I brought my Porsche 911 there to get the transmission fixed. It took forever and when I got my car back the transmission failed again. I brought it back and again after many weeks they fixed it and said it was something it was not. I had my Porsche Mechanic look at it and he confirmed that they didnt put it back together correctly. Then I was driving my car shortly after that 2nd repair and while going around a turn my rear driver side tire flew off the car. Again the car went back to my Porsche mechanic and he informed me they over torqued the lug nuts which he confirmed by showing me the lug nuts and when checking the other tires he said most of them were stripped out and eventually would have gave out and could have ended in a terrible accident. The transmission repair was over $6,000 and the damage to the wheel, caliper and lugs was $4000 plus from their incompetency. NO ONE should trust this place and ID suggest reading more reviews and you will reconsider. I should have done my due diligence before taking my car there. would never take my car here to aamco in west seneca ever again or recommend anyone else to. took my car there for service as I had scheduled an appointment a week in advance. I told the guy Joe that I needed my car back the same day because I needed to be able to get to work and he said bring it in at 8:00 a.m. Needless to say I was strung along all day as I called for updates on my car. End of the story they kept my car there for 9 hours never even took the car in to look at, Caused me $60 in uber rides and that Joe had the audacity to give me attitude when I came to pick up my car and told him I would be taking it elsewhere as if he was the one that was done wrong. Back in 2017 we got a transmission for our 2008 escape v6 at the time it had 58K miles you guys did the transmission under an extended warranty plan we got from Basil. After it was fixed my wife picked it up, when I drove it the next day the exhaust was LOUD! Took it back and you guys forgot to put a bolt in! And from that day on the exhaust was never quiet. Then in 2019 my 2007 Impala trans broke so we took it to you guys at AAMCO. I got the car back in a week and it drove fine for all most one year. On my way to work one of the transmission cooler lines popped out and dumped out all the oil. I got stuck and had it towed back they told me it was a cooler line that popped out of the transmission. In 2022 my 2007 Impala left me stranded in an intersection when the transmission you guys did FAILD! The sprag Busted! I wonder if it was because 1 time all the oil in the transmission was dumped on the ground!? Now its 7/19/2022 and I am not kidding, on the way to work the transmission in the 2008 Escape starts to slip near the same spot! Lost 3rd ,4th and reverse slipping bad I barely made it to work. So now I have 2 transmission from you guys that did not even last over 5 years! You guys forgot a bolt. I hope that's the only one. And messed up an oil cooler clip that popped out under a year. I know how they work you push and they snap in. Someone did not push it in all the way. read more

I took my Subaru Forester in to get the transmission rebuilt. They kept the car for over a month after promising it would be done sooner. When the car was repaired all of the electrical lights came on my dash immediately after. I brought the car back three times and their final response was they do not fix electrical issues when they are the ones that caused it. I got a diagnosis done at AutoZone and the electrical transmission control system is broken. My mom spent 6000 to fix a car that had more issues after being fixed. When I contacted them for receipts none were given. I would highly recommend staying clear. If you go to their website they have even blocked people from posting newer reviews. This place is a complete scam! I would never go back. They owe my mother 6k and should be responsible for covering my repairs. read more

The reason i went here was my warranty with interstate star auto went through aamco for repairs. Last year my trans had issues at 35k miles or so, anyway they had it for two months. It wasn't to much of an inconvenience, we had a spare vehicle but still seemed like a long time. Mainly the reason I was told was they're waiting on parts. Okay, fine. Anyway after I got it back it was better but had a whine to it, I was told it's normal / fine. Alright not worth arguing, now I go back for a small repair which should have been covered under my warranty. They didn't bother listening when I told them my 4 year warranty is still active on the car but instead kept saying the one year warranty they gave me for the previous repair (rebuilt tranny $4400) expired.. that shouldn't matter I still have an active warranty on the vehicle for nearly everything... anyway I paid the $200 and called it a day. Well, I get it home and I didn't need to drive anywhere for a few days but when I got in today, I noticed they must have hit the door into something when it was open, the pic shows this piece on the bottom of the driver door with about half of the clips broken and a nice greasy hand mark on the headliner to top it off. Wouldn't advise doing an extended warranty repair here. They see a warranty as a cash cow for them and will upcharge and recommend replacements of parts that don't need replaced. Will not come back here. Replaced a whole transmission for a solenoid issue that the car still drove fine, just showed check engine light and slipped a little when shifting automatically. read more

