I called to confirm the price for a simple oil change. I gave them the year, make and model. I was put on hold for 10 minutes while they "confirmed the price". I was then told, yes, it will be $80. When I arrived, they said it would be $160 because it was a European car. Thats why I called and verified the price on an Audi Q5. Did they think the Audi was made in North America??? Took us in with short noticed with a flat tire, it was packed but they got us out within 45min and the customer service was great. Instead of trying to up charge, they fixed the flat with minimal cost. Highly recommend. read more

After being stranded in Canada with a flat and no spare and tires no one carries in stock (thanks Elon), this was the only place that found a way to help. Canadian Tire told us there was no availability for weeks. Costco wouldn't let me leave the key and pay for the tires for the work to be done when they came in. Midas was super helpful. I had to call three times due to towing issues with Tesla roadside service (also no help) and everyone was kind. Most importantly. They got the tires in two days and completed the work immediately. read more

I had an appointment for 12pm my car was in the shop by 12:05 and was put on the hoist. No one touched it for 1 hour so I asked if they had the part or were waiting for the part to come in. They said they had the part and why do you ask. My car had been on the hoist and no one was working on it. He went out to the garage and the mechanic started working on it. In the end I had to pay for 2 and 1/2 hours of labor . I will not be going back. read more

I went in for a quote for a frontend alignment, After I installed new front strut assembly. They gave me 2 quotes, one for 850 and one for 1100. they said that my A arm bushings were completely rotted out and it wasnt worth doing the alignment until this was addressed. So i went home, put a jack on the A arm, and jacked it up and down, LOOKED good to me, BUT what do I know.... Soooo I went for a second opinion, Quote came back for under 200. WOW It seems that when i installed the Strut Assembly I for got to install the CAMBER BOLTS. SO it was 40 for 2 cam bolts and 80 for the alignment. This could have be an honest mistake, BUT it would have cost me hhuuGGGE. Who knows if the mechanic would have ever noticed the camber bolts missing. I wont go back there.. read more

The staff at this Midas are all professional, and will not steer you in the wrong direction. They complete the repairs in a timely manner and review any problems with you. They can than tell you what can wait and what needs to be repaired as soon as possible. Any time I have had to get a few quotes Midas has always beet the competitors price. Here's the summary of what I'll write: -Honest (I cannot stress how honest these guys are, they look out for their customers) -Shuttle Service -Fast -Well priced -Welcoming I've been going to this midas location for 5 years now. I cannot describe how awesome these guys are. They are the most honest mechanics I've found. I've brought my car in recently because of a weird sound, ends up it was a hole in my exhaust. They could have fixed it and charged me, but they told me to check with my warranty and saved me quite a bit. To top if off, he didn't charge me for checking my car. I've also asked about my brakes, when I brought my car in for regular oil changes, and the mechanic was honest enough to tell me to wait till the next oil change because I still had some time on my current brake pads. When I do get stuff done on my car, they have my car ready within an hour and for major work it's done the same day. It's a family business, and you definitely get that feeling when you walk into the place. They're welcoming, friendly and they even have a shuttle service. Their prices are great too. I've brought my car to Canadian Tire for servicing before, and they take twice the time at twice the cost. If you choose these guys are your mechanics you won't be disappointed. read more

This shop cut corners while working with the brakeing system on my truck, and just about caused catastrophic brake failure on a major 400 series highway. After taking my truck to another shop for further observation it turns out that this Midas did not do the work that I paid them to do. This store is not trustworthy and I do not recommend them to anyone, ecspecially when they cut corners on a brake job that could have seriously injured or killed, me, my family or someone else. read more

When they found another problem they brought me in to show me and were able to do the repair, I didn't have to come back another day. DO NOT GO HERE. They replaced a brake line on my vehicle, only tightened the lug nuts on my Front drivers side by hand, all fell of about 500 meters down the road, if this happened at high speed on the highway it could have been fatal, they were very unapologetic and didn't seem to care, nor did Midas head office when contacted. Later found out that they lost parts of my car and replaced with heavily used, incorrect parts! read more

The employees are very nice but unprofessional. They forgot to put back the wheel lock keys when they returned the car, and when they did realize their mistake, they basically waited for me to find out and come back for it. Not even a phone call. I'm from out of town, so coming back for these key bolts would have been a nightmare. Because of this experience, I will not personally recommend this location to tourists just in case the same thing happens to them. read more

Went to Niagara Falls location with a non functioning washer pump. They replaced the pump. Next day I noticed that the washer fluid light was on. I refilled the tank and the light came on again a day or so later again. After several iterations of refilling the tank, only to have it leak out, I thought the tank was leaking and took it into my local shop (not /Midas) as I presumed that it was a tank problem since the pump was just replaced. Turns out, they used an incorrect grommet at the base of the pump. Had to pay for labour again and a new pump to get the grommet since it is Saturday and the dealer doesn't deliver. The new pump comes with a grommet which obviously wasn't used because it has more wear on it that it should after a few weeks and it doesn't fit properly. My mechanic showed me the new grommet and how it is supposed to fit (a big difference from what was used. I called the shop and they refused to reimburse any of the cost. The individual I spoke with was rude and only offered a free oil change next time i'm in town. He said I should have gone to a Midas for warranty. I'm not a mechanic and since the pump was just replaced, I presumed they did it properly and figured this issue was unrelated to the work they had completed. I would say that the term "unacceptable" regarding customer service is quite an understatement. Is it really worth losing a potential future customer over $100 in labour. My mechanic gave me the grommet that was used and it is clearly not new and didn't come with the pump. Live and learn I suppose. Very disappointed and will never go back. read more

I can't even tell you where to start. I received a $39 flyer in the mail which includes oil change, fluid top ups , tire rotation and courtesy check of the car. I had no idea this is going to become a complete nightmare for me. Long story short after my service Wendy at the desk gave me an estimate of $1150 for my brakes and stabilizer. The car was working perfectly fine before I got there and I asked the mechanic if the car is safe to drive to which he agreed. Once I got home, I heard some strange noise so I though must me something in my trunk. After a little while I was going somewhere with a friend and heard these weird noises like car will fall apart. I immediately called Midas and Kristy asked me to bring the car back. Mechanic decided to take the car for a test drive ALONE. Upon his return he was very agitated and I can see another gentleman getting upset. When I was waiting for the car, I checked out their sign on the door which says again that all fluids will be topped up. I immediately realized that they didn't put any windshield fluid in my car, it wasn't a big deal for me at that point but I politely ask the gentleman if he is a manager so he replied No I am the owner, what you want. I explained him that you guys didn't put windshield fluid to which he replied WHATS THE BIG DEAL, WE MIGHT HAVE RAN OUT. The correct answer would be I apologize, I will investigate how it was missed and put some for you right away. Then he has the courage to ask me to wait for 20 minutes so he can go buy some. What kind of oil change business run without necessary supply. I refused since I was worried about my car then oil change. I suspect they haven't done any service to the car and may have change or damaged my parts to scrape more money off me. Now I am unable to drive my car since I don't have the money to get it fixed. I have filed a complaint with Midas Head office. I am so surprised how businesses like these are operation. Do not ever go this place, save your hard earned money. If you receive flyer for this location, throw it away even if they offer a free courtesy check or service. I wish I could give them negative ratings. .
