees. THANK YOU for keeping my trust! Ideally the heat shield would have been tightened properly the first time, but I also recognize the convenience and luxury of having people work on a car for me. These guys are always busy, so I still want to give 5 stars again just for keeping my trust! Who can blame them for having to work fast to see as many cars as possible in a day?

The employee was so nice & quick with looking up what size wiper I needed. He told me about the prices of them & the quality of each. I went with the Rain-ex. He even went to get it for me instead of making me search like the last time I needed one. It took me a bit to find it. Then I asked him if someone could pop it on for me & he said he'd do it. It was $25.99 for a 26" Rain-ex wiper. I checked out very quickly & he had my old wiper off & the new one on in about 45 seconds. Very nice , young employee. Manners & does his job. More employees everywhere should be like him.

I take care of my own vehicles as far as repairs and routine maintenance so I like to believe that my truck is mechanically sound. I brought my truck in for a simple nys inspection and I strongly believe that my truck was tampered with in order for them to suggest a service job. After about 45min of waiting for the inspection, one of the kids came back stating that I had a leaky brake line.... which according to my spotless driveway was a concerning lie. But after refusal of work i get back home and all of a sudden I'm leaking brake fluid from the front driver side. I assess the situation and find a line that looked to be tampered with. I fixed the line and ended up getting my nys inspection done elsewhere. Now I understand things happen, and parts wear, but in this particular situation, something didn't seem right. These guys are untrust worthy and unprofessional. Take your vehicle to a trusted professional.