I took my 2013 Jeep Wrangler here last winter after I lost third gear on my transmission. At the end of the day, it took them 3 weeks to rebuild the tranny and replace the torque converter. It ended up costing me $3500. I do regret not calling around for cheaper prices, but at the time, I just wanted to get that nightmare situation of being without a car over with and any transmission work will require at least a couple thousand to fix. But for me, the important thing is was it done right? Since I do a lot of driving, It was rebuilt at 120k, and I now have 150k miles on my car....30k miles on the transmission rebuild. Considering around 10-20% of rebuilds can fail, and when you do the driving that I do, you can easily blow through a warranty. While I have had some occasional rough shifting while driving in the city, it still has held up to the task. No major issues and it appears that they did a sound job on the rebuild and I am happy with the job done by this location and this Aamco. read more

I went there to get my oil filter housing changed and when I received the vehicle back I heard something grinding inside I immediately notified Duane which is the manger there he said some in Monday.....well unfortunately it was Friday night my steering wheel had got stuck and caused me to go up a curb along with damaging my front bumper and fender on a Chrysler 300s I then look under the car for any leaks Nd further damage I then noticed it was something red under the rack and pinion..that red object was a pair of Red SnapOn pliers lodge in between the rack and pinion I then called on Monday to let Duane know what I found he then said "yes I know one of my guys dropped something I told him don't worry about and to pull another vehicle in" I then asked him to pay for the damage which is completely in my right he then got pissed and said "your not going to tell me how to do my job I'll have the owner contact you and then hung up" it has been 3 days and I still have not heard from anyone read more

After being screwed and lied to by Paddock to have my 2010 Silverado transmission filter replaced and full guild changed and torq converter the price here is where and what it should cost. Everyone else wanted at least $40 dollars more to do the same job. Paddock lied to me. They wanted $230 to do Filter, full fluid change. But once I showed up they said no it's $600 then no it's $400. What? Glad I called Joe here! My appointment is tomorrow and can't wait for a new filter and full fluid change with new full synthetic fluid in my baby. Aka 2010 Silverado. They were great while trying to get me into their shop, promised me the world, told me they would need to keep my Mercedes Benz for 3 days, 6 days later I got my car back. they also said they would pay for my rental for the other 3 days ,never did. Also I have two cameras on my suv as I use it for work, I reviewed my footage and found one of the working driving around with the moon roof open and jamming on my Harmen Karden system,, so, not sure if you can hear if the transmission is working properly that way but...who knows.. a couple weeks after getting my car back with transmission will stay in a gear until I pullover shut the car off and restart it. I'm very upset with Aamco in West Seneca NY. My Mini Cooper's transmission failed May 3/11. They fixed it up for $5700 in a week. I got it back May 11. June 30th, barely 1 month later, I was on a road trip and within a half an hour, the tranny failed again: huge jerks, lost the higher gears, the car wouldn't shift above about 30 mph, still jerking around, the display showed "EP" signalling transmission problems, then the engine light came on. I was in an area where I didn't have cell service, but if I was in a hot spot, I could use FaceBook to message my husband back home. He made arrangements for the car to be towed back home. There was no Aamco nearby. There were a few along the route, but I was concerned about a week in a hotel room while they figured it out. It was evening, so I had to stay in a hotel one night, till I could get a rental car to get home. I spoke with Mike at Aamco. He told me they would pay for the tow, and to bring in all my receipts. They received my car on July 1, 11. I was able to pick it up on July 9th. It was fixed, and has been working fine so far. I was told something about paper having rough spots that break off after use and could jam thing up & cause the problems I'd had. I called a few times since, always speaking to Mike, who said that he didn't have a chance to speak to his boss, but that he'd get back to me later that day. Finally yesterday, I spoke with Mike again and this time, he said that he did speak with his boss. Then his tone became aggressive and belligerent. He had always been friendly to that point, as had I. He asked: who authorized this? I said he had. He denied it. He asked why didn't I stop at any of the other Aamco's along the route? I repeated our previous conversations to him. He pretended that it was all new to him, and that he would never have said it was ok. At one point, he said I should have my husband call. After quite awhile, he then asks me if I know what they did to fix it. I tell him what I could remember of what he told me. He then says that that was just his guess, and that actually, they did nothing to repair the car. There was nothing wrong with it at all, and that I must have been mistaken about everything. At that point, I was stunned and didn't know how to react at all. I know that they fixed it, because, at the minimum, the EP was gone from the display, and the engine light was off, and the car was working fine again. Please pass this story on to everyone. They cost me $5700 to repair the transmission, and then a month later, I'm now out $1,396.73 (tow, hotel & 1 day rental car) because it failed when I was out of town. I'm afraid to drive my car on any more road trips because I no longer trust the transmission. I would be very happy to hear from someone at Aamco who is willing to help make this right. Awful place took my truck there to get checked out.. charged me 50$ a month later I stop in because I haven't heard anything turns out they lost my information told me truck only needed a few things they wanted a deposit so I gave them a deposit to fix 1 thing and they gave me a hand wrote receipt.. so another month went by didn't hear anything from them so I stop by again to find out they lost my info again and nothings been done on my truck yet. I let it go proceeded to let them do the one job I gave them the money todo. Another month goes by and I get a call my trucks done and I owe them hundreds more than I was supposed to and they proceeded to tell me that there was a few more things wrong and they did the work without my knowledge or approval. I never signed anything agreeing to the work and what not so I took my truck to Monroe to get it looked over to see if what aamco was charging me for was actually done turns out not all was done but I was being charged for the work and that the truck and a rusted out section of the front frame and the truck should have never even been worked on . Never did randy Steiner the owner of that aamco or any of his guys tell me about this hole in the frame that will indefinitely fail the inspection and mind you they were. Going to pass this truck and let me go about my day in a unsafe vehicle . When I contact the owner he tells me bring the truck in we will take the parts off and refund you your money since when we did our first inspection of the vehicle the rust hole went unseen so I had them tow the vehicle back aamco and 2 days later (today) the owner calls me and tells me the frames not that bad and that I owe him 800$ on a vehicle that's not road legal or even safe for that matter he refuses to refund me even though he already said he would and is telling me he's going to sue me he's very rude and nasty during this whole ordeal read more

