Then there was the turkey melt. All the day-after-Thanksgiving goodness you'd expect. Cranberry chutney, sourdough bread, caramelized onion. Savory flavors. Our waitress, Betty, has been working there since 1999. She has the friendliest smile. Becca, the head chef, visited with us to talk about the meal, the restaurant, and her love for Clarkston Union. Lastly my two Margarita's very well made and oh so good where I had only planned on getting one but opted for two after the first sip. NICE! At $5 a piece this was an absolute steal! Relative to facility and staff, the restaurant is visually very appealing with vibrant Irish accents, neon sign's everywhere and TV's scattered to allow you to watch the big game of the day while enjoying your meal. The decor defiantely adds a lot to the dining experience. Staff was very friendly with great follow up throughout. Overall this is a great bar/restaurant whose reputation is well deserved. They kept order turns moving while making a little small talk. I really like that they didn't spend too much time with any individual at the bar and that they kept working. I can't imagine how tired they were by end of their shift! Ambiance is great. We're looking forward to trying their outdoor seating when it gets warm enough to do so. Size wise, this place can manage large groups but be sure to call in advance so they can staff accordingly. It looks like there's a banquet room and that they can also accommodate larger groups in the main area. They really hustle. The owner was nearby, checking on things as the evening wore on.
