They seemed pretty new and didn't know the menu inside and out yet, but everyone was pleasant and eager to help. One thing that caught my attention was seeing the cook hanging out near the bar instead of in the kitchen--kind of odd, but not a big deal. The food was excellent. The salmon was cooked perfectly, the short rib pasta was outstanding, and the pork belly appetizer was absolutely delicious and a great way to start the meal. It's a little more expensive than most places around here, but the quality of the food makes it worth it. Overall, Fireside Kitchen is a great addition to the area, and we'll definitely be back.

Having heard good things about their Burgers I opted to go with their Classic Cheeseburger and fries for $15 and two of their house margarita's which were the drink of the day on Tuesdays for $5 apiece. Realtive to the burger, it was quite large at 1/2 lb and definately a two hander. It was well made, quite juicy, with fresh veggies and very very tasty. The fries were well made as well with a nice crunchy texture and quite tasty in their own right. Lastly my two Margarita's very well made and oh so good where I had only planned on getting one but opted for two after the first sip. NICE! At $5 a piece this was an absolute steal! Relative to facility and staff, the restaurant is visually very appealing with vibrant Irish accents, neon sign's everywhere and TV's scattered to allow you to watch the big game of the day while enjoying your meal. The decor defiantely adds a lot to the dining experience. Staff was very friendly with great follow up throughout. Overall this is a great bar/restaurant whose reputation is well deserved. If you like something refreshing, this one is for you. After looking over both menus, we figured why not go with the taco Tuesday vibe and ordered tacos. Hubby went with 3 beef (ground beef, cheese and pico sauce on the side as we requested) in hard shells. I went with a steak taco (steak, cheese, onions and cilantro on a flour tortilla), one beef and the pork belly in a flour tortilla. They made a mistake and sent out a steak and cheese taco (think kind of like a Philly but with steak chunks). Our server caught it and brought me out the pork belly. The verdict? Absolutely yummy! Where we are from down south, there seems to be an Americanized Mexican place on almost every corner. You probably know the kind. We never order a "steak anything" from those places because the meat is always overdone and like shoe leather. Not here!! The steak on both of my tacos was cut in chunks and super tender. All the meat tacos came with a nice amount of cheese and it was melted (a nice touch). But the star of the show for me?? Oh my that pork belly taco!! The pork belly was crisp (not overly so) and cooked in this amazing Korean BBQ type sauce. It was topped with a pineapple salsa that really balanced the dish out. We ordered a few things for the table and it felt like the kind of place where you just keep ordering one more thing because everything sounds good. Nothing heavy, just really well done bites that let the wine shine. Speaking of wine, the selection is awesome. It's not the usual predictable restaurant list. There are some really interesting bottles and styles on there, which makes it fun if you actually enjoy trying different wines instead of just defaulting to the same thing every time. Service was great too. Everyone we interacted with was friendly and welcoming, and you can tell the owners are really hands-on and working hard to make the place special.