April 2018 Alert...I thought AAMCO was just for Transmissions but they service all cars, trucks, etc... I have had another awesome, positive experience at AAMCO on Sheridan Drive. I started my car this morning and I heard a terrible noise. I called AAMCO and asked if I could bring my car in for them to look at today because it was my only day off and I had to go to work tomorrow. Right away they asked if I could come in at 2:30 or 3pm. I was so happy that they understood that I only had today to bring in my car To be looked at and fixed. After being there a few minutes a tech came out and told me what was wrong with my car. Joe and the tech explained everything to me so I could understand. They also showed me on the computer what was wrong and what they would have to do to fix it. I'm so happy that I found a trust worthy automobile shop to take my car in to be fixed and know they will charge me a fair price and they stand behind their work. Thank you, Randy, Joe and all the tech guys for being understanding, trust worthy and very professional. Rip off!! Stay away. My son went once last fall they fix his car problem but the cost was high for the work done. So not know who else to go to he went last week because of a coolant leak. luckily, he didn't have the $1250 that they quoted him for the repair, $400 for a new water pump $50 for a thermostat (part cost only). I brought the car to my trusted mechanic in my home town. The problem was a cracked thermostat housing. Total with new coolant, labor and tax cost $150!! What are rip off! read more

Misdiagnosed the problem with my manual transmission after keeping it for 4 days. Returned it and it operated "iffy" for a week before failing again, took it back, failed a third time while I was in the Northtowns, took it somewhere else and had it fixed complete and correct in 24 hrs. Besides not repairing the correct system, ($405) they damaged my vehicle. They used the wrong tool to take it apart, scratching the paint. (do you really need to take the wipers off to repair the transmission?), Spilled some kind of brake fluid or solvent on the headlight lens etching the plastic. Took fuse box out of the engine compartment, lost the original bolts and replaced the metric (Honda) bolts with 1/4-20 bolts from Home Depot cross threading the mounting. The mechanic is incompetent and obviously doesn't care about the customers car. What do you think this is your property you are working on? NO it's mine. Very disrespectful of customer and customer's vehicle. DO NOT GO HERE. read more

Well after the transit road AAMCO SCREWED up my car and couldn't get it fixed and told me it was the engine and not transmission after stealing $2500 from me, they did the right thing and diagnosed the issues and had the car tip top in 3 days.
