Friendly and professional. I'm 77 years old and so have been at a LOT of vehicle repair centers over the years, therefore I'm speaking from experience. They have something that is missing from a lot of places: Honesty and reasonableness. Mike, the owner went above and beyond on my second visit to Auto Works by bringing my car back to me at Home Depot where I work. It's only about 2 blocks away but it was a cold and windy winter night so I really appreciated this extra touch. Stopped in and asked them to check my oil and tires. They added 1.5L oil and put air in my tires and added a bit of coolant to top up my coolant. Service was good, however they charged me $50 which I felt was rather expensive for a litre and a half of oil and a bit of coolant (air in the tires was free). Auto woks Hello for your explained my story quickly I left Quebec for a vacation in Niagara my car missed three times on the way a trip that was supposed to take me at 6.30am took me 13 hours by chance I managed to get with my vehicle which was default anyway at destination for good location everyone I walk with BMW from the 2010s There I had no contact to call for a reliable garage, finally I was referred (Auto works) so I decided to call this garage and I met a certain gentleman (Mike) very nice but very overwhelmed at that time he offered to do a scan on my car which we did afterwards he advised me very well and despite the fact that he was very very busy in a busy period he took charge of my car and made the repairs. So in summary I was very well received very well served very well advised and my car was going very well when I picked it up I was able to get to Quebec without any problem with its good recommendations I was able to complete the remaining repairs to be done on my car in Quebec. So without any hesitation keep this name in mind (auto works) and my contact on the spot was (Mike) probably the owner. To all the people who would decide to go on vacation in the corner of Niagara if you have a problem with your car you can trust this very competent gentleman and garage with very correct prices... in addition they know very well import cars Like my BMW... etc.... While driving to Niagara Falls for our 5 day vacation on Sunday 8/19/18 my check engine light came on and my car started to drive differently. I was able to make it to my destination. I was advised by my host Sharon that she knows a great mechanic who is honest and does a wonderful job. She told me to go see Mike at Auto Works. I went there Monday morning August 20, 2018 and saw Mike and right away I could tell he was a pleasure to deal with. He performed a scan test and told me I needed a MASS Air Sensor. Now I had just replaced the MASS Air Sensor & O2 Senor not even a month ago. Upon checking them Mike asked me when I replaced both of the sensors and if I used Nissan parts. I told him the MASS Air Sensor was a Bosch aftermarket part and the O2 Sensor was a Nissan. He stated that he has heard of issues with Nissans and aftermarket sensors. He also stated that it could be a defective part. But what impressed me the most was the way he processed and thought his way through the potential problems as he talked his way through looking over the engine checking everything as he was going along. He checked for vacuum leaks as he told me that could also contribute to the problem. He did inform me he could hear a growl coming from the compressor area when I had the fan/AC on and to have my own mechanic check it out when I got home. Mike cleaned the MASS Air Sensor and vacuumed out the compartments around it. He took the car for a test ride to make sure the light did not come back on. He was able to get the check engine light to stay off and had the car running smooth again. Mike spent about an hour and half on my car. When asked how much I owed him he said I was all set. I asked him again and he said "Nothing but if you want to do something you can buy me and my guys coffee and bagels." Mike went on to state he understands the frustration of breaking down and being in a different country is not easy and you on vacation to have fun. Mike also had me come back Tuesday morning to check the car again as he wanted me to do some driving Monday to make sure the light stayed off. After seeing Mike on Tuesday he told me I should be all set and not have any problems driving home but if the light comes on again while I was still in Canada to come back and see him.
